To get a popular blog is not easy. You need to work hard on both putting out great material and market your blog. Even if you do this it still usually takes time before you get any visitors.

However there are a few things that can help you build a popular blog. First of all you must realize that most people that visit your blog wont come back. Not because your blog is necessarily bad but that is just how it is.

Realizing this is very important since you also understand that you need to do everything you can to make the visitors come back. Sure you must have good content, but besides that there are a few tricks one can use to help people remember your blog.

You should have a RSS Feed on your blog. This is important since the subscribers is somewhat of a core to the blog. The visitors that will read your posts every day.

A newsletter. Many bloggers forget this or think it is something of the past. However I think it is also a part of the core visitors of a blog. You can use this to send weekly updates or if you have a killer post that you want to give some extra attention for social media purposes or whatever it may be. It basically reminds people of your blog and the more they come back the better.

As a conclusion there are often a lot mentioned about how to get visitors to your blog. However the important part is how to keep your visitors. That is crucial knowledge to any blogger.
