By Peter Clarke

Once you have made a decision to create a website especially if it is your first attempt you are probably thinking that you do not want to spend a large sum of money on it. The solution to this problem is to use the right tools to create free websites.

Perhaps one of the biggest recent sea changes on the internet has been the rise and rise of the blog. Blogging is cool, easy to produce and does not rely on lots of technical skills or talent. As time has gone on the blog has developed from a simple journal to a full blown and respected work tool containing full media power.

It goes without saying that free website makers could not ignore this phenomenon. Virtually every website template now offered has a blog option should this be your chosen route. This trend has evolved so much in the arena of creating free websites that a blog can actually blossom into a full website for an individual.

Another huge advantage of setting up a blog is that it is even easier to setup than a standard website. You only need to register provide a password and choose a template from the ones provided and you are good to go. No linking to other pages or designing lots of things as in reality the blog is only one page at a time and it grows with you.

A blog is a wonderful way for anyone to create a web presence and this was more difficult before blogs came along when creating free websites, for oneself. Pictures and even videos can be easily added to enhance your site.

All the fancy professional things that used to amaze and bemuse new web site builders are now within reach of everyone trying to create a free website.

Blogs are also easy and efficient to get around. A couple of clicks and a post has been uploaded, whilst photos and other media can simply be uploaded direct from your computers hard drive. Use a Blog to Attract More Customers

By Mitch Webb

If you want to establish credibility, attract more customers, or gain a larger audience, creating a blog is an ideal way to accomplish that goal. Search engines will index your blog content, making it easier for potential customers to find you and the products or services you offer. A blog is a simple, cost effective way to create a professional online presence.

What is a Blog?

A blog is a web site in which items are posted on a regular basis and displayed in reverse chronological order that can be viewed in a web browser. The term blog is a shortened form of web log. Creating a blog, maintaining a blog or adding content to a blog is called "blogging". Individual content on a blog are referred to as "blog posts". A person who posts content is called a "blogger". The blog software that allows you to manage your website is called "CMS" or "Content Management System".

A blog allows you to quickly post your thoughts, interact with other people, and to establish yourself as a subject matter expert. Your blog may contain text, video, images, and links to other web sites. The hardest part of writing a blog is keeping it updated. Fresh content is critical to the success of your blog. It should be updated frequently in order to attract new visitors and to maintain your readers' attention.

Technorati, which is among the most popular blog search engines, provides current information on both popular searches and tags used to categorize blog postings. Blogs have reshaped the Internet, impacted politics, changed journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others. It has also created a new affordable low cost method of Internet marketing.

Blogging Your Way to Success

By Lauren Heim

Network marketing is all about creating communities with people of similar interests and goals. Blogging is a perfect way to get your name out there.

Blogging is something that you can do with your team (or downline) to share ideas. You can post anything that might seem relevant. Be personable, show personality...

Not every single entry needs to be directly related to your business (but most should be). You can use it to post anything on your mind. It could be an internet tip or general business tip. Have fun!

Let's say you have a prospect that is still unsure... You might direct them over to your teams blog and let them see the positive interaction between team members. If your blog is like most, your prospect will see the sense of community and positive relationships with each other.

If done effectively, blogging can bring significant targeted traffic to your website. If you do it consistently, you could bring as many as 100 new leads to your blog everyday. Let the leads come to you - NEVER buy them!

Take time and carefully consider the best name for your blog. You can find tips online for this process, but keywords in your title will make you or break you.

If you're still unsure about how to get started or what to write, then check out some examples online through your favorite search engine. When you find one that looks interesting, try it out. Get some practice posting and replying on their blogs before starting your own. They are fun- and it can be another great way to generate leads!

Love Blogging and Love How it Increases Your Business

By Laura Licata

Blogging has become an essential part of building an internet home business. Bloggers who can provide a more personal tone to their posts will have readers coming back for more. People are on their computers all day and judging people and businesses solely on what they read. If your site or writing style does not stand out then it will be very difficult to make a great impression. Don't you want them to come back for more? So how do you do it?

For starters, a good sense of humor will make people read on. Sure, giving out valid information is important, but in can be infused with anecdotes and definitely humor. You do not want to give a boring description of how to succeed online for example. Just write about you. Give examples of your day to day issues with your business whether they are positive or negative. Remember, this is a blog post and you pretty much have free reign. That is the key because people will keep coming back if you give them a reason.

If you really love your business, then you can show it with your words. When people are excited about any subject and love it, it's so easy to feel that enthusiasm. It does not have to been in someone's physical tone of their voice, it can be in their writing. Enthusiasm is easy to project when you are really feeling it. When you are not enthusiastic and feeling a little bland, that shows as well.

What are you going to do to project your enthusiasm? Tell a fun story about something that happened regarding your business. Do you have any humorous stories that may even be at your own expense? Did anything great happen where you can give some intimate details? The details of how you are expressing yourself and what you are trying to promote can be the most interesting. It's all in how you word it. Just pretend you are talking to a friend.

Use blogging as a way to attract people to you. Write about anything. Can you be introspective about something personal? Did you have a great vacation? Just write. People will be drawn to you and want to know more when you can write about a moving personal experience. The more they get to know you, the more they will also trust you and that is what you are seeking in the end. But don't forget, make sure you are worthy of that trust and you will have lots of regular readers as well as interested parties who trust your opinions.

Things to Know When Starting a Blog

By Larry McCullough

Blogging is a relatively new term, yet to be accepted in the recognized dictionaries. However the mega source of information in this web world, Wikipedia mentions the following:

"A blog (an abridgment of the term web log) is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog."

These days people use the cyber world to their fullest advantage. It is used to communicate, express, exchange knowledge, products and goods very effectively. Blogs provide the users with a platform to communicate, to exchange knowledge and gain from it. Getting started with blogging is quite easy. Let's look at the steps to get you started with blogging:

First, get connected to the Internet and subscribe to any of the number of blog providers like Blogspot or Wordpress. These providers will give you cyber space to host your blog. Alternately, you can also consider opening your own domain and brand yourself in the market.

Secondly, decide on a topic for your blog. A topic that you have knowledge of and can keep up to date. It should be a relevant and should provide the audience with reliable information. Topics can range from hobbies to reviews to technical subjects.

Next, decide on the layout of your blog. All blog space providers have templates that you can choose from to decide on the layout of your blog. Remember it should be relevant to your topic, if your blog requires daily image uploads or link uploads then decide on a layout that is user-friendly for the readers.

Then, choose keywords and start blogging. Use the keywords effectively, keep your articles precise and to the point. Remember do not use keywords one after another, spread those uniformly. These keywords will help your blog be noticed in search engines like Google or Yahoo.

Next, keep people informed about your blog, market it well, spread the word anyway possible from word of mouth or through forum posts. The idea is to generate as much online traffic as possible to your blog. There are a number of online advertising and promotion opportunities that you can effectively utilize. There is also number of ways of making money out of your blog. We suggest that you refer to more detailed articles on that. Although it may sound vague, but people do make five figures income simply through blogs these days and if you research well and execute a well-planned approach, it is guaranteed for you as well.

Finally, remember to evaluate your blog regularly, observe the traffic flow, see the actual number of hits that are giving you income in return, feel the pulse of your readers and update the blog accordingly. Remember the age-old saying 'A rolling stone gathers no moss.' So keep it new, engrossing and simply put keep it moving!

Small Business Blogs Vs Corporate Communication Blogs - Customers Choose Creative Content

By Lance Winslow

Okay so you are a small business person and you now have your own blog. Of course, now you have also noticed that your major competition, a big corporation, also has a communication blog. You worry because it is slick, trendy and obviously professionally done. Thus, you are wondering how can you compete with that? Well, the Internet levels the playing field in this case. How so you ask?

Well, it is the customer who chooses which content they wish to read on the Internet, the consumer is king, they know it and no corporation or anyone else for that matter is going to tell them what to read, how to think or what to say in the information age. Indeed, power to the people is a very good statement right about now in the blogosphere.

Guess what? You have a serious advantage on your blog, because your business is local and you can cater to the local area, whereas your corporate communication blog competitor cannot! You can write posts about your small business and how you interface with the community locally; you can discuss nonprofit groups, schools, parks and all things local.

Folks are concerned about the things that affect themselves and their families personally. So, capitalize on this fact. Make a list of potential things that you hear your customers talking about and ask them for advice on what to post on your blog. Many of your customers will have opinions on such things. You see, you can compete against the Big Boys Blogs without any problem, so don't let their communication blogs psyche you out.

Business Blogs Have Rev Limiters - Learn Your Subscribers Tolerance

By Lance Winslow

Just because you are capable of posting hundreds of blog posts per month, does not mean you should. Anyone can write 3-blog posts a day and perhaps even make them all very interesting, humorous or informational. Nevertheless, if you blog too much and/or too often you will find that your viewership might become overwhelmed and no longer be interested. So, you are now wondering; just how much is too much blogging?

Well, you can blog once per day on a business blog and get away with it, much more than that and you may find your loyal readership becomes uninterested. I know this sounds weird, because if they were truly interested they would want more right? Yes, that is what you would expect, but in blogging that happens not to be the case. In fact, business blogs that blog every other day or 3-times per week seem to do as good or even better than those that have daily postings.

Most corporate communication blogs that deal with the customers realize that they must stay on message and with their branding strategy, diluting it with all sorts of off-topic comments and thoughts can actually hurt the company's marketing mission. After all, corporations spend big on putting forth a specific, simple message to the consumer, one which will resonate along a certain theme.

A small business person with a blog should not post too many blog posts too often because their customers are not expecting lots of blog posts. They are expecting interesting, unique and important information, but not all at once or at such a high frequency rate that they do not have time to read it all.

Tips to Power Up Your Relationships in Blogging

By Jeremy Long Chia Teik

Blogging shrinks the world. Different people from different parts of the world are brought together through the blog. On the blog, making good conversations are rewarding as it brings more traffic, communication, interactivity, exchange of various views and opinions, and more importantly, it opens the door to building up effective relationships with other bloggers.

The blog can be used for personal reasons or it can be used for marketing purposes. No matter what intentions it is being used for, it can bring positive rewards and success. Therefore, it is essential to power up your relationships in blogging if you want to achieve great success on both fronts.

How can you go about doing it and achieving the success that you want for your blog and online business? Here are some tips that will guide and help you:

(1) Apply your voice effectively

The blog represents you. It requires a voice that speaks to the rest of the world in a manner that is both sincere and transparent. You will be able to win over the trust of others if you show that you have a listening ear too. This is one of the effective tips to power up your relationships in your blogging. People will be moved and will return to communicate more with you.

(2) Always be interactive

Blogging is intrinsically an interaction between two bloggers who would communicate views and opinions in a non-prejudiced way. Exchange of ideas increases the level of interactivity. Both bloggers get to learn from each other. This raises the level of confidence and trust that is so crucial to building the vital relationship needed in blogging.

(3) Show your love for feedback

In your blog, you will have the comments box. Encourage visitors to drop their comments on their visit to your blog. Comments will help you understand your blog better. You can then plan to make it work more effectively for your business. Sharing of views and requesting help will further draw your visitors closer to you.

(4) Aim to enhance your positive experiences

The blog provides the best opportunity for you to improve your positive experiences with other bloggers. Building the precious relationship will take some time; it will definitely grow naturally and progressively. Others will get to know you more and more in the future. You will thus be able to power up your relationships. Your positive experiences will cause the visibility of your blog to increase.

(5) Make yourself known to other bloggers

If you want to initiate, strengthen and grow relationships with others, you have to make yourself known first. You can achieve this via the feed. Others will develop a certain perception about you. They will be able to understand you better - your passions and personality traits through your blog and blog content.

(6) Aim to build mutual respect

In blogging, it is vital to build and strengthen the relationship between yourself and others. There must be the connection that will pave the way for future growth of your blog and business. One way that helps to power up your relationships in blogging is by means of links. Links prove effective especially when they infer that you have great content on your blog for your visitors to read and digest. Links indirectly are a measure of respect.

(7) Make full use of technology

Communication that is personalized is the main keyword in blogging. The blog is the platform to succeed in effective communication and useful contribution. Converse more with others who have the same interests. Now, there is Skype that provides the latest technology in real-time talk. Your relationship with others enters a new, refreshing and higher level.

(8) Use the email

The relationships that you have developed through your blog can be strengthened yet another level using the email. The email is simple and well-loved by many bloggers. It plays the role of extending the conversation from comments to your mail box. Through time, relationships will become stronger.

In conclusion, blogging provides many opportunities to build real and cordial relationships amongst bloggers. Provide your human touch and personalized voice, and you will be on the road to success in blogging.

Blogging For Money - Making Online Cash

By Jason Warren Wieland

If you're wondering whether or not making money using blogs is possible, there are plenty of experts who are using it is a money making or marketing tool - a good example are authors that are currently on the New York Times and other best selling books' lists. The main reason that many of these books are successful is due to the authors' web sites and blog content. Using their blogs, they are able to keep in touch with nearly every reader, track statistics, and identify strengths in their marketing campaign to maximize.

That's one example, you say, but what about a more general blog (for more of an online entrepreneur novice)? In all honesty, I've come across many different blogs on the internet and many of them are apparently content-less and ineffective. Making money on the internet is not for the weak or faint of heart - if you don't know where you're headed and don't have a solid business plan, there's little you can achieve with a blog. If you bump across one of these bloggers, I'm sure you'll find that most of them are struggling. With all of the available ebooks and information on making money online, many have just picked up the blog trend and attempted to earn cash from it. The truth is, it's a bit more involved than it seems.

Having a successful money making blog requires networking, marketing (internet, word of mouth), rich content, and optimization for search engines. If people don't know about your blog or can't find it, you can write some of the most helpful content 15 hours a day, and you won't make a dime. If you want to make some money on the internet, a blog is a great tool, but you need to setup a business infrastructure first.

The main thing you need to do is to identify what business you're in. Blogs are information rich web sites, so if you're in the business of selling shoes and you don't have much news or updated content regarding your shoes on a daily or weekly basis, a blog won't do you any good. If you're in the service business (i.e. - coaching sales people how to make more sales), on the other hand, a blog will prove very useful - you can write books or ebooks and promote them on your blog; you can provide some helpful tips and resources on a weekly basis and optimize your web site to attract sales people who will find your ideas actionable. In this regard, a blog will be a great marketing tool to help you earn money online.

Of course, you don't need to be a superb expert to benefit from a blog - as long as your business idea and model can make use of the networking and content-rich aspects of a blog, there is a good chance it will be a useful marketing and thus, money making tool. There are a plethora of large market niches that you can probably associate yourself with, so taking the time to find out your passion and noticing what works and sells in specific markets of interest will prove to be the best starting point. In essence, jump into blog-mode only after you've resolved to pursue a blog-worthy business.

Hub Pages - Here's a Sure Way to Get Your Hub Page Banned

By Donna Abreu

Hub pages are similar to Squidoo lenses and blogs. There are differences though, so let me outline those for you as well as give you some tips to save you time and effort of learning the long way!

1. When you first publish your Hub (from the Edit mode, there is a Publish button), it takes a couple of days for them to approve it. It was not super obvious to me that the page was "in review" and not yet published.

So when you start wondering what happened to your Hub page, it's probably still in review.

2. When you "test" your hub, you have to be sure you are logged out of your Hub pages account to perform a "true" test. I was logged in after I first created my Hub page.

And so when I went to my hub page, it appeared as if it was published. But it really wasn't! Others could not see it. I could only see it because I was still logged in without realizing it.

3. You can't have many links going out from your Hub page. One url at the beginning to your domain, and one at the end. That's about it, or it won't be approved!

4. Overall, building a Hub page is not as easy to build as a Squidoo lens. The interface is not as easy to use, and you can only insert pictures in between the other modules (such as a text module). So, your picture can't be to the right or left of your text.

Also, the image module will only support one picture. So to have multiple pictures, you need to create multiple image modules. This limitation makes it harder to get the layout that you desire.

5. Squidoo lenses and Hub pages can be thought of as blogs on steroids. Try to get in the habit of updating them regularly with new content, such as adding (or replacing) a new video, adding a new post/comment. Ping the site every time you make a change (do it immediately after the change). You can use iPings to do that. The frequent pinging will bring traffic.

For those of you newbies to internet marketing, creating a Squidoo Lens or Hub Page will be much easier and faster than creating a blog. You can do a Word Press blog later on, when you've gotten your feet real wet.

Your Blog, Your Choice

By Dimitry Dowzhenko

Now that your blog is up and running you need to carefully analyze what you are going to deliver for your readers. Here are a few pointers that might be helpful.

Quality

This has everything to do with how much traffic you are going to attract. Whether you will have thousands visiting your site or whether none will want to take a look at what you have written will all depend on the quality of your writing contents. Plagiarizing or using information from other sites is a very cheap way to update your blog. Make your target audience satisfy with original fresh and controversial posts that will change the way people look at things or do things.

Length

You must also take in to consideration the average length of your posts. Much of this has to do with the type of audience you are reaching out to.

By inserting search polls in to your web you will be able to get a general idea of your targeted audience and the length of your post has to differ with whom you cater for. By taking these factors in to consideration you will be more equipped to decide the length of your posts.

Frequency

Sometimes it might be bothering you how often you should be updating your blog to keep your readers interested. Of course frequency would depend on your niche, what you write about. As an example if you are writing about an interesting incident about a celebrity which seems to be dragging on, like a divorce case, you will need to keep your readers updated on a daily basis, more or less sometimes twice a day. Other scenario is that you have a blog in which you share odd news stories and funny videos with your visitors. Do you think you would have strong reader loyalty if you only posted something new a few times per week? Probably not. Why? Because with as many strange things that get be expected to change rapidly. A blog focusing on something such as this would probably make multiple posts per day.

Think about your subject matter and your audience, then decide on a frequency that works best for you. The important part is that once you make a decision- stick with it! Nothing confuses your readers more than making sporadic posts.

Consistency

Many blog owners want to make that great first impression, so they'll be posting tons of really valuable self-written content. Sometimes after a few weeks, you'll notice the quality and frequency of the posts start to decline. Great self-written articles begin to be replaced by pulls from different RSS feeds. All of a sudden, posting YouTube videos seems much easier than coming up with new material.

In the end, you will fare much better with 50 loyal, regular visitors than you will with 500 random one-time-only visitors. Be consistent with whatever you do on your blog. Otherwise, you will just confuse your visitors and they'll go someplace else.

Now there are blog automation software such as http://www.blogwarriorelite.com to help you to keep your blog regularly updated with a frequency to your liking.

Turn a Simple Blog Into a Great Home Business - 5 Tips

By Angela Booth

Did you know you can turn a simple blog into a great home business? Others have done it, and you can too. But wishing and hoping for success won't bring in the money; in this article we discuss five tips which will.

1. Create a Plan for the Blog, and Set Goals

Start with a plan. If you've already tried blogging and failed, you failed because you didn't plan both your content and your marketing before you created the blog.

Your plan can be brief, but it should contain:

* Your goals for the blog, with milestones at six months, one year, and two years;

* Your budget;

* The time you have available to blog;

* Your marketing plan.

Does this sound like too much work? Remember that you're creating a business. If you set your blog on a proper business footing from the beginning, not only will you make a profit from your blogging, you can also sell your blog if you wish.

2. Choose a Topic You're Passionate About, and which is Profitable

What would you really love to blog about?

Here's a clue: what do you discuss with friends? Do you talk about golf, makeup and beauty tips, home prices and your mortgage...? You'll spend a lot of time thinking about your blog, and creating the content. If you're lukewarm about the blog's topic, your blog will die from your lack of inspiration.

Competition in a niche shouldn't faze you. In fact lots of competition is a sign that the niche is profitable.

Other signs that a niche is profitable include: lots of advertising, many affiliate products, and big companies in the niche.

3. Research Other Blogs in the Niche - Do Something Different

Once you've decided on a niche, check out other blogs covering the same topic.

What can you focus on in your blog that's a little bit different? For example, there are many "food" blogs, how could you create a blog that's unique to you? Could you combine food and another area, perhaps? Something like... "fast and easy fat-free home cooking for busy working moms" - this blog could combine three or even four areas: recipes, dieting, parenting, and time management.

4. Build Content and Traffic - Create a Community

Three years ago, it was enough to create a blog. Traffic arrived of its own accord. That's no longer the case. Blogging has become super competitive, but don't let this scare you.

All it means is that you'll need to focus on marketing your blog, as well as on creating content.

In your plan for your blog, outline some ways you could get traffic: commenting on other blogs, writing articles for other blogs and sites, advertising - your marketing options are limitless.

You need to create community, too. Encourage comments, and interact with your blog's visitors.

5. Create Content and Market Your Blog Every Day

In the first few months of blogging, you should create content and market your blog every day. This not only builds up a presence in the search engines, so that you start getting a constant flow of traffic, but also creates the foundation of your business.

Promoting Products Using Your Blog

By Andy Crofford

Promoting any type of product can be downright difficult. Especially when trying to promote someone else's product or website. The best part is that it doesn't have to be so hard. I will go over how to make product promotions easy.

Promoting affiliate products starts by simply enticing someone to visit the site where the item you are promoting is located. If you are a blogger you can make use of your blog to promote this product. Here is an example.

You find a product you think your blog readers will like. Your blog is about your personal life. To promote the product you could post an entry about it. Make it look like a normal post. Don't change your posting style or your readers will notice something is up. Emphasize how much you like the product, but don't over hype it. You will have to include your call to action. Again, you must make it look natural. Some believe this is wrong to do to your readers. To alleviate yourself of some guilt just make sure you actually like the product you are promoting and there shouldn't be a problem. Now, some bloggers have really loyal readers and they are fortunate enough to be able to come right out and say "Here is an affiliate link. I like this product. Please help me out by signing up." Unless you are incredibly lucky you will most likely have to follow the first bit of advice. This type of promotion is a lot like television. You have the show you enjoy watching, or in this case blog that you like to read, and every once in a while there is a commercial.

See how easy it is? There are a lot of people who make some good money promoting products this way. Use your blog to your advantage and let it make some money for you. Now that's what I call effective marketing.

Andy Crofford has been working on the web since the early 90's. He enjoys Internet Marketing as well as writing articles and reviewing products. His review of Project Quick Cash can be found at http://www.theprojectquickcashreview.com

The Many Ways You Can Monetize (Make Money With) A Blog

By Yousef M Julaidan

It is a really good idea to monetize your blog after setting it up. There is no harm in generating some extra income for yourself right. It is much easier to monetize your blog if you are using your own template and your blog is hosted by your hosting company (which is the more difficult way for setting up a blog!) rather than being hosted by the blog own server. You can do this by making changes to your blog body and sidebar using any HTML editor. There are a couple of ways to monetize a blog:-

1- Google AdSense:- These are ads relevant to the page topics and when people click on it, you get paid!. Once again, it is very easy to do it if you have your own template and you used the second method to set up your blog.

a. Open up an AdSense Google account by signing up as publisher. Very straight forward; user name, password and other info and you are done.

b. Inside your Google AdSense account, there are set up tools to help you set up your AdSense units. Use it to set up the units to the dimensions and the colors you need.

c. After setting up the dimensions and colors of the AdSense units, you will be provided with a script. Copy it and paste it to a notepad file for later use.

d. Using an HTML editor, copy the script and paste it in the location you want the Google AdSense ad to appear in the blog. Make sure you use the right dimensions of AdSense units to match the space you want to insert it in.

2- Kontera text adlinks:- These are adlinks that highlight some keywords in your text and place links on these keywords to actual products and service. If someone clicks on a link and buys that products or service, you get a commission! The good news is, these can be utilized even if you don't set up the blog using method 2 above. Here is how to do it:-

a. Go to Kontera's website and sign up.

b. They will provide you with a script with a distinctive ID in it pointing to your account.

c. Open your blog text editor and write a topic as you usually do.

d. After you are done, switch to the HTML view.

e. Copy the whole Kontera script and paste it at the very end in the HTML code view of your blog editor.

f. That's it! The links will start to appear automatically after that when you or anyone views the blog.

g. Repeat the last 4 steps with every blog entry you write.

3- Your affiliate links:- This is by far could be the most profitable if you know how to utilize it correctly. Basically, everybody is willing to pay you if direct a customer to them and a sale took place. Big names like Amazon, e-bay, target, Wal Mart just to name a few. You can either put a text link in your blog or a graphic link like banners. Hyperlink it with your affiliate link and that's it. Here is how to do it:-

a. Go to the merchant you are interested to be an affiliate. For example go to Amazon.com and look for an "affiliates" or "associates" link.

b. Sign up and choose a password and user name.

c. Each merchant will have an arsenal of graphics and banners for you to use and place in your website or blog scripted and ready with your affiliate ID.

d. If they don't, don't worry. They will at least give you a unique link that you can connect to any graphics you can make yourself.

e. Use the tools there to make custom graphics with custom dimensions and looks.

f. After you are done customizing, copy the script and paste it in the desired place in your blog.

Next, you need to get some traffic (visitors) to your blog, which can be really challenging and will be the topic of another Article!

How to Set Up a Blog and Design it to Look Exceptional

By Yousef M Julaidan

So you probably have heard a lot about the blogging craze everywhere. These days, very few people don't have blogs. People have blogs for various reasons. To name a few: to express themselves, to give advice and counseling about certain topics, to raise awareness about a certain issue, to make money etc. Yes you heard that right, you can make some money from blogs and a lot of people are doing it!

The first step towards starting a blog is setting up the blog by itself. You can set up a blog with word press, which is the most widespread blog site, or blog spot or blogger, which both are owned by Google. There are many other smaller blogging websites, but the 3 I just mentioned are the most widely spread. Setting up the blog is easy and not that hard. It could be challenging for people who never dealt with the internet and computers before, but most blog sites have easy to follow instructions and guides. I think that no matter how hard setting up a blog could be for someone, it is really worth it.

There are 2 options when it comes to setting up a blog. One is to set it up to be hosted by the blog own server or to be hosted by the server you are using. The only difference is that if the blog is hosted by your own server, you have more freedom in terms of customizing the blog design and look. In addition, if you host the blog and connect it with a link to your website, it will help in search engine rankings.

Here are the steps you have to follow to set up the blog to be hosted by the blog own server:-

1- Go to the blog site you want to set up the blog with.

2- Sign up and assign a user name and a password.

3- Chose the theme you like. These themes are ready made for you and there are so many to suit your taste and the subject of your blog. You can change the theme at any time.

4- Choose the header. The header is the picture in the theme. You can insert your picture there or any picture relevant to your blog topic.

5- Choose a title for the blog. This is the headline of your blog. Make it short and to the point.

6- Set up the description of the blog. Be brief, ad use 10 to 20 words to describe what you blog is all about.

7- Choose your keywords or tags. These are the keywords that people will find your blog with when they do a keyword search. Choose max 10 highly targeted keywords that are relevant to your blog's topic.

If you want to set up the blog to be hosted by your own server, here are the steps:-

1- Go to the c-panel of your hosting account.

2- Most hosting accounts these days have blog setups with few clicks of the mouse. It is usually a button there that says quick blog setup or something close to that.

3- Click it and it will ask you for the blog name, user name, and password.

4- After setting up the blog, you can customize its design and look by using your own templates. You can find free blog templates online or you can buy one for better quality.

5- Using an FTP client, upload the template to the themes folder of your blog in the same server you installed the blog in.

6- Go to your blog admin board in the blog website. Change the theme of the blog to the one you just uploaded.

7- While you still there in the admin board, set up the title, description and keywords of your blog.

By time, you will notice that you are getting used to modifying and playing with the design of your blog. It will be like your painting, everyday you make more improvements and add artistic details here and there and this is very good as the more you perfect your blog, the better it will look and attract readers. My advice is, if you want to make a strong entry into the blogging world, learn some HTML and how to use an editor to modify it and play with the design. Believe me, it isn't rocket science! I recommend Microsoft Front Page as it is like using a word editor, but with a HTML twist. If you feel that you are getting more confident, try Adobe Dream Weaver as a lot of website designers use it to build very good looking and professional websites with the minimum possible knowledge of code.

10 Blogging Tips For Successful Blogging

By Elena Konkina

Millions of people are blogging today, but lots of them are simply "surviving" instead of having fun and earning money by blogging. I have put together 10 tips that will help you run your blog, get more readers and achieve higher rankings!

1. Write about something that you are personally passionate about. This is the only way to keep your blog engaging, fun, and full of fresh content. Unless you are running a corporate blog, write about people that you met today, a book that you are going to read tomorrow - you got the idea. Write that entertain you without a specific number of subscribers that you want to achieve. Your motivation for blogging should be beyond that fact.

2. Running contest to get subscribers is not a way to get loyal readers. The only way to build a quality traffic is by providing a steady stream of content for at least a couple of years. You can spend hundreds of dollars for prizes in exchange for subscribing to your RSS or email, but your "winners" will leave your blog as soon as you give away the prizes. So, there are not shortcuts here.

3. You should make a list of things that you want to blog about. Open these categories and add one more to cover everything that goes beyond your main categories. For example, the Wagg.it blog is about blog promotion and blog promotion tips. But I am dining out and meeting very interesting people every week, so I decided to add 2 more categories: Living in SF and Digital Business World.

4. Use Flickr and Picnik accounts for easy blogging. These two will make your blogging possible in just one click. You take a picture (in my case with 3G iPhone), send it to your Flickr account and editing it by using "Picnik" option. Then you can add some text and publish your new blog post without even leaving Flickr!

5. Open an account on Entrecard.com. There are many complaints that traffic from this site is "bounced" and people don't spend more than 3 seconds on a blog, but it is a good and yet free way to let bloggers find your blog. While some bloggers just "drop" cards, other bloggers stop by and read and after a while you will notice that the number of your readers have increased!

6. If you have at least one blog, it makes perfect sense to set up one more blog. You learn everything and get necessary skills and experience with your first blog, and your every other blog is as easy as 1-2-3. For example, one of my new blogs is just a week old, but I didn't spent much time on it since I knew how to do it.

7. Add your blog's URL to your favorite "social" accounts, such as Digg, Wagg, Propeller etc

8. Add your blog's URL to the most trafficked forums and your traffic will dramatically increase in case you follow basic rules: ask questions, share your expertise and never get involved in conflict situations.

9. Bookmark your blog posts! I wouldn't recommend bookmarking every blog posts, but if you think that you wrote something valuable that might be interesting for people, go ahead and bookmark it! For saving your time and efforts, use the Wagg.it SEO services.

10. Offer advertising space on your blog and paid reviews in order to monetize your blog. Mention that you have different ad options in "About Us" or "Contact Us" sections as well.

How to Create Money Making Blogs

By Cory Threlfall

There are plenty of money making ventures around these days, especially when it comes to the Internet. One method of making good money online is via blogs. Some blogs are created simply to get information out to the general public with no strings attached whereas other blogs are created more as a money making venture. The following will highlight some ways to create money making blogs and be well on your way to garnering an income through this lucrative job opportunity.

Search for Popular Topics on Which to Base the Blog Around

One of the best ways to ensure that your blog is a money making blog is to choose a topic which people are interested in reading about. Since most money making blogs are made so by the number of individuals who visit the site, it is important to pick a subject which individuals are interested in and which will drive them towards your particular blog. Some ways to figure out what topics are popular at the moment include searching for the answers online through popular search results, inquiring with others as to what they like to read about on blogs and reviewing some of the more popular blogs online.

Use Affiliate Programs

There are quite a few different ways to make money via your blogs however affiliate programs provide one of the main ways to do so. Affiliate programs consist of an arrangement between the blog owner and outside companies. The outside company will post a link to their company on your blog and you will get a certain payment amount every time an individual buys something from the outside company from using the link to get there. The rate of return will vary depending on the company, percentage of sale amount and item purchased, however, this is a great way to create money making blogs which does not take a lot of work on your part.

Pay Per Click Programs

Pay per click programs provide another way for bloggers to turn their blogs into money making blogs. Pay per click programs consist of companies posting their advertisements on your blog and you will get paid a certain amount every time the blog visitor clicks on the ad. Pay per click programs as with affiliate programs provide a wonderful way for bloggers to do very little and get paid simply by having their blog up and running.

Constantly Update Your Blog Content

In order for the two aforementioned programs to work and turn your everyday blogs into money making blogs, you have to keep your blog content constantly updated. The beauty of blogs is that the blog owners post new information for the masses to read. If a regular reader of your blog visits it and finds that the news is stale, they will move on to other blogs and may never return. This may turn what was once a money making blog into a stagnant one.

Use Keywords in Your Blog Content

You should also be sure to use a requisite amount of keywords in your blog content. Doing so will ensure that you get regular website traffic by individuals who are interested in the information you have posted. This in turn may lead them to click on the ads and purchase items from affiliate program partners. The keyword density which you use on your blog will depend on which search engine programs you hope to draw your visitors from but this can easily be found out simply by visiting the websites of the search engine companies and reviewing their guidelines.

Business Blogging - Organizing Your Blog to Maximize Benefits to Your Readers and Online Business

By Connie Ragen Green

Organizing your blog and your blog posts will make a difference in how well you are perceived on the internet. By simply taking the time to plan, you can have a blog that represents you well and provides valuable and interesting content to your readers. Business blogging is serious business, so see it as an opportunity to present yourself and your topic in the best possible way. Here are some things to think about, whether you have been blogging for several years or are new to the blogosphere.

· Think about the overall design of your blog when you are choosing the colors, graphics, and layout. Will it appeal to your target audience. People make decisions subconsciously when they arrive at your blog.

· Categories - Choose the categories that you will write about very carefully. These words and phrases are keywords that will help your readers to find your blog when they are searching on the internet. Having the right categories will also make it easier for people to find the information they are looking for when they visit your site. They can simply click on the category name and read all of the posts you have made under that category.

· Sidebar column - You will want to have two columns on your blog. The left column will contain all of your blog posts and the right column will be your sidebar. This is where you can add links to other sites, your categories will be listed, and your opt-in box will be in the upper right-hand corner of the sidebar. This configuration is best for search engine optimization and will make it easier to build your list by collecting the names and email addresses of your visitors.

· Opt-in box - Be sure to offer a free report, eBook, or audio file in exchange for the person's contact information. This can be just a few pages long if it is in writing, or thirty minutes or less if it is an audio recording. This will also give you an additional opportunity to tell your new prospect more about yourself and what you do.

· Picture - Include a picture of yourself so that people can begin to connect with you immediately when they reach your blog.

· Title - Choose a title for your blog that tells people exactly what your blog is about. You will also want to have a tag line that includes your name, as well as a benefit your blog will provide to your readers.

· Domain name - This name can be the same as your title, but it does not have to be. Choose a domain name that contains at least one of your keywords, is not too long, easy to spell, and easy to remember. This is not as easy as it sounds because so many domain names have already been taken. Your first choice should also be a dot com domain name, because people are so used to using that extension.

· Social media - Becoming active in sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites will make it much easier for you to attract readers to your blog. Spend your time on these sites wisely or will find that they take up a disproportionate number of hours each day.

· Posting schedule - Make a schedule to post to your blog, and then stick with it. You may want to have one day to do book reviews and another to answer your reader's questions. Post as often as you possibly can to make your blog content rich.

Using these ideas as a guide will help you to establish yourself online as a blogger of influence. Get started today and enjoy the benefits of building your online business through blogging.

And now I invite you to join me for free weekly teleseminars that will teach you how to blog, write, market, and sell your articles and ebooks to increase your visibility, credibility and passive income by visiting http://www.EbookWritingandMarketingSecrets.com and also learn the technology needed to run an online business.

You can also write product reviews and book reviews. This will help your readers make an educated decision when purchasing things. It would also be helpful if whatever you are reviewing also had an affiliate program. This way you can link to your affiliate link and make some money when the product is purchased.

It is also a good idea to post reprint articles in your blog. The day will come when you can't think of a single thing to write about. That's when you go to a site such as EzineArticles.com and get an article related to the topic that you blog about. Of course you will have to link to another website, but that's better than having a blank blog.

Finally, if you're up to it, you can host a blog carnival on your blog. Now I already know what you're thinking, what the heck is a blog carnival? I'm glad you asked. Basically a blog carnival happens when a blogger posts a lot of blog posts by other bloggers related to a central theme.

I hope these ideas get are enough to get your brain going. Now what are you waiting for? Get out there and start blogging! Your website will thank you for it.

Why Your Blog Readers Need a Better Blog Reading Experience?

By Mayank K Gupta

According to Technorati there are millions of blogs out there and everyday thousands of blog are started and still few blogs stand out because of the following reasons -

  • The content
  • The blog design

What makes a blog - a successful blog? The success of a blog is directly related to quality of content, if the blog posts are not worth spending time, readers will surely leave the blog and wouldn't like to come back because it's the content that actually helps in building the blog.

So what's the benefit of a unique blog design?

A good and unique blog design compliments the blog content. A good blog design always helps in leaving the impression on the reader as a good blog post backed by good design will always leave a mark in readers brain.

What makes a good blog design?

There are many parameters on which a blog design can be evaluated however these are some of the main points on which a blog design is majorly reviewed -

  1. Typography - As a blog's success is directly related to the content, so the content should be easier to read and it's important that the text should have good fonts and that it should be clearly visible with good and appropriate text size.
  2. Unique Design - A unique design will always leave a mark on reader that you are serious about your blogging and that you will not abandon the blog just like that and will continue to blog for a longer duration and will share your wealth of knowledge with them for years to come.
  3. Page Load Time - Internet readers have very less patience and if they have to wait for a blog page to load up because all the beautiful images were taking the time to load, then it won't make them happy. A good blog design will always load faster.
  4. Navigation - It's important to ensure that each reader gets to read all the good content you've written and that they should be able to reach it, within couple of clicks and not more than that. So, it's important that extra care should be taken about the navigation of the blog.

Are there any success stories? Yes there are many success stories and few people have blogged about it too. John Chow (one of the most renowned blogger in make money online blog category) experienced great results once he got his blog redesigned.

Apart from that if you look at Darren Rowse's blog, you'll notice that his blog design serves the purpose for him where he displays his posts in such a neat fashion that it helps beginners, intermediate and advanced bloggers. I'm sure all this was not possible without a unique design.

I hope that this post will convince you to get your blog redesigned and of-course if at all you are serious about your blog , you'll think of getting it redesigned.

How to Keep Your Web Blog Content Going

By Pamela Lawson

Consistency is one of the biggest solutions to keeping your readers from coming in, reading a couple of lines, and then running off...worse, AND never coming back again. Many people have been asked the same question about this...how does one keep people coming back to their websites or blogs. Consistent posting of web blog content is the key.

Consistency in topic content and also consistency in regularly posting in your blog.

But consistency is difficult if you don't have a regular web blog content writer backing you up because everyone's got their thing to do and if the job of updating the blog readers with fresh web blog content is not given to someone, then the irregularity of your posting could result in irregular visits from your blog visitors as well.

Keep the topic going

While it's good that we explore things outside of our main topic once in a while, I was awakened by a post by a renowned blogger and writer about being regular and keeping to your own expertise. To a certain extent, I have to agree. The problem of how to come up with web blog content within the same topic regularly and finding ideas would crop up.

So, in my personal opinion, crawling out of the main web blog content topic CAN be done - but as little as possible, and when you do so, it is of utmost importance that you keep the web blog content topic as close to home as possible.

How many times should I post new web blog content in the blog?

It's hard to say. Some people keep to posting every day. Some people post once a week. Some a fortnight. But based on my experience as a web blog content provider, it is best if you keep the regularity of your web blog content posting to right about twice a week or three times if you can afford the time.

Otherwise, I don't think it cost a lot to hire a web blog content writer these days...what with the world's ailing economy. A lot of people are willing to be hired as a freelance contractual web blog content writer for as little as a couple of hundreds a month just to keep your blog going.

If you asked me, this is a worthwhile investment since it frees up your time to do other important things - like getting your car repaired, reeling in the sales, monitoring the search engine ranking for your blog, etc instead of you, sitting there mulling over your web blog content.

This is, however, an issue that varies from one person to another. Just do it as often and for as much as you can afford to. In today's economy, busting a budget comes a close second to having hemorrhoids.

Web Lead Generation - Discover Two Powerful Blogging For Profit Strategies That Don't Require a Blog

By Donna Abreu

Web lead generation becomes simplified when you discover these two powerful blogging for profit strategies that don't require you to own your own blog.

Internet marketing is a numbers game. The more marketing material you put out on the internet, the more traffic and leads you will generate to your website.

First, I recommend you set up Google Alerts to be notified of activity on your primary keywords. Google Alerts can be sent to you instantaneously or in a daily or weekly synopsis.

Consider using the product or company names, product owner or management team names, benefits or solutions that the product offers, and problems that the product solves.

Use the Google Alerts to find top ranking blogs in your niche. Aside from your own blog (if you have one), these are the blogs you will want to use in your marketing efforts.

1. Guest Posts On Top Blogs

Find top blogs in your niche using the Google Alerts. Contact the blog owners and volunteer to provide guest posts. I recommend you call them, and then follow up with an email. You can find their phone number

Blog owners are always seeking fresh content. If your content adds value, and fits the niche of the blog, then volunteer to provide a guest post.

2. Leave Comments On Top Blogs

Use the Google Alerts to identify top ranking blogs and leave content on these blogs. Provide value added comments that help people solve their problems and answer their questions.

For maximum web lead generation, I recommend you be the first to comment on the new blog posts of these top ranking, high traffic blogs. If you are the first, or near close to it, you will have that many more views on your blog comments.

Two free tools that I use to receive alerts of new blog posts from my selected blogs, are Comment Kahuna and Comment Sniper.

Use these two powerful blogging strategies. You don't have to have your own blog to get started blogging for profit and for web lead generation.

Blogging - 6 Quick and Easy Ways to Repurpose Your Blog Posts

By Oisin Mcdonald

Here are a 6 ways you can repurpose your blog posts, some of which are instant with no extra work needed.

1 - Twitter tools - This is a great plugin for all of you that use a Wordpress blog. You simply install the plugin first, fill in your Twitter login details (you need a twitter first) and that's it. Now every time you post something new to your blog it automatically updates your Twitter account with a Tweet.

2 - Odiogo - This is also another great Wordpress plugin that I use on this blog. First you need to install the plugin and then open up an account with Odiogo. Odiogo then takes the last 10 blog posts from your RSS feed and turns them into audio. Your blog readers then can either listen, download an mp3 of the article or add it to their iTunes software.

3 - If you have any squidoo lens or similar sites (on the same topic as your blog) why not add your RSS feed to them. This way you blog posts travel out further than your blog and it helps keep those other sites up to date with fresh content which the search engines love.

4 - Like (tip 3) why not take the same RSS feed and sign up for an account at ShareAPost.com. ShareAPost is a site where you allow other blog users to use your content on their blogs. Although not all your blog posts may be used, there are times when you article can be found on other blogs which then send free traffic back to your blog.

5 - After a month if you've been posting everyday you should have around 30 posts. Why not take those posts and package the together into a small monthly report of content from your blog. You could give this away free to draw traffic to your blog and you could also put either affiliate products or details of your own products inside.

6 - If your blog is on one topic you will find that some blog posts are closely related to each other. Why not take some of your posts and offer them in an e-course as a way to help build your list and possibly make money recommending some products at the same time.

Bonus Tip - After you've used these 6 methods head straight over to http://www.ItWasSoEasy.com and give us a copy of it and we'll do our very best to get as much FREE traffic to your site as possible...its what we're here for!

Video Blogging - Say it and Show 'Em

By Mark A. Abrahams

Video blogging is sometimes called "vlogging" and has seen a huge increase in popularity since 2006. Blogging is a way of writing or providing written content for others to sign on and stay informed. Video blogging has the same theory, except it is based on videos rather than all written material. There are many articles or text type informational pieces included in some vlogging, but the majority is based on video information.

Possibilities are limitless and can really increase sales because most people are highly visible creatures. Instead of them having to take the time to read the information they are able to actually watch it. Some web owners make sure that they have videos that are interesting, colorful and even comical. This keeps the viewers attention and also provides them valuable information. Think of video blogging as almost an attempted commercial. It is certainly not portrayed as a sales pitch, but that is exactly what they can target.

With all the technology such as cell phones, video cameras and other recording devices it is easy to develop video marketing. There are many software packages that can help site owners prepare and piece together their own video to make it look professional and customize it to the needs of the company. It takes a great deal of creativity to think of the types of video blogging that will provide a successful campaign, but it is possible. This form of marketing can provide efficient advertising without a great deal of financial backing, giving the owner a good bang for their buck.

Secret Success of Blogging

By Mark A. Abrahams

Blogging has its own little secrets as some website owners and marketers have found. These are not dirty little secrets and in fact they are excellent ways of marketing and can add content to a site, therefore drawing a wealth of clientele. Blogging is not hard and in fact most people that use blogging are not professionals, they are merely individuals that have learned some valuable marketing techniques. Adding a blog to any website can help build a relationship with the site itself, product it sells and the customer at the same time. Really a good way to kill two birds with one stone.

A good blog should be a good mixture of personal information, current events and other miscellaneous tidbits. It is important to have other pieces of information or content that is different from the products or services that a business sells. Other wise the blog becomes dull and down right boring. People tune into blogs, radio stations and television programs where they can either learn something or enjoy themselves. If they are bored or reading the same thing over and over they will look for another blog, therefore leading to a sites loss of visitors.

Blogs are much easier to create than websites. The templates generally make the design a quick one, the user must simply decide on the colors and general outlay of the blog. This is not like designing or making decisions for the entire site so it can be a very quick process. The next step is to begin adding content to the blog, remember, interesting, to keep the readers coming back!

Blogging For Fresh Content

By Mark A. Abrahams

With the ever changing world, current events and other information companies can use blogging as a marketing tool. Web surfers visit sites that provide them with current information. Fresh content can be easily used to update visitors and the site in general. However, events should be used or written in such a way that the goal of the site is an underlying theme. The blog itself can provide a medium of posting articles, information and other marketing tools to help draw customers.

Keeping the content current with news or other events definitely draws traffic. Updating the information on a consistent basis also helps keep the blog up to date. Though popular events or topics will draw people it is also important to keep a focus for the site. Visitors looking for a product or service may appreciate content relevant, but will have little use for irrelevant topics. In fact having too much information on a blog can cause a reader to become discouraged or feel over loaded after reading it. When professionals talk about content they do mean fresh and updated, but make sure that it has something to do with the site, product or service that is being offered. For example, a person looking to purchase medicine would not want to be bothered by the latest fashion tip.

Article posting on a blog is a good way to keep up with the ever changing minds of the readers. This provides them something new to read and can detail great information about the business or what they do. By giving the reader information they feel that they have a vested interest in the company and are more likely to remain loyal over time.
