Here is a Method That is Helping Direct Sales Consultants to Boost Their Business

By Tracey A Edwards

If you are in the direct selling or party plan industry then your number one priority is to find new customers. Since there is only so many people that you can physically see at the one time you need to find a way to leverage your marketing so that many people at once see your message.

One of the best ways to do this is by starting a blog.

Blogging has become the number one choice for businesses to market their products and services because:

1. They are simple to set up

2. They are free (unless you choose to host on your own server)

3. They rank well in search engines, and

4. People love reading them.

You can use this to your advantage by starting a blog. There are many free blogging services that rank very well in the search engines and by far the two most popular would have to be Blogger.com and WordPress.org.

Blogger is probably the simpler one to start with if you have never blogged before because it really is a case of point and click to get started writing within five minutes.

Providing quality content on your blog is how most people will find you, especially if you offer solutions to everyday problems.

Internet users are always looking for help to solve their problems and find more information about something, so if you can provide that to them, then you have a receptive audience.

Once you have their attention, it is then just a matter of recommending your direct sales or party plan products as a solution.

Obviously you can't be too direct with promoting your products on your blog, otherwise you will be seen as just another person trying to sell something. That is why you should always remember to offer solutions and advice first then you can recommend your products on the back end.

Party Marketing Success will show you how to set up your blog to get loads of traffic, make money and explode your business. Make sure you sign up for the free e-course on how to use the internet to promote your business effectively.

Make Money Blogging - 3 Insider Tips to Explode Your Profits

By Samuel King

I was reading one of my favorite blogs recently and the lead story was about the ultra popular blog perezhiltion.com and how it charges a whopping $58,000 a day ( that's right, a day ) to advertise on it's front page.

If anyone needed any proof that you can make serious money blogging then this is it. If you take a look at the blog you'll see that it's nothing more than an online celebrity gossip mag, seen through the unique personality of it's owner. Not everyone's cup of tea but proof that money can be made blogging about virtually any subject, the web is a big place.

So with this in mind I decide to present the 3 top ways you can make money with your blog..

1) Google AdSense - This is by far the most popular way to make cash with your blog. Basically you sign up to Google AdSense and get a piece of code. You then copy and paste that code onto your blog ( don't worry it's extremely easy ). Then Google ads relating to your niche or blog topic will appear on your page, and when somebody clicks on an ad you get paid. There's almost a science built up around ad placement, ad color schemes, ad fonts, all of which combined will get you more clicks and therefore more money. Michael Cheney offers an excellent video based course on how to maximize your AdSense income.

2) Direct Banner Advertising - This method is another extremely easy way to make money. All you do here is display an image on your blog, either in the header section or down the side along side your text. Advertisers will pay you when the ad is shown. Usually every thousand views they pay a set amount. The downside to this method is you need a decent amount of visitors to make money. This can be easily achieved using advanced web promotion techniques.

3) Affiliate Marketing - This is probably the most lucrative way to make money blogging and consists of promoting other peoples products through your blog. I can be a simple recommendation, a review or a "how to". Basically you sign up as an affiliate for a particular product, then promote that product whatever way you can through your blog. When someone buys that product from your link you get paid. That's the simple explanation, if you are looking for advanced affiliate techniques for blogging I can help you out.

The awesome thing about blogging is the fact that it's practically free to do, a tiny payment of $6 or so to setup your domain name and that's it. You can download professional looking Wordpress themes for free, all the programming is done for you. How much money you make is then entirely up to you.

To make a real success of blogging there is a proven blueprint you can follow. Like any other venture, if you start out on the right path at the beginning it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

Making money online doesn't have to be difficult, in fact it's quite easy if you follow a system that works. The real pleasure for me is the lifestyle it offers and the time I can spend at home with my family. At Affiliate Prosperity we present proven money making systems that are guaranteed to work. Laws For Blog

By Pauline Go

Blogging has become one of the most popular ways of communication. Even though blogs have become a significant aspect of the modern-day communal and commercial routine, but it also has its shares of pitfalls associated with it. Attorneys strongly recommend that corporations should strictly think about the legal matters connected with them. Blogs have elevated countless demanding concerns and are subject to copyright contravention, denouncement cases and confidentiality matters.

Nonetheless, there are no particular set of laws for blogging. But slowly this practice is changing and courts will soon give preference to bloggers and new rules may come into existence. Till the law gets in place, bloggers must comprehend that they are possibly accountable for any counterfeit and offensive language they employ online.

To evade further problems, companies should have their own set of rules and regulations for company blogs in place and should also educate their company employees regarding these laws.

Apart from text and music, a blog also includes sensitive matters such as images, hyperlinks, and video, hence the blog owner should be cognizant of the rational possessions rules valid for blogs.

Usually, it's the writers who hold the copyright of the content but in some cases writers work for a particular company, and in that case the company may hold the right of copyrighting the content. In case if the contravening content is posted on a company blog which is handled by its employee then both, the company and the employee will be held legally responsible.

A blog should never consider any classified matters or communal revelation of receptive data which may create problem either for the company or for the employee.

How to Use Long Tail Keywords in a Blog to Grab Tons of Traffic For Your Website

By Dennis Francis

If you've wanted to get more traffic but get bogged down. This technique is beginning to take hold among the SEO folks but is still not popular yet. The main reason is that new searches happen all the time. Google has said that 20-25% of searches haven't ever been seen before. They are saying that you can't sit on the standard keywords and hope to beat your competitors. You must continue to research the field.

If you don't have a blog for your website yet, you need to get one now. Make sure that the blog is connected to the server that contains your website. The reason why you want to do that is because you want to have the search engines to make the connection between your content and the regular updates on your blog.

Using Long Tail Keywords in your blog

Long tail keywords are search terms that people use when using search engines. Instead of looking up the word "tigers" in a search engine, you would enter "Bengal Tigers in India." Your search will be more specific and turn up more Bengal tigers and less of the other kinds. That is the power of long tail keywords. That also makes it more likely that the persons doing the search will be more inclined to know what they want and be more interested in specific niche information.

Start figuring out what long tail keywords people are using right now to find your site. Use Google Analytics to find long tail keywords that match your category and market.

Use keyword search tools (like ours) to find keywords that are 3-6 words in length.

You want to use the long tail keywords in your headlines and the body of your blog to bring people who search for your topic to your blog. Search engines love blogs. They actually prefer blogs to websites because the blogs get updates far more often than websites. Once you begin to use long tail keywords in your blogs and begin to collect keywords, you'll also use these long tail keywords in anchor text throughout your blog.

I suggest adding content to your blog daily but use no less than 250 words. You really can't say what you need to about a subject and include your long tail keywords in a natural way with less that. It is like article writing and should be more like 350 words. I make sure you have the long tail keyword peppered throughout the article. Include it in there 3 or so times, as well as in the title and header (h1) tag. Include the keywords that make up the keyword phrase as well; for instance, "White Bengal Tigers". Use the individual keywords in your post.

Add links to your website in your posts as well. This will create back links for SEO purposes. After getting content for your site with your "new" list of long tail keywords, you need to stay on top of your game by constantly adding fresh, new, unique content.

Constantly research your keyword list for new ones. Use Google or other research site for more keywords. When you are ready to write, start by looking up keywords first.

Creating the Unique Blog - Consider Photobucket

By Thomas Garrison

The blogging phenomenon continues to grow after it was initially introduced more than ten years ago. This online craze now includes the popular photography site Photobucket with their ever growing Photobucket Blog. The concept is a simple one - you can create a blog that is embedded with your favorite pictures. In addition, this site may contain pictures from your family vacation, a social gathering, formal functions, and can even include your marketing ventures.

While some may be quick to dismiss the possibility of using such a site for an online business presence, it can, in fact, bring a whole new set of specifically targeted customers to your web site. There is no need to resemble a "blogger tech geek" when using this personalized service and it's target rich features. Combined with your seasoned marketing skills, it affords the internet business owner to take a much more relaxed focus to acquiring a new set of customers.

Countless thousands use the site's photography services each day and their online community continues to grow and expand. Too, you can take the opportunity to post responses at various member blogs and provide backlinks to your web site. While other web site owners are concentrating on the well-known sites (and these services should be used too, of course), you can be one of the few who should summon this marketing power in order to propel your business to new heights.

Now you can see how this popular photography site can reach an entirely new audience and clientèle. Another advantage of using this service for your online business comes from knowing that you can attract a targeted audience of potential customers. For example, if your web site is dedicated to digital cameras, then your likelihood to attract members of Photobucket is certainly increased as compared to using a more traditional service like WordPress.

Having a unique internet presence with little to no competition benefits your web site and it is a sound business principle, but having an atypical blog design solution can only increase your ability to attract a growing customer base. By employing this method to your marketing schemes, your online business will continue to expand and prosper as you seek to gain new growth each day.

Monetizing Your Blog Part 2 - Visitors to Your Blog

By Simon Hemmings

I published Part 1 regarding Blog content and how to retain the visitors.

Today we look at Visitors who are the life of our blogs without them we would rant to ourselves

Visitors.

Put simply without visitors, traffic or hits to blogs, in most cases is a waste of time.

All the gurus online give us all sorts of suggestions as to the best way to gain traffic (visitors) from picking the right blog URL, to submitting our blog details to different directories.

As mentioned in my first blog, to get traffic can be summed up as " Become Known"

However, getting there takes time and we have to measure our readers and tracks where they come from, for this I can break into two reasons:

(i) So that you can tell if your readers are actually growing. If it's not, then something has to be done to correct this and

(ii) Once you know where your referrals are coming from you can play to your strengths.

How Do You get Visitors?

Here are a few suggestions:

Leave Comments.

Visit other blogs of a similar interest to your own and leave comments relative to what has been written in their post. Please don't spam, be polite and most bloggers will do you the courtesy of a return visit.

Exchange Links.

Some bloggers may be willing to exchange links with you. Don't always expect a long established, high traffic blog to necessarily exchange links as they probably won't. It'll most probably be like for like at first. Begin with others of similar level and work your way up.

Forums.

Get involved with a few forums. I've often write posts in DreamTeamMoney. In DTM I have my own thread under Yeepage.com, newbies may not get this approved early in your blogging life but when established you can look into it. If you respect the rules and use forums correctly they work in your favor for your blog.

Keywords.

It's important to think about keywords when you are writing your blog posts. These should be included in the title and the body of the post where possible but without over doing it Keywords will in part bring referrals to your blog from search engines.

Search engines bring some of the best traffic to a site as the keywords are used. Getting them to do this is what SEO or Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is what is needed to get them to your site.

As far as I am concerned there are two main aspects to this.

(i) Keywords and

(ii) Getting good links to your blog.

It topic is be to big to write about, but for basic blogger this is adequate.

Blog Directories

Blog Directories generally do not get huge amounts of traffic but generally these are quality readers which are better. However there is another side to these directories. They provide links to your blog and, and as mentioned above links are important to SEO. Therefore it's worth submitting your blog to some directories.

By adding a vote button to the bottom of your posts you can increase your ranking within. Vote buttons and a few blog directories can be viewed below and bottom left respectively.

Technorati

I've given this a separate heading because it does produce visitors in various ways. I suggest that, if you haven't already done so, you join Technorati and claim your blog(s). It is all self explanatory once you register.

Blog Carnivals

'A Blog Carnival is a type of blog event. It is similar to a magazine, in that it is dedicated to a particular topic, and is published on a regular schedule, often weekly or monthly. Each edition of a blog carnival is in the form of a blog article that links to other blog articles on the particular topic.'

You can submit your posts, or articles, to Blog Carnivals (which are on other blogs). If accepted there will then be a link to your post (or article), which may then send referrals to your blog.

You can also host Blog Carnivals on your own blog. This generates interest and often an increase in traffic when they are published.

You can find more information, and an index of Blog Carnivals to which you could submit posts, at Blog Carnival. Or go who has regular Carnivals.

Not tried this yet, but I may publish this article in Leo's next Carnival.

Socialise.

You can do this by joining websites such as MyBlogLog, myLot and a myriad of others. Find one that suits you and use the facilities they have to get known. Contact other members, leave them worthwhile comments on their blogs, join their communities and generally be nice to people - just as you would at any social gathering in the real world.

Link Baiting.

Often mentioned by long standing bloggers. It simply means writing a post, or providing some sort of information, that will make other blogs want to link to this. In other words, other bloggers will mention your post or information on their blogs and will link to it. This will (a) send you visitors and (b) give you another link to your blog. This is important, and also good for PageRank.

Link in your posts to other persons blogs.

This may sound a odd way to attract more visitors. Basically you are adding a Link to other bloggers within your post.

Now you might think that linking to other blogs will only be good for the other blogger you are linking to. However, by giving a little you often get traffic in return. Try it!

There are many more ways to attract traffic but I noticed I finished at ten, Mmmm maybe I should of called it "TEN Ways to get Visitors" If you have any other ideas please add them as comments to the bottom of this post.

If you can do the simple things mentioned in Part 1 and on Part 2

Summary of Part 1 and 2

Post content of value > Attract visitors > Keep visitors on your blog > Make them want to return.

If you can do this then you can start to look at making money online - which I'll cover in Part 3 later in the week.

Backing Up Your Blog

By Simon Hemmings

All you people reading my blog back up your computer files? I believe most people do. So now how many other Bloggers backup there blog? Be honest, until recently I had never too. I have read peoples horrifying stories of how they lost their blog and looking for help to retrieve.

Could you image if you been blogging for 2 years and posted 500 posts and it is gone? Everybody's posts are different and unique so we need to backup our posts to ensure we don't lose our data if the web server crashes. I have found this free web service called BlogBackupOnline which I would like to call our insurance policy for our blog.

BlogBackupOnline is a application that will back up your blog including jpeg, gif files etc. Signup Is simple and after your registration they will maintain your blog with daily backups so there's no worries on your side in future

Getting Started

Simple form to be filled out and an email will be sent to your email to verify your status

Full Backup

After completing the registration of your blog you are ready to do your first full backup which is important but is a manual request by yourself, times for this process will vary and will depend on quantity of posts and may take up to 2 hours for the first time.

Daily Backups

After the first Full Back up, BlogBackupOnline will do the rest. Daily backups will continue and are automated and will save any amendments or new posts/comments, so you will be ensured at worst case losing only one days data.

Restoring Blogs

After you have full backed up your blog it can be restored to the same blog location or you can even send it too another blog platform, Current max storage is 50Mb and from what I see most blogs should be with this limit. My total backup for my site is around 1MB and I have around 150 posts , so you can see the storage is very big.

Now that my sites backed up I don't need to worry and can sleep easy at night, Can You? Not often you can get free insurance but using this free web application there's nothing to lose.

Blog Header Designs - Why You Need Them and How to Get Them

By Nadeesha Cabral

Imagine you get a free one-year subscription for Newsletter A or Newsletter B; of either you should choose. The choice is yours. You can't pick both of them. You have no prior experience with either and you have no way to decide other than looking at the cover page. The thing is one Newsletter has a kick-ass logo design and the other one is just simple!

And just by looking at it, you'll probably choose the one with the good design, right? Now what if we can apply the same thing to a blog? Just think you have good content and a good blog design. But you need to say out loud 'I am a professional!' to the average site visitor, am I right? Why not do it with a professional blog header design? I mean, that's the first thing that a visitor sees in the blog. And probably the first impression of the visitor would be based on your blog header right?

In my blog ROCKFUSE, people had been telling me that the success can be largely attributed to my blog header. Which I believe is quite true. I tend to go out of my way to get some designs done so as a result, my blog has the potential to stand out from the rest.

It's psychological. When people see premium blog designs or professional blog headers, they automatically brand your blog, 'great blog!'. (Yes, with an exclamation mark!) Much like you wanted that subscription of the Newsletter with the kick-ass design.

And if you blog header does the talking about professionalism for you, then, you score!

Of course! If you don't have any design experience at all, and if you're not willing to spend and get it done, probably you should ignore it. But if you do, then why not make use of that and have a good blog header, and maybe a good logo design? It can probably drive a visitor's gut feeling into subscribing to your blog.

On the other hand, people like Steve Pavlina had been highly successful with just a simple mention of their domain name in the blog header. But I think that he could have enjoyed more from his blog if he considered having a cool blog header design.

Having a blog header designed by yourself is not that hard. Actually, with an application such as Adobe Photoshop, you can whoop up a quality header. But there are always alternatives. If you lack such designing skills, you can check out free blog header collections like this and build on it. It's always easy when someone does the hard work for you right?

How to Make Money Through Blogging

By Maxim Dennis Doria

Here's a tip, content, content and more content! Find a subject that you love so much about or find a niche even if you don't know anything about it. The net is a wealth of information, just research anything about that niche and write informative things about it. Make sure you posts in your blog subject 2 or 3 times a week at least. If you don't know anything about writing, you can buy PLR on your subject matter and you can copy and paste it to your blog or spin the words to make sure that your content is unique and original. Search engines love blogs because search engines like to find new and quality content. The key to success in blogging is to update and post quality content regularly. And don't forget to moneytize your blog by putting ads like for example AdSense. Note: This is not easy money, you have to work on it. But the the fruits of your labor is well worth it in the end.

Quick and easy steps:

  1. Find a subject matter or a niche.

  2. Create an account on blogger or wordpress or any blogging platform.

  3. Create an account in adsense or bidvertiser or any ad formats you can find and put the ad links in your blog to monetize it.

  4. Write quality and original content.

  5. If you haven't any clue about writing, buy PLR (Private Label Rights) articles about your subject and post it in your blogs. (IMPORTANT: Just make sure to re-write and spin the article to make it your original content. Be very careful about this or big brother google will ban you in their listing.)

  6. Update your blog regularly.

  7. Blog linking or networking to make your blog popular to search engines.

  8. Submitting your blog to blogging directories.

Mike Stewart is currently the Video Blogging Guru of Choice...

And of course, I have been creating products and teaching it for almost 5 years now!

WHY?

Because it works!

It's the absolute Easiest, Quickest, and most effective way to start an internet business that I know of. And one that can start making money in a few days or less!

A blog is nothing but an interactive website, targeted towards a specific niche.

But the beauty is that they are SOOOO easy to put together and maintain. And with a little SEO magic, they can get noticed in a matter of hours and start receiving traffic almost right away.

And as ANY marketer knows, whether your business is online or off, it's "TRAFFIC" that makes or breaks you!

Once you have traffic, you just have to decide HOW you want to monetize it. And there are MANY ways of doing that.

The real trick is to tightly target a narrow niche, so that your traffic is as interested in what you have to show them as possible. And so that the search engines know EXACTLY which "Surfers" match the content of your site.

And depending on the niche you chose, you can then decide how to make money form that traffic pretty easily.

Blogs are about information. They are, in it's purest form, what the Internet is all about.

A place where people interested in a particular subject can congregate to learn and share ideas about their passions or interests.

If you have a blog on how to deal with Stress for instance, it would probably be wise to populate that blog with great articles on how to deal with the many types and causes of stress. Write (or have written) short articles that you can post regularly to your blog such as ...

What causes stress...

What are the physical side effects of stress...

How stress can actually kill you...

How you can deal with certain types of stress..

How exercise can alleviate stress...

And any of the THOUSANDS of other topics related to Stress!

If your content is interesting, on target and original, you will gain a Search Engine Reputation as the "Go To" Place for stress related surfing. And they will send you all the traffic you need.

Then you can monetize it by selling Books, recommending courses, publishing PPA ads for stress related services, or even PPC contextual ads like Adsense or YPN.

You can do questionnaires amongst your readers to find out exactly what it is they would be willing to pay for, and then create it, or find someone to create it for you.

Then ... you simply take that product and ... SELL IT TO YOUR READERS!

How difficult can it be to sell something to a group that just told you they would be willing to pay for what you have?

There is an age old marketing truth that says ...

"If you want to get rich, find a group of people who desperately and passionately want something, and then provide them the means to get it!"

And with the interactive nature of blogging, you have the perfect vehicle to do just that.

NEVER Create a product and then look for someone to buy it!

Pick a group (preferably an affluent group who is willing and able to pay for whatever they want), engage them in the ongoing discussions, ask them what they want, then find it (or create it) and sell it to them!

MARKETING 101

And with Blogs it's ... MARKETING 101 ON STEROIDS!

Till next time,

Upgrading a Blog With Furnishings

By Ken Stevenson

Much like having a home with nice furnishings, a blogging site such as 360 Blog Yahoo can be enhanced with many "decorative" features that bring a flair and dynamic personality to the equation. Many bloggers have the usual site nuances such as textual entries, pictures, video clips, audio, and various features that attract a certain segment of the internet surfing audience. Online marketers have discovered that blogging can lure targeted visitors which could become paying customers. With this in mind, the web site owner will certainly add enticements to the online portfolio and use these items for marketing purposes. There are six furnishings that your blogging site can immediately utilize for attracting a targeted clientele.

First, consider placing polls within your blogging site on a periodic basis. Make it relevant to the featured topic of the blog and use the results of each poll as a gauge to determine what your targeted audience prefers. Interactive polls with a popular issue or subject can bring swarms of traffic to a blog and these targeted visitors could become paying customers.

Second, your blog design solution should contemplate the use of surveys. Like polls, you can use the results as a measuring device in order to determine the wants and needs of your visitors.

Another blogging business tip centers on contests. On occasion, your blog could offer a prize (cash or a physical product) as a marketing technique that is designed to draw even more traffic to your site. Be advised that contests are subject to all applicable laws on the local, state, and federal levels.

Online marketers obviously use blogs as a means to obtaining internet traffic for a web site that is devoted to selling products or a service. Your WordPress, 360 Blog Yahoo, or Blogger site can be used for various promotions and specials that will entice ready to purchase customers.

Banners and banner exchange programs are experiencing a resurgence in the online marketing community. Most bloggers are unaware of the potential that a banner program can bring to the online business, but the risk/reward ratio is slanted to the marketers and it's extremely cost effective.

The final furnishing that can enhance your blog is the usage of RSS feeds. For several years now, this tool has been used primarily for search engine optimization purposes and it also affords the web site owner to have news feeds that are connected to the blog's topic.

Each one of these unique furnishings can make your blog design solution a winner and can easily fit within most budgets.

Starting and Maintaining a Blog

By Ken Stevenson

As the online business industry grows and matures, marketers are continually seeking out new sources of internet traffic and the tools to succeed. Blogging was introduced to the web in the late 1990s and it has become a staple of the online marketing industry. Most web site owners now incorporate a blog design solution as a part of their business establishment and utilize it as a tool for obtaining targeted traffic. If you're new to blogging and/or new to online marketing, this avenue of generating visitors to your web site should be an essential element of your business plan.

Blogging is much easier than you may realize. The first step involves choosing a site to host your blog. WordPress, Blogger, and 360 Blog Yahoo are widely used by the marketing industry and each one is highly recommended in the blogging community. Blogs are simple to use and very easy to maintain. Daily updates generally require no more than a few sentences each day. However, blog topics can be rather lengthy if the occasion dictates a sizable and extensive entry. Make a habit of updating your blog on a daily basis and keep the topics interesting, entertaining, informative, and use some humor when the situation arises.

The physical appearance of your blog should be attractive, yet very neutral. Do not use gaudy colors or templates that make the text difficult to read. A light color for the background is recommended and the text should be darker in color. Additional features such as pictures, video clips, audio clips, and banners need to be strategically placed and easy to access. If your blog is going to include Google Adsense, be sure to follow Google's suggestions for placement and plan accordingly.

Be sure to allow for comments on your blog. This blogging business tip should not be ignored. Comments are made by visitors and visitors can become paying customers. As the blog gains in popularity, the opportunity to acquire more visitors and customers constantly increases.

As a new blogger, the aforementioned tips can enhance your blog design solution and it will allow for an increase in business and a growing customer base. As the blog grows and flourishes, so will your loyalty from enthusiastic customers.

In Search of Blogging Friends

By Ken Stevenson

More than ten years have passed since the first blog was introduced to the internet and a unique phenomenon was born. Blogs serve a multitude of purposes today and the vast majority of internet marketers are searching for the best blogging business tip that will increase their traffic flow. In order to gain more visitors to money making web sites, online owners have turned to various methods of marketing and usage of internet tools that will charm the masses. Blogs have gained a significant amount of traction amongst residents of the online business community and with enthusiasm due to the volumes of traffic which are produced. There are several tips that could increase the popularity of a blog and it involves a commitment from internet "friends".

In seeking the best blog design solution, online business owners need visitors on a grand scale for expected success. One such strategy is the use of a wildly popular niche related forum. Establishing a strong presence in such a setting and attracting members of the forum to the blog is tantamount to building a large customer base. Creating a rapport with forum members and forming friendships can make for a lasting business relationship too.

A blog does not have a multiplicity of visitors when it is initially created. It takes a certain period of time for web surfers to find their way to your site. Creating an impression that your blog is popular immediately after it is launched is achieved by responding to your own entries. By using a few "pen names", you can create the illusion of having a popular blogging site that attracts numerous responses. As a result, potential customers will be inclined to join the conversation.

As friendships in the blogging community are formed, it would be a wise choice to invite a "guest blogger" to add an entry to your site and vice-versa. This friendly tactic can lead to more traffic and additional backlinks for your online business. For example, the guest can post a relevant entry to your WordPress or Blogger site and you can do the same at their 360 Blog Yahoo establishment. By forging such a unique friendship, both businesses will grow exponentially.

Keeping visitors focused on your blog is a challenge that should be confronted with innovation and ideas that keep the interest levels at a peak. One such method could involve a lengthy entry that is divided into several parts over a certain number of days. The topic should be interesting and captivating to a point where the visiting audience is riveted and enthusiastically awaits each day that brings a new entry.

When choosing the best blogging business tip from among these examples, the web site owner should obviously focus on the visitors/customers and make every effort to meet their expectations. Blogs offer a much more personal touch to an internet business and this connection to customers affords an owner to have stronger bonds with the clientele.

Blogging With the Husband and Wife

By Ken Stevenson

Online marketing requires the business owner to focus energies on obtaining quality traffic for the web site and striving to increase this flow of customers on a constant basis. Blogs have become a popular tool for attracting potential customers and most internet marketers now employ a blog design solution. However, the general maintenance that is needed for a blog is time consuming and it often becomes discarded or ignored. Having a business partner, friend, or family member to help with this necessary element of internet marketing is highly recommended. Husband and wife teams are becoming a reality within the online business community and such a partnership is now recognized as an advantage for those who are able to make such a commitment.

Establishing a husband and wife marketing team creates obvious benefits such as sharing the volume of work that is needed for an online business. A blogging spouse is an added bonus too. Some marketers do not relish the thought of writing entries on a daily basis. Such is the case with Bill and Lois McCraken who have been running a successful online gift shop for several years. Lois does most of the writing and she says that such an arrangement works well for them. "I have always enjoyed writing, but Bill hates it. So I update the blog daily and do other writing assignments while Bill concentrates on the marketing, finances, and sales. We share other duties, but the writing falls to me". Lois McCraken is an example how the wife is using a strength while her husband focuses on other aspects of the business.

Tom and Karen Underwood opened an online store that is dedicated to electronics. Tom Underwood previously worked for a Fortune 100 company in a similar capacity and enjoys writing technical manuals and updating the daily blog. Tom describes his work as enjoyable and helpful to others. "Every day, I try to have a blogging business tip for these customers who share my love for electronics. It keeps the customers energized and they are loyal too. Karen works with the finances and software. We're a great team". Tom and Karen have obviously discovered the benefits of having a husband and wife team for business chores like blogging and company maintenance.

Having a blog design solution that is reasonable for any husband and wife team will have a positive impact on the family business. As online marketing continues to grow, the family unit can be involved in all aspects of the operation. This small business model can succeed with the proper planning and dedication.

Blogging in the Most Unusual Places

By Ken Stevenson

A recent MySpace blog survey examined the growth of blogging and how it affects users. Although the exact numbers have been kept hidden from public view, the popular social site indicated that trends moving from a youthful generation to a more mature audience was developing. The median age has increased ever so slightly for three consecutive years and as more individuals log on to the internet, social sites like MySpace and Facebook will continue to expand and evolve. Internet business owners and marketers should no longer ignore these generational shifts amongst the internet establishment. In fact, savvy web site owners have known of these trendy course of events for quite sometime now and have sought to exploit a marketing advantage over most, if not all of their direct competitors. Does your marketing plan include such a strategy?

Recently, the world's largest internet portal introduced the 360 Blog Yahoo. The rapidly growing personal communication site is similar to other social sites and it attracts a wide audience with a variety of interests. As Yahoo's services expand in the blogging service industry, web site owners will seek to claim a presence and establish a firm foundation within this service. Too, web site owners can reply to various like-minded themes and threads in order to advertise (at least indirectly) their online business and/or develop a vast number of backlinks. These search engine friendly tactics will bring more visitors to your site and the service is free - certainly an attractive option for any company with a budget of any size.

In 2006, on a web site devoted to religious studies, a new interactive section was created for church blogging, spiritual guidance, and social networking. The goal was to increase membership at the local church and provide a multiplicity of services to the community. Jody Blanton, an experienced internet marketer and church deacon who created the original site in 1997, described the changes and why they were needed. "The internet has grown to the point where we could no longer ignore what it could do for us. We're a small church, so we decided to create this interactive section and let it grow. Since last year, our membership has risen nearly thirty percent. We attribute these positive numbers to our site and the numerous responses to our entries in the blog. The same formula that I use to bring in customers was used to bring in new members. It worked to perfection and we will continue to use this approach - it works like a charm". The lesson here for any internet business owner is obvious.

Although the MySpace blog survey didn't provide specifics in their study, it can't be denied that blogging is a powerful tool for any online company. It should be a central part of any online strategy for attracting a larger customer base and it easily fits within any budget.

Attractive Enhancements For Your Blog

By Ken Stevenson

Deciding on a blog design solution and implementing it is certainly a sound business decision and should reward the online web site owner with a vast amount of traffic as well as paying customers. Creating a blog is simple, painless, and easy to maintain. Popular blogging sites like WordPress and Blogger offer personalized services, numerous template designs, friendly search engine rankings, and helpful tutorials. Taking advantage of these opportunistic offerings should be a component of any successful online business venture. However, there is more to a blog than simply setting it up, performing routine maintenance, and providing periodic entries. Potential customers and visitors need to have good reasons for visiting your blog and remain as regular loyalists. Several enhancements to a blog can entice and deliver more web surfers when used effectively.

One enhancement that should be seriously considered is the use of video clips. Written text is obviously important and it's the cornerstone of any blog, but adding the occasional video clip can only serve to magnify an online web site's existence. Stephanie Collen, an online business marketer for a major clothing firm, describes the changes when video was introduced to the retailer's site. "Our site was text driven with many pictures and it seemed to be working effectively. When we added video clips to the mix, the results were amazing. A thirty-seven percent increase in traffic and sales rose by twenty-one percent. Video clips are here to stay at our site". Video supplies and software can be found at many places on the internet.

Another blogging business tip involves the use of audio clips and should be another feature for your blog. Collen also suggests using audio as an enhancement for your blog. "When we added video to the site, audio clips were phased out. Many customers complained and the audio section was restored much to their delight. We quickly learned that sound bites sell and never go out of style. It will continue to be a part of our marketing". Adding a few audio clips at opportune spaces on your blog will increase traffic flow and yield new customers. Audio equipment, supplies, and software can also be found at many places on the internet.

If the aforementioned enhancements are too much for your budget at this time, consider using pictures as a tool for driving more visitors to your site. Visual enhancements can sell far better than text only and is appealing to virtually every visitor. Also, if you have a blogging site such as 360 Blog Yahoo, Blogger, or WordPress, you can insert custom-made graphics . Graphics and photo editing software can easily be found with an internet search. Be sure to use the tools that meet your standards.

A blog design solution that incorporates stunning enhancements will make every blogging experience a rewarding endeavor. By using video, audio, and graphical improvements, your online business blog will witness a surge in visitors and customers.

Alternatives in Blogging - A Blog Design Solution

By Ken Stevenson

When internet web site owners devise a blog design solution for their online marketing schemes, they often disregard a lesser known avenue for producing the kind of results that bring enthusiastic visitors. Blogging on places such as MySpace, Facebook, and Craigslist can provide a continuous stream of happy customers that you have specifically targeted. The most popular and well known blogging sites Wordpress and Blogger will obviously yield a vast number of potential customers, but the likelihood of them being as focused as the aforementioned clientele is not a forgone conclusion. Most statistical internet analyses indicates that blogging sections on MySpace, Facebook, and Craigslist contribute a much more qualitative base of visitors to a uniquely targeted web site.

Having a blog design solution that is practical and personable is certainly one part of the internet marketing arsenal for all web site owners. Indeed, any successful online business employs the use of a blog. Craigslist is one such place where a blog design solution actually works to direct designated individuals to your web site. Craigslist was created by a person (yes, his real name is Craig) who sought to provide a social gathering place on the internet for anyone who seeks to find like minded friends and acquaintances of various interests. By having at least one or more entries each day on your blog, Craigslist members who have an interest in your site will flock to your business in countless volumes. Blogging at similar sites like MySpace and Facebook offer similar advantages.

Another online blogging community that has been recently established is located at Photobucket and it's quickly becoming a popular destination for internet surfers. A photobucket blog is an exciting untapped resource for internet marketers who wish to position themselves in a niche that has little or no competition. Any successful blog design solution will endeavor to utilize strategies that are aimed at a particularized segment of customers, especially when there is limited or no direct competition. Photobucket offers this distinct advantage as web site owners constantly yearn for and seek out more visitors.

One additional benefit that these various blogging sites offer involves a monetary objective. Controlling the budget is always a consideration and blogging at these sites costs absolutely nothing.

Having a blog at Photobucket, Craigslist, MySpace, or Facebook will bring quality traffic to your site. Make this strategy a part of your web site blog design solution and reap the benefits of visitors who are searching for a site just like the one that you are providing.

Jason Dinner Blogging Guru and Newsletter Publisher Review

By Joshua Valentine

Jason dinner is someone who relishes any challenge and right now his challenge is to show everyone how to duplicate his incredible success story. Jason Dinner is a cool young marketer who is way into blogging. He lives in New York and found his way into the internet world about 3 years ago with a lot of determination and hard work. He does a good turn for the online community by also giving you the lowdown and dishing the dirt on many of the marketing ploys that are being found constantly on line. He recently took on paid surveys and he really blasted that with both guns . . . whatta guy. He will be willing to speak the truth if he sees actual products or companies which are honest and upfront and therefore when he tells you something is really good, there is a pretty good chance that this time you can take it to the bank and back. You can find out background about Jason on his site.

Jason Dinner has some very creative ways to grow his email listings and he collects more every day with very safe and approved opt in lists. Unlike with some programs that you may have signed up for in the past, his will not swamp you with thousands of unwanted and unnecessary mailings. His newsletters are always extremely informative and full of information on who to trust online and what are good marketing techniques that really work and which ones should be left by the wayside. He will freely tell you that you should always look to get your best information from those who know more than you , not those who know less.

Jason has made it his quest to try and alert the online marketing community to the best and safest ways to conduct advertising for your own sites; he also has many ideas that he himself has put together that deal with ways to create mailing lists that will not offend the clients. His ways of doing most of his marketing are very low key but they do get the results, slow and steady is often very preferable to some of the other methods that are being foisted on unknowing buyers.

The innovative approaches that you will notice from this internet wizard is that he does walk people though each approach and explains in everyday language why his approaches can offer you security and success. Too many times, other people will tell you things to do but they leave off a lot of information about why it should be done or they fail to make sure that you are aware of the many actual benefits that you will receive.

Jason has newsletters that he sends out to update his people on what the newest marketing techniques are that are either coming out or are on the horizon and he is right there to let you know his own experiences with using them or any other inside knowledge that he may have about them. As he is one of the younger guys out on the market front at this time, it is safe to say that he is at the cutting edge of all of the technology involved and is a good one to listen to when it comes to internet advice.

Blogging For More Sales

By Gavin Ingham

One activity which I am always recommending to clients, friends and everyone alike is to keep reading new, old and interesting ideas to keep yourself stimulated and on top of your game. My personal favourite subjects for reading about are personal development, sales training, sales force development, motivation and mindset, general business and marketing.

Nowadays I read a lot of blogs and am subscribed to several via RSS feeds. One blog which I read regularly recently posted two interesting posts on blogging as a sales tool and whether blogging can sell services or just products.

These are great questions and ones which every sales person, business owner and entrepreneur needs to consider and as with all great questions there are probably several answers but first a little "sermon" about blogs and blogging...

Many blog marketeers have an inherent interest in positioning blogs as the second coming, as the only marketing required in your mix, as all you need to succeed in selling your products, services, or indeed anything that you want to sell.

For most people and for most businesses this is, at best, misleading and, at worst, dishonest. Blogs are a great form of marketing but they are only one form of marketing. Even if your business is your blog you still need to understand how to market your blog in the same ways that you might market a normal website.

Blogs do not market themselves!

What's worse is that you can market a brochure style, static website and if you do it well people will visit and when they do they may well buy from you. When you market a blog site people will read your blogs first, before they buy anything. This means that you have to write well if want to make any sales. A good blog needs to be full of good content and people have to like what you have to say and the way that you say it.

And they still have to like, want or need your product or service enough to buy it or to make that call!

If your blog is not well written and people do not like it they will not buy anything off you even if they do come to your blog!

If you only market in the "blogosphere" and your target prospects and clients are in the "real world" you are not going to bring in shed loads of new customers. Many of my clients do not even know that my site is a blog, they just like reading it! They don't post comments, they email me and I respond!

Blogging also needs to be consistent. It is not a quick fix. Indeed it is probably one of the slowest routes to market and requires far more effort than many other instant fix marketing options (think Google adwords).

In my opinion, blogging also needs to be personal. Your content needs to be yours if you want to sell your services and you need to read and respond to your "community" on your blog. This is all very time consuming.

So why would anybody blog?

To demonstrate expertise... To share a passion... To promote long-lasting marketing content... To build a following... To set themselves a cut above everyone else...

But it's not easy.

Everyone and their dog seem to be setting up blogs these days. Blogging is highly competitive. Whatever your industry is there will already be good blogs with reader bases up and running. To get into the game you have to have a clear idea of your subject, a desire to write about it, valuable information that people can use, IT skills, marketing ability and a connection with your audience. Perhaps most importantly you need to be able to add value for your readers constantly walking the line between interesting and factual. This is the minimum that you need (or need to buy in) to even get you off the starting line...

But can a blog sell a service?

Well... After converting my website to a blog some 18 months ago I have blogged consistently and on theme. Traffic has grown, readership has grown, enquiries have grown and conversion ratios have upped.

But does my blog sell my services?

Partly.

Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't. I think most times my blog pre-sells people on the idea of working with me. They read my blogs and they know what I am about. They hear what I have to say and they like reading it. I guess that those who don't, never call.

But those who do are pre-sold to a certain extent. You still need to know how to sell. You still need to solve their pains with your solutions. You still need to position your solution effectively. You still need to do all of the other good stuff.

Blogging is not a magic pill that will change your marketing fortunes over night. You need to have the time and commitment to focus on it and make it part of your marketing mix at which point it will be a strong strategy for you.

Avoid Looking Like a WordPress Beginner Even If You Are

By Cindy King

Some starting WordPress hints. Change you login name to the name you want people to identify with the site. Don't use the default name 'admin' to post articles unless you really want to get into the admin niche. Seeing your name makes it more personal and professional.

Create a Category

WordPress has the default category called uncategorized. Having any articles uncategorized is bad SEO and similar to calling a Word document 'Untitled'. If it is called Untitled, it actually does have a title and if you put a post in the category uncategorized, well, it has been categorized. Hasn't it?

This setting can be changed in WordPress by going to Manage and selecting Categories

Make a Blogroll

People that come to your site will leave at one point or another. No one gets to one site and remains there for weeks on end. With a Blogroll you can at least point your visitors to places that you like, those sites may point visitors back to you.

This setting can be changed in WordPress by going to Blogroll and selecting Categories

Link to other sites

Visitors come to your site from somewhere, often through comments you leave on other blogs. You should not just make comments on blogs, but write articles on your blog about other blogs and people referencing people by name and by website. This post: http://compnyname.com/web-content-conference-in-french has links to 5 people and 3 other sites. This generates good will and encourages the people and target sites to link back to your site.

Then go to the blog you reference and in your signature link back to your post and not you home page. A link on a blog should end with ".com/?page_id=2" and not just a .com as most people do.

Customize Your Permalink Structure

Which of these two links tells you something about the topic of the post that is presented on the website?

http://compnyname.com/?page_id=2

http://compnyname.com/web-lingo-getting-on-foreign-search-engines/submitting-your-website-to-a-chinese-search-engine

Both may get you to your destination, but the top option - the default - does nothing to help a reader get an idea of your post. This setting can be changed in WordPress by going to Options and selecting Permalinks

Write all your own articles

Or at least you should write most of your own articles. This is not a plan to pull sales from any other site, just stating that readers can tell when the article is not original. If really necessary, when you have a real writes block and can't write one post you can use other articles for the base on an article that you build on. Don't copy them for your core.

Writers Block

When blogging a post you discover that you don't have a topic in mind - true writers block. Go to a blog related to your topic and give pointers that makes a 6 point how-to article.

Will you guess where the idea for this article came from?

Blog For Money

By Brent Cullen

There is a lot of talk about blogging these days on the internet and its' popularity is growing more everyday. If you are not familiar with blogging, it is defined as the publication of personal thoughts and opinions for other internet users to read freely. Many people have expectations of making a lot of money with their blog and this can be accomplished if you are willing to work hard and put the effort into it. Unfortunately, most people do not end up making much money off their blog and they get discouraged and disappointed.

One of the reasons why people do not make money on their blog is that they are in too much of a hurry. They expect to instantly draw a lot of traffic to their blog and make profit right away. When this does not happen, they lose interest in the desire to continue blogging. Another reason why they fail to make money blogging is that they do not have a well thought out plan to succeed. You need a good plan to be successful in any business venture and most importantly you need to stick to that plan.

You need to try to attract a good reader base in order to make money on your blog. The more readers that you can draw in, the more money that advertisers will pay you for their ads. The main key of having a successful blog is knowing how to market it.

Many people are so concerned with writing on their blog and keeping it updated that they fail to realize that unless they attract visitors to their blog, they are wasting their time. You can have the prettiest and neatest looking blog on the internet, but without visitors, what good is it?

There are no guarantees that you will be successful with your blog even if you are an excellent writer or marketer. It all takes time and you have to be willing to put your heart and soul into it and be persistent in order for it to pay off. Think positive and stay committed to your blog and hopefully you will make money in the long run.

Blogger's Paycheck Review - Is This Making Money With Blogs Guide a Scam?

By Bradley Selchow

Can you really start making with money with blogs with the Blogger's Paycheck guide? Blogging has always been a great method for businesses to get traffic to their websites and also for people to write about their personal lives, but many ordinary people are discovering that they can make good money with blogs too.

1. Blogger's Paycheck Review

But how is that possible? I started learning about blogging for money with an online guide that I read called Blogger's Paycheck by John Yeo, and is still the best resource I refer to even though I have also read through many other "make money with blogging" guides. That is because this guide is written in the most easy-to-follow fashion, broken down into easy to follow steps that are very suitable for beginners.

2. What I Learned Inside The Blogger's Paycheck Guide

I have learned the many aspects required to become a successful blogger who makes money consistently. The 2 main aspects that need to be right all the time are the content materials on the blog and the amount of traffic that the blog receives. The speed of blog creation is important too, and John Yeo provides a method that anyone can use to generate blogs at lightning fast speeds.

The most precious part of the guide is, in my opinion, where John discusses how to drive free traffic to your site. One of the big sources is from search engines, and the ranking strategies like back linking have been really powerful and instrumental for my online success today.

3. Is The Blogger's Paycheck Guide Worth Buying?

For anyone who wishes to earn an extra income from the internet with blogs, I would say that this guide is a resource that would be really useful. It has covered almost every aspect of blogging for profits from niche selection, blog creation to blog monetization.

Using Tags in Wordpress

By Blaine Glynn

When creating a post make sure you add tags to it. Tags help your site interweave the taxonomy feature, as well can help SEO performance and get you some higher ranks.

The tags can potentially be added in two places. Right under the box where you write the article there is a space for tags, also you can add them to your "all in one SEO" plugin, which if you don't have install you need to. It's on the wordpress main site called all-in-one-seo-pack.

What should I put for tags? you may ask, well you will want to use keywords that work best with your article, so if yours is about dog breeds, use: dog, poodle, bull dog.

A great tip on how to get keywords that will rank high and fast is to put a few of your search terms into the Google keyword analyzer and let it find synonyms for you. After this you may want to sort by advertiser competition (if you have contextual ads) or search volume (if your purely trying to drive traffic).

I have noticed gains on a few sites that this is employed it has seemed to boost organic traffic and help rankings overall.

This will also improve your overall tag pool which will help SEO in your site in general and drive better results from your contextual advertising.

Here is the quick example I have from this post:

The tags I used:

Top Money Making Blog Sites

By Antonio Seegars

Blogging is a wonderful hobby to have, not only can you express your views with blogs, but you can also make a healthy amount of money with blogs.

A lot of people believe that the only way they can make money from blogs is to promote or sell products. While that is easily the most profitable way to use blogs, for people that don't want to sell anything you can make money "selling" ad space.

By placing advertistments on your blog you can make money without having to sell anything to anybody. All you need to do is find a company that pays advertisers and become an affiliate.

With all of the blogs that there are on the internet, added in with the thousands of blogs that are created daily if you want to make any real money selling ad space you need to separate yourself from the "pack". You can do this by becoming a part of advertising networks.

Here is a list of advertising networks :

1. Adbrite: Offers a variety of advertising options to bloggers like text ads, banner ads, video ads, full page ads and also inline ads. You can decide on what type of ad is best suited for you blog.

2. Expoactive: This ad network offers you with a lot of freedom right from choosing specific ads you want to display on your site, to the visual appearance of the ads. You are paid per click.

3. crispads: With this ad network you can negotiate different prices for your ad space. So as your blog traffic increases you can demand more money in return.

4. Chitika: They also offer several advertising options to choose from. Some of their ad formats are - shoplincs, eminimalls, owna, linx etc.

If you don't want to promote affiliate products or sell your own products online you can try out some of the ad networks listed above to make you blog profitable.

How to Have a Blog That Makes Money

By Antonio Seegars

So you've taken the first step to making money online and created a blog to build up your online presence. I congratulate you on taking that first step, but creating your blog is the easy part. Even if you have a excellent product to sell or promote, just having a blog isn't going to make you any money. You need to let the world know about your blog if you want to bring in any profits.

Blog traffic is what makes blogs successful. No matter what your promoting or selling if you get enough traffic to your blog you will make money because somebody is always willing to buy something even if they don't necessarily need it. And since you should only be selling/promoting things that are useful to people you should have no problem getting people to purchase products from you.

Because search engines are currently in love with blogs. If you choose correct keywords for your items and submit a few articles to article directories such as Ezine Articles you can get a healthy amount of traffic to your blogs. I recommend submitting no less then 20-30 articles for your blog.

When you go looking for keywords make sure that you only pick good keywords for your products. If your keywords are good, search engines will rank your blog higher and you can get more organic traffic from search engine users.

There are a lot of ways that you can make money using blogs. You can promote affiliate products, sell your own products, or place ads on your blog that you get paid for every time somebody clicks on one. And remember, you can make money online without selling "how to make money online" products. There are a lot of categories that you can choose from. You can go to Clickbank and check out there product categories for ideas.

Once you get one blog up and running successfully you can start working on another one and began building a mini empire.
