Blogging Has Benefits, But Don't Overwhelm Your Loyal Readers

By Lance Winslow

Is it possible to blog too much? Well, if you only have one or two blogs it is possible. For instance, if you post more than once a day on a small business blog you may be overwhelming those folks who may only visit your blog once a week and if you only blog once a week you may be underwhelming those who visit your blog every day or twice a week.

If a blogger is part of a larger social network and blogs too much or is perceived outside the norm they might be called a Blog Hog or Serial Blogger. Whether or not there is such a thing, often social network type bloggers do have their little status quo non-spoken rules that they go by and when those are thought to be violated there are generally repercussions.

Turning off fellow bloggers is an unfortunate problem for new bloggers and that is not the only folks who will be turned off. It also upsets your faithful readers and dedicated subscribers as well. Now, some folks write a lot and are power bloggers, they write so much no one can keep up. Rather than trying to cram all that information into a single blog, it makes sense to have many blogs. This way no one is too awfully upset by the high pace of production or amount they have to read to keep up with that blog.

There is no doubt now that Blogging has its benefits, but you must remember not to overwhelm your Loyal Readers with too much of a good thing. I certainly hope you understand this critical point as you blog, as you should not let your blog run away. Keep it on a leash and have a great blogging day!

Buying Advertising For Your Blog

By Karn Patel

When you are looking to buy advertising for your blog you are looking for the advertisement that will get you the most bang for your buck. Most likely the best way to do this would be 2 things. The most general type of advertising for a website would be to buy a link on the side bar of some site under "our Friends" or "Sponsors" or even "Buddy Sites".

First things first, never buy a perm link (permanent link). They are usually just rips. Try to get a monthly link where you can pay for it all in just one month. That way you can keep up with the site that your link is placed in.

If you can try to get as much as info about the website as possible from the person looking to sell the link. If he can provide you with some stats on the site then that would help start you off.

Now, the next thing we will do is look at the exact place where he will place the link. You have to make sure that your link is getting placed in an area where it will be seen. It doesn't have to be in the middle of the page, but it shouldn't be at the very bottom either. You also might want to check out how many links he is actually planning to sell. That way you are not buying a link that will be placed next to 100 other links.

Later, you can start doing some research on the site. Start by looking over the sites content, it should be unique and well done. Then, you should start checking how it's doing in search engines. Check how many pages it has indexed and how many backlinks it has. Type this in the two search engines that really matter, Google and Yahoo.

* Site: http://sitegoeshere
* Link: http://sitegoeshere

The Site one is for checking how many pages were indexed by the engine & Link is for how many pages have linked to the page. If the site has not been indexed on the search engine then don't bother with them because they are most likely very new.

When you are looking at the links try checking out the site that's linking to it. See if anything positive or negative is written about it. Then apply that to it.

It might seem a bit of over kill but believe me when I say it is worth the time. Buying advertising from just anywhere is not the best idea.

How to Increase the Loyalty of Readers on Your Blog

By Jonathan Hook

Seems like almost everyone has a blog these days. A lot of profitable niches have developed, and it's no secret that blogging is big business. With so much competition in nearly every area, you have to pay attention and be proactive to ensure that you get your share of the market. Do you know how to increase reader loyalty on your blog? Can you develop a site that puts you ahead of the rest and gives people a reason to return?

Make Reading Your blog A Habit They Can't Shake

It may seem obvious, but the most important thing that you can do to endear yourself to your readers is to give them a steady supply of great, original content. That means plenty of entertainment and value packed into an easy to read format. Don't forget to make your words positive. Negativity turns people off and readers away. If you can perfect all that, you'll turn the blog reader into a junkie for your words. They won't be able to resist coming back for more.

Feed The Habit

Once you get those repeat returns, don't ignore them! Use your brilliant copy to encourage comments, and be sure that you respond. Answer any questions posed, and make a remark or two about notes left. Don't forget to thank anyone who takes the time and trouble to leave a few words. Make sure your loyal followers know that you appreciate them, and they'll respond in kind.

Get Them Addicted

Another way to give your readers warm, fuzzies about you and your blog is to link to them. Allow hyperlinking of their name, have a sidebar list of recent visitors with the hyperlinked name, or if appropriate, occasionally incorporate a reader's link into your copy, making sure that you do it in such a way that it makes sense, of course. Your popularity will skyrocket with readers who will feel like they're part of your "club". You'll have spotlighted them and made them feel important. That's like gluing a person to your blog.

Seal A Bonus Deal

If you want to go one step further, then surprise your loyal readers by visiting their blogs or sites and leaving comments. You may even want to invite some of the more talented folks to submit a guest post. You'll be building relationships that will last a long time, assuming you continue good care.

Get The Word Out

It probably goes without saying, but make it easy for people to sign up for email alerts. You've gone to all the trouble of making a really good blog and taking good care of those who read it, so now encourage them to leave their names and email addresses in a simple and easy to find form. Let them know that their life will be made simpler by taking a second to go to the trouble. Every time you post a new entry, they will receive a notification in their inbox, complete with handy link back to your blog. Initially, if it's a new blog, you may only get a few, but if you're providing a really good, useful read, the numbers will continue to grow and grow.

Not all people are into using RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds yet, but it's a good idea to make the option available for those who aren't shy to use it and for those who dislike signing up for emails. You may still get some of the traffic with the feed button that would otherwise be missed. As it is automatic and time saving, there will be some for whom this quick method will be perfect.

So, now you know how to increase reader loyalty on your blog. If you follow the suggestions in this article, you will have a dedicated group of readers who will support you for a long time to come.

Happy blogging!

5 Blogging Tips For Marketing Affiliate Programs

By Jinger Jarrett

Blogging allows you to do several things with affiliate programs: build an easy website, create multiple streams of income, and add value to the product by offering more information.

You don't need to be a webmaster to build one either. Sites like Blogger and Wordpress.com allow you to build simple blogs that look good and are search engine friendly. Because these sites also rank well in the search engines (Google owns Blogger), you may have high page rank for your site as well as high rankings in the search engines for your topic.

Below are some easy ways for you to get more from your affiliate blog:

1. Write product reviews.

Readers love product reviews. The reason is that product reviews provide more information on the product or service you are offering. It's also an opportunity for you to create a greater desire for the product or service you're offering. You have an opportunity to really show how the product can solve a problem.

2. Offer additional information/articles on your topic.

You don't have to write product reviews all of the time. In fact, that would be boring for you and boring for your readers.

Other types of information you can use are articles and news about your industry. Google Alerts is an easy way to find out what is happening in your industry, and you'll never have writer's block.

3. Add ads to your blog.

Ads are an easy way for you to generate an additional stream of income. Once you add the ad code to your site, you don't have to bother with it anymore unless you change the template for your blog. Then you may want to change your ad colors.

4. Start a conversation with other blogs.

There are two ways to market your blog through other blogs: trackbacks and comments. Trackbacks are where you comment on something that is being said on another blog. Through the trackback link, you "notify" the other blog you have commented on a post.

With comments, you actually go to the blog and add a comment. If you don't have your own website, this is an easy way to promote affiliate links.

Avoid what I call "ditto comments". When you post comments on another blog, have something to say. Don't post ads, especially if the ad isn't related to the topic of the blog. They will only get deleted.

5. Use the same techniques that work to promote other types of websites.

Linking, search engine optimization, articles, and free classified ads are just some of the ways you can promote your blog. Promoting your blog is really no different than promoting any other kind of site.

In fact, blogs are easier to promote because you can submit your RSS feeds to RSS and blog directories. (RSS is a type of code that updates and lists your latest posts.)

If you want to build an easy website, or you want to get more from affiliate programs, blogs are the easiest way to do it. They're fast, fun, and free.

Tips on How to Best Monetize Your Blog Ads and Google AdSense

By Jeff Ando

Monetizing your blog ads can be a very daunting task. Your blog content is very important to increasing your blogs ability to generate you income through the ads that are placed on your blog. It is not enough to just slap a bunch of ads on your blog. One important thing that I have learned is that your ads should somewhat be related to your blogs general content. With Google AdSense this is done pretty much automatically for you. Once you sign up for Google AdSense Google web bot spider will crawl your blog periodically and based on your blogs content your Google AdSense ads will mysteriously start to generate ads that are hopefully related to your blog content. This is a very simple concept that I do not think that a lot of people are generally aware of. People will try to get fancy with their meta tags and forget that Google is only interested in relevant content on your page or pages. Anything else will just confuse the Google web bot spider into generating false results which leads to poor search results for Google which they really do not like and greatly frown upon.

Google has built their reputation on relevant search results and they take this very seriously. Now if Google does this why not you? Don't just throw any old ad on your blog that is not somewhat related to the actual content of your blog. This will only serve as to distract your visitors. It would be like you walking into an ice cream parlor and finding sporting equipment and tennis shoes. Not what brought you in there in the first place. I am not saying that you can't put a few ads on your blog pages that are not directly related to your blog. Just try not to go crazy doing this because like they say sometimes "More is not better". Also this practice is not the greatest way to get visitors to click on your ads. This practice can in more ways hurt your chances of making money with your blog through your Google AdSense ads or any other ads that you have chosen to include on your blog.Your visitors come to your blog because of the title and the keywords that are associated with your blog tile and content.

Don't disappoint your precious visitors with content or ads that do not relate to your blog title and content,Your blog is supposed to be geared towards your visitors interests so including only relevant ads to your blog content will serve your visitors needs. Adhering to these guidelines will ultimately generate more clicks on those relevant ads thus serving to better meet the needs of your visitors and in turn will help you to monetize your blog ads.

What is a Blog? Tips to Start Your Successful Blog

By Jane Robinson

What is a blog?

Originally known as a weblog, its a frequently updated, personal website featuring diary-type commentary and links. Blogs range from the personal diary type to the full blown marketing tool, maximised for profit. They can be unfocused, ranging over a series of topics or focused on one particular field.

They tend to have a number of things in common

* The content area with articles arranged in chronological order, the newest on top.

* archives of older articles

* comment areas, where people can leave comments or questions.

* A links area where people can leave links to their sites

* An about me page, where the author gives some personal information.

Blogs are made up of pages and posts. Pages are fairly static. They include the "about me" page, and possibly an opt in page where readers are invited to leave their email details to get further information and the like. Posts are the "diary entries" frequently updated usually daily and giving pertinent information relevant to the blog and its readership. The posts are the articles and the machinery on which the blog and its success revolve.

What are the 3 most common types of blog post?

1. Information. Where you give, you guessed it, information on something. You could be giving an definition or more likely,an explanation or description of whatever your niche or interest might be.

2. Instruction. Pretty self explanatory really. This is the one where you are telling people how to do something.People learn in different ways, some by the written word, some by hearing and some by watching. Many blogs these days will take advantage of text, audio and video.

3. Inspirational. Those sorts of posts are the of "could be"stories. Stories of personal success that inspire others to carry on, either in that particular niche or in life!

There will also usually be an archive section. The posts can be arranged in date order or you can archive them by author (some blogs have a number of contributors) or alphabetically. The technique of organising and presenting the articles in a linear fashion are what make blogging a popular tool.

How is content created for a blog? Well it's a communication tool first and foremost and communication these days is done in a variety of ways, text, audio and video and a number of blogs contain some or all of these elements. Content can be made in all of these ways, but it they are primarily a text based platform for communicating ideas and information.

What should you write about? When you are first starting out you might find it a bit difficult to get going (or you might find it easy and then run out of steam!). If you have put a bit of thought into what your blogs main theme is about then that is the place to start. If you have a blog about training your cat, then you could have a post on training your cat to whistle in 7 easy steps! On a more serious note, just look at the theme of your blog and write. It doesn't have to be Shakespeare but it does have to be at least a little interesting with some personal stuff thrown in on occasion.

Try the following tips:

Free write. This is something taught on creative writing courses, and it is what it says on the can, you just write anything that springs into your mind, however rubbishy it might be.This can often unlock the creative juices and warms you up. You might come up with some great ideas just by sitting down and doing this although the primary purpose is really to get things moving.

Have a break. Really the opposite of free writing but just as useful. If you are stuck, get yourself out and about for 15 minutes, make a drink, do a bit of exercise. Just a change of scene can help.

Try mind mapping. The buzz word of the moment it seems, but it does seem to work to get things shifting. Get a pen and paper and draw a bubble in the center, put in a word then draw other bubbles off it with any word or phrases you associate with the one in the center. Be as creative as you want, even if there seems to be no association between the words, there will be something in your brainstorming that connects them in some way. Go wild! Stop when you are exhausted. Have a look at what you have written and get rid of the ones that you don't think will add anything to your blog. This way you can often create a series of associated blogging ideas. Its something like free writing but a bit more structured. There are lots of tools out there to help you but the cheapest will be a pen and a bit of paper.

Hope this helps to get you started and keep you focused.

6 Tips When Setting Up a Blog

By Jane Robinson

Why do you want to have a blog. Do you know what one is? Apart from the technical side, what do you want to write about and why? For pleasure, for potential profit? Narrowing down your motivations will help you decide on the theme, look and feel of your blog.

So having gone through it myself, what pearls of wisdom can I impart? I don't think its easy whatever some may say but it gets easier. It would have been helpful if I could have learned alongside someone who was also learning , perhaps only a couple of steps ahead; rather than a couple of miles! There are some out there who may be forgiven for forgetting what it is like to wrestle with terms like FTP and folders, themes and tickets, because they have done it many times before and with the best will in the world might leave out one or two crucial stages, because they are so used to doing it.

The one thing I can say is that you can get a blog going with perseverance and persistence and as long as you are prepared to put in the time and energy it takes, you will succeed. Just be prepared for some frustrations along the way.

When you are considering blogging, you need to think about marketing that blog and monetising it if making money is your motivation. There is a lot to learn but it is a great way to sell things using affiliate links and possibly your own products.

A few things you should consider before you set up your blog.

1. Its not that easy to get up and running if you are new to the internet and not used to doing much more than emailing and surfing but it can be done. It will take serious dedication and patience if you are going to make a serious business out of it.

2. You will need more than one blog if you are interested in selling in more than one field. Dont mix up your "lose weight fast products "blog with your "how to train your horse blog". One blog, one market.

3. Learn everything you can about blog marketing. How to set them up, how to get readers, how to get them to subscribe, how to get them to buy. There is a lot to learn and you can only do it in stages but as you progress,it will be easier to see the path to success. Keep taking action.

4. Learn something about SEO or search engine optimization or pay someone else to sort it out for you. You will need to optimize your blog so the search engines can find it.

5. Accept that you will be good at some things and hopeless at others. If you can't write, get someone else to do it for you.

6. Accept that you will get out of it what you put into it. It won't happen overnight.

Easy Blogging Cash - How to Use "Bum Marketing" to Make Money From Blogging!

By Fabian Tan

Blogging and Bum Marketing go hand in hand. Both are about writing good content on a regular basis. While Bum Marketing is about owning a particular niche, blogging is about being an authority in that same niche.

Here are 4 ways to use Bum Marketing to make money blogging:

1. Write as many articles as possible to make money blogging

The key to successful Bum Marketing is being a prolific writer. It's not enough to write 3 or 4 articles. You need to be thinking about 20 or 30 articles. The goal here is to own the niche you're in. Wherever people look for a particular keyword in your niche, they should see one of your articles.

2. Submit the articles to more than just article directories.

You need to do more than just submit your 20 articles to ezinearticles.com and its competitors. Take these articles and use them for free blogs like Blogger (where the URL contains your keyword), Squidoo, Hubpages, etc.

3. Don't overlook forums

Once you are a respected member on a niche related forum, you can use one of your articles as a tutorial or guide for its members. Make sure the content is solid and useful or you'll quickly be banned.

4. Remember the press release

Fashion one of your articles as a press release to try and generate buzz for your blog. Mainstream news may pick you up.

To make money blogging, you can use many techniques to get traffic. Bum marketing is a free, albeit a time consuming way to achieve this.

You Have the Right to Remain Silent!

By Dimitry Dowzhenko

If you feel that you are safe when copying others work with the anonymity of the web you are badly mistaken, especially when you are blogging. Though internet makes it easier to copy and edit the original material having a good idea about copyright laws while doing so will make you avoid costly and illegal mistakes you might make.

Below listed are a few dos and don'ts that will clarify what you can and cannot do as an online publisher. If you have accessed a Public Domain then you are free to use its contents to your use. You will not be prosecuted for using short quotations out of copyright materials as it is categorized under 'fair use'. However make sure this short quotation does not replicate the original material. You are free to use the ideas and facts mentioned in copyrighted articles or reports.

However this does not give you the right to copy paste whole paragraphs out of original work. You can only extract the original idea and word it in your own way. Furthermore you can use names, titles, slogans, listings of contents or ingredients, etc. without risking the chance of being impeached, if not trademarked. Under Nominative Fair Use you can use a company name and or logo if you are analyzing or criticizing same. Nevertheless the use of name or logo should be alright only as long as you are not going to deceive the readers by implying that you are speaking on behalf of the company or relating to it. Same goes to domain names.

For an example if you are analyzing the blog automation software company http://www.blogwarriorelite.com and writing a report about them you can use their name and logo as long as you do not abuse your right by trying to show the others that you are speaking on behalf of the company. This will protect the contents of the site's contents being misused. Do not assume that you will skip copyright infringement if you credit the author. It is violating the copyright rule unless you have explicit permission from the author for republication. Do not copy material because there is no copyright notice. Any published work automatically gets copyright protection whether it has a notice or not. Do not make the mistake of copying material even though you are not going to reuse same for commercial purposed. The penalty remains same.

As now you have a clear idea of what you should do and don't while you are out there, have a safe journey blogging.

Stress Management Vs Blogging

By Dimitry Dowzhenko

As a professional home blogger your health is a very crucial area you must be constantly vigilant about. Not only because you are the bread winner of the family but being stuck and seated for long hours will not improve your health at any rate. It is not just physical health but mental health as well. I would be lying if I say that being a home blogger is fun because it simply is not.

For most home bloggers managing stress while trying to meet the demanding perhaps inflexible deadlines will seem impossible. However if you follow the simple ways that I am going to suggest that will not lose you any of your precious time will help you to keep healthy.

Take a ten minute break every two hours. Go for a walk, watch some television, listen to music, do anything you feel like for just ten minutes every two hours. Even though it is not much your mind will relax and will give you a fresh start when you sit down to write again. Do not forget stress often cause writer's block which can be deadly to a blogger because time is of the essence to you.

Exercise whenever you can. Take a midday ride in summer, do some sit ups or pushups in winter, it does not matter what kind of exercise you do as long as it increases your blood circulation and make you sweat because the toll of incoming reports regarding weight loss or gain symptoms of bloggers are increasing by the day.

Take at least one vacation a year to take your mind off things. Fresh air definitely does good. To do this you do not need to worry about losing your clients because you can simply hire reliable blog automation software such as www.blogwarriorelite.com which will help you to automatically update the blogs if you have uploaded enough articles.

Laughing is the best medicine for anything and having sex can relax your mind too. Most importantly spend time with your family. Most families of bloggers fall apart because the partners do not have time to attend to each other or to look after their children. Do not let that happen to your family. Make sure to dedicate at least one hour at night to spend with your family.

I Know How to Make Money Blogging

By Crystal Quintas

People often wonder how others make money blogging, so I thought I would show you the 4 most common ways you can make money blogging.

1. Advertising revenue:
Many blog owners add advertising to their blogs to generate income, publishing networks or affiliate programs like Clickbank, Bidvertiser, Google Adsense and Yahoo! have huge networks where an individuals can sign up and place adverts on their blogs or web sites.

The money bloggers get paid comes from advertisers, the advertisers are usually big companies promoting their brand or a specific product they created.

2. Blog Owners Products:
If a blogger is not using advertising revenue to make money blogging they will usually have a product they are selling, usually an Ebook written by the person blogging. The Ebook will be related to the niche the are or intend to market.

3. The List:
If you really want to know how to make money blogging the way to do it is to build a list, to build a list you will need a opt in service like Aweber, Aweber is the biggest and most used auto-responder that bloggers and website owners prefer. They enable a person to add a piece of code to a blog so a visitor can add there name and email address, once you have there email address you can send that visitor a promotion, your special once in a lifetime offer, tell them about a update to your blog or give them a free gift so they will return.

4. Donations:
Another way to make money blogging is donations commonly known as By Me A Coffee or Buy me a beer, Buy me a coffee/beer is a free Wordpress plug-in you add to your Wordpress blogs so people can send you money. People can send you a coffee (money) if they think you blog post was beneficial to them, if they feel sorry for you or for what ever reason they feel you deserve to be paid.

Donations are great because they are tax free, if you have a Wordpress blog add the Buy Me A Coffee plug-in to your blog.

Blogging For Profit - 8 Tips on How to Use Your Blog to Build a Profitable Online Business

By Connie Ragen Green

Blogging will help you to establish your business online, increase your visibility and credibility, and give your readers an opportunity to become part of the conversation. If you are new to blogging, it is an excellent way to refine your niche and get your online business off and running, all within a few short months. Here are some suggestions for making the most of your blog to build your business and begin to make online profits.

  • Use either Typepad or hosted WordPress for your blogging platform. If you are not a techie, Typepad will be the easiest and most inexpensive way to get started. You will also enjoy all of the features available to you with a WordPress blog.
  • Begin writing as though you had been doing it for a year. What I mean by this is to just start right in with blog posts on your niche topic. The more you write, the more focused your writing will become.
  • Do not be surprised if your niche changes while you are in the first few months of blogging. My niche went from teaching people to write articles and eBooks to teaching them how to use the technology necessary for their writing to make money on the internet. I found this out after I started blogging.
  • Have an opt-in box in the upper right-hand corner of your blog. Offer people something of value, like a free report or an audio recording on your topic in exchange for their email address.
  • List your categories where they are clearly visible to visitors. When someone comes to your blog, whether it is the first time or not, make it easy for them to find posts on the exact category they are interested in that day.
  • Offer your products and services on your blog, but do not turn it into a sales page. Instead, provide valuable content, help, and information in each post, and offer to sell something only if it makes sense.
  • Post at least twice each week. The more often you post, the shorter the time until the right people find you and join your list. You may want to designate certain days of the week for book reviews, answering reader's questions, and presenting brand new information on your topic. You want to give people a reason to visit your blog regularly.

5 Top Blogging Tips

By Christie Love

Do you have a blog? Maybe you have many blogs that require you to constantly post articles in order to get interested visitors to your site. Finding new topics everyday to post can become tiresome, but remember you must continue to add value to your blog for your readers by adding fresh new content daily.

A blog is essentially a website that can be maintained by the owner of the blog. The blogger usually maintains the site with regular post entries, audio, video and more. New posts are added every day. The main purpose of a blog is to communicate with people regularly about a particular topic of interest. Topics can be about anything and can range from chickens blogs, to celebrity movie blogs, to salon blogs.

If you are stuck with finding new content to post on your blog, here are some tips that may help.

  1. Make your text posts less than 250 words. When writing for a blog, you don't need to make it as long as a full article. Actually less is better. You'll want to make sure your content is full of information so the reader is eager to return back to learn more.
  2. Make your title grab reader's attention. When blogging, use short but direct titles filled with action words such as, "7 Surefire Tips" or "Secret Reviews."
  3. Include bullet points such as I am doing here. Bullet points on tips or lists are well liked in the blogging world. Simply do quick research find a list of 3-10 tips and add them to your blog. That's all.
  4. Fill your posts with keywords. Remember, your blog is basically a website and as a website, if you aren't able to pay for Pay Per Click advertisements, then the best way to get your blog recognized on search engines is to use high ranking keywords in your posts.
  5. Be consistent with your writing style. When frequenting your blog, visitors want to learn more about you and the knowledge you have to give. Therefore, if you are flipping your writing style in a way that sounds like someone else, visitors won't be able to connect with you, so choose a writing style and stay with it.

Being truly happy in any relationship begins with you. It would take much more room than we have here to fully explain them all. Fortunately, there is a great resource you can visit to get all the sassy and fabulous information you need. Visit my blog at http://youfabulousyou.com to get free tips on how you can create a fabulous new you, while attracting men in the process.

Blogging With WordPress in a Web 2.0 World - Video Blogging

By Cathy Perkins

Blogging in a web 2.0 world is all about interactivity and building a community. What better way to do both than through video blogging?

Video blogging is just one of the new powerful ways to market your products and incorporate web 2.0 technologies into your WordPress blog. When you combine video and blogging you are able to reach new markets through the many video sites such as YouTube and Flickr. How, you ask? Host your videos on YouTube and embed them into your blog post. It looks like people are watching the video on your site but they are actually watching it on YouTube. You extend your reach without using your bandwidth!

My colleague and friend, Jeff Herring - The Article Guy - put a video up on YouTube and at the same time incorporated it into his blog. Within two days he was number one on YouTube for his keywords. How much traffic do you think that brought to his blog?

You don't need to be in the video yourself. You can do screen capture videos to explain something in your niche. Since people learn on different levels, combining video and text will get your message out to more people than text alone.

If you do use videos that include you, you will quickly build the 'know, like, and trust' factor. People will hear from you in your own words, see you, and feel like they know you. It's so difficult to build trust but with video blogging you are doing just that whenever people see you.

To get started with video blogging all you need is a little, inexpensive Flip Video camera. It's easy to use and has software built right in for uploading to your computer and then on up to your blog. Why is it called a 'Flip'? Because it connects to your computer through a USB connection built right into the camera. When you are ready to connect the camera to your computer, you 'flip' open the USB connection and you are ready to go.

You can see that there is really no excuse not to get started with video blogging now.

The Bottom Line: Start bringing your blog into the world of Web 2.0. You have no excuse not to!

How to Make Money From Blogging?

By Brendan Lee

In today's world, there is no iron rice bowl career. One must try to achieve a few income streams, so if we lose our job, at least our secondary income is still flowing in. One of the ways to earn secondary income is through blogging.

1. Set up a few websites from a free provider such as blogger.com

Some people like to buy a domain and pay for a server maintenance because it has a nicer website address but this can incur costs.

I prefer to use a free provider because whatever I earn from online is a net profit for me. Cost of my online marketing is zero.

2. I setup account at AdSense. This way I earn revenue when my readers click on the ads from AdSense. (My revenue is about US$50/mth)

3. I tie up with a trading company to do marketing for them, this is call affiliate marketing. Whenever my readers open their account from their website, I earn some commission. Commission for 1 standard account opened is US$250, commission for 1 mini account opened is US$100. (My revenue about US$600/mth)

4. Install Google analytics or map in your website to track who are your readers, and how many readers read your website.

5. After setting up your own website, AdSense account and affiliate account, you need to create traffic in your website. Meaning you need a lot of people to go into your website, then they will click on AdSense ads and open account.

a. One of the ways is to join forums, create signature with your website in it.

b. Contribute comments on others people website

c. Write ideas in your website regularly, so your readers will come again and again.

d. Contribute articles in article websites.

The 1st year can be disappointing in your revenue as few people know about your website. But subsequently it will be more and more popular and revenue will increase. Who knows, your online revenue may eventually be greater than your full time job.

Great Tips on How to Make Money From Blogging

By Anthony Chambers

It seems hard to believe but it is possible to make money from blogging. In fact, there are people who have become full-time bloggers and who actually make a living from this once arcane activity. Indeed, the world is changing so quickly that blogging is now developing into a full-time career. Who would have thought that you could stay home and make money from blogging just ten years ago?

If you have a penchant for writing stuff, and you can put reasonably good sentences together, there is a place in the blogging industry for you. Many bloggers are finding their niche by writing about their favorite topics, then publishing the results for themselves or for others who pay them. If you follow current events, you will notice too that many political candidates, and even your favorite news anchor has a blog. People love to read what others have to say, and dare I say that this is the epitome of the emerging phenomenon called web 2.0

Before I move on, please allow me to mention a few things you may find useful if you decide to take up blogging as a part-time or full-time money earner. Although blogs are simply journal-type entries into a specific type of web form, you may not always be blogging about your favourite subject. Indeed, you may be asked to blog about a product or service you may never had heard about in your life. Be prepared to approach all subject with an open mind and a willingness to learn. Don't worry, adult and other x-rated content are usually not subjects you have to blog about.

So the question is then, "How do I make money from blogging?". Well! To begin to answer that question, you need to find out who will actually pay you to blog. It certainly can be your gateway to earning extra cash from home. Of course, you have to become diligent and apply some amount of discipline ef you want to earn money from blogging, but that should be no problem.

One of the most popular blog site that will actually pay you money for blogging is PayPerPost.com. This site will arrange for you to blog on various subjects including products and services that their readers will find useful. I have taken a look at PayPerPost.com and there are quite a few opportunities to write for individuals and companies. They are offering from $5.00 to $35.00 for each post that is created to show their offers in a positive light. This is not a shabby deal, if you are a writer.

One other popular blogging site that will pay you money for blogging is BlogToProfit.com. Blogtoprofit's home page, although ranked 4/10 by Google, is very sparse. The only thing you can actually do on their home page is read the rules, read the FAQ's, or sign up. Nevertheless, the site seems reasonable in their guidelines and if you have a blog, you should conduct a test by writing for them. The idea behind blogtoprofit.com is to create blogs on your own site with their clients' links, in context of course, and submitting the same to them for approval. They will then pay you by PayPal for writing the blog.

Blogsvertise.com is another of the sites that will help you make money from blogging. I have done some research on this company and I like them. Their rules are reasonable, and it seems quite possible to make some good money with them as a blogger. Why not look into blogging with any of these companies? While there are other blogging aggregators such as creamaid.com and blogitive.com, you should have enough information here to make a positive start in your quest to make money from blogging.

How Can I Sell Advertising on My Blog Or Forum?

By Andrew K Long

If you are making revenues (or trying to) from monetizing your forum or blog through advertising, the question you may have is how should you do it? That is, should you use advertising networks, Google AdSense, or sell directly and keep all the profits for yourself?

The answer to this will largely be a matter of personal taste and style, and temperament. And you may use a combination, of course.

With advertising networks, they serve advertising on your blog and share advertiser revenue for qualified clicks each time your blog's visitors click on ads. There are a few different kinds of advertising networks and they share revenues in different ways.

Representative (or Rep) Networks generally revenue share; these are the ones who usually carry ad inventory for brand advertisers, larger companies. Targeted Networks focus on specific targeting technologies and usually also use revenue sharing.

Blind Networks use arbitrage; the official investing and marketing definition of arbitrage is "a risk-free transaction consisting of purchasing an asset at one price and simultaneously selling that same asset at a higher price, generating a profit on the difference." In other words, you'll buy the rights to the advertising inventory outright, then try to make your money back and get to where it's making you a profit.

The advantage of advertising networks is clear: they have tons of already-made advertising inventory and they're waiting for you to knock on their virtual door. The downside is equally clear: they can be costly or eat into your profits, and also especially for Reps your blog may not qualify for their services (such as if you don't have enough traffic).

What about Google's AdSense, the system by which you allow AdWords to show up on your blog? Well, it costs you nothing to set up, it's relatively attractive and subtle (so it doesn't junk up your blog), and if you have enough traffic at your blog or forum you can indeed make a decent revenue from it. The downside is: everybody's doing it, meaning the competitiveness of the ads that appear on your blog is likely to be watered down; and, once again Google takes their cut. So it's questionable how BIG your profits may get from AdSense.

Finally, you might want to consider direct advertising - that is, selling advertising space at your blog and raking in 100% of the profits from this.

Through this you: set your own ad rates; enjoy direct contact with advertisers; have more diversity of advertising options and strategies to employ (banner or text link placeholders, shared advertising options with other bloggers, sponsorships of specific blog posts, and so on); and you have more payment options (you can negotiate with the advertisers without there being any middle man).

What are the problems? Well, basically, two exist. One, you may end up with a contract dispute and have your advertising clients demanding their money back. And speaking of advertising clients, they are more difficult to come by when you're on your own. With greater freedom and potential profit always comes greater risk and responsibility! So if you choose this route, make sure you: create a hot, shamelessly promoting sell page for advertisers to land on; and, offer them variable rates and different options.

Finally, always weigh up what your blog means to you and think about how sucessful it is at directing traffic to other pages on your site, or to the products and services you sell. The point is always get the best out of what you have -if your blog is providing people with a service and also sends them to other pages which could bring in revenue fr you, do you really want people to click on ads and leave your site?

Business Blogging For Profit

By Altha Sood

Do you remember the old ways of keeping in touch with your clients? You usually contacted them by telephone, fax machines, direct mail marketing and even personal meetings. But now, entrepreneurs are becoming smarter by using existing internet technology to be kept up-to-date with the latest trends in business and in contact with their customers. Some of the latest trends and/or changes are text and voice chat capabilities in lieu of emails, website forums, etc.

Blogging is another internet tool that has made a dramatic transformation. Originally, blogging was just used to show different thoughts and ideas; basically, a bunch of personal diaries and/or bulletin boards for someone sharing their expertise on a particular subject. In 2008, we now use blogging as a promotion tool to boost our businesses. Blogs, now, compliment a website. Rather than emailing your customers/clients, you can use your blog to keep them informed on the latest changes on your website, sales updates, new products, etc. Adding a RSS feed makes your blog even more valuable to your business.

From Regular Blogs to Business Blogs

From regular blogs (diary blogs) to what we call now the "business blog", can help you save thousands of dollars and provides you a great business opportunity. Not only are some blogs free to use, they are also user-friendly; can be customized; and a flexible medium for circulating useful information for effective positioning of your products/services in the market.

There are many noteworthy advantages for entrepreneurs who engage in business blogging as follows:

  • There are more than 100,000 blogs posted on the Internet. Statistics show that there are currently 14 million blogs posted on the Internet with an estimated 80,000 more being added everyday. In addition, 30% of 50 million Internet users are blog readers. Just think of the number of possible audiences you can attract if you advertise your product through blogs.
  • With your blogs, you can allow your clients to post their comments related to the product you are offering. It can be a great help in improving your product through the suggestions that are being posted. In addition, you can take immediate actions regarding your clients' concerns.
You may ask yourself, "How do I make my business blog as effective as the other means of Internet advertising available?" Your best answer is to have your blog submitted to the numerous blog search sites and directories. This would be your best move especially if your site is newly constructed. Be sure to include your website URL.

Business blogs provide you great marketing possibilities for your product(s) and/or service(s). Remember, your potential clients are just around the corner waiting for you to post on your business blogs.

Earning Money With Blogs

By William Moseley

Making money with blogs is fairly simple if you know what to do with your blog to make it profitable. Making money with blogs, though, requires you to get into a niche. Which means keeping your blog content fresh. If you want to earn a living with blogs means knowing how to motivate when you write. Making money with blogs is also something that can be achieved if you have your own business. Earning money with blogs is the ultimate goal of most bloggers.

Blog

Blogging has the ability to establish people as experts on niche topics and we all know the value of being perceived as an expert. Blogs can be the easiest thing to make money from, there so easy to get a high PR in a quick amount of time. Blogs are definitely the way forward in 2008. Blogging has acquired the status of full fledged industry; many bloggers have built fortunes by blogging. Blogs are also a great way to build a mailing list which can lead to even more income in the future. Blogs are great for affiliate marketing, but not straight away.

Marketing

It seems like the majority of people who want to get serious about blogging want to be writers, and end up having to learn all of the social marketing and Search engine optimization and everything else to serve that desire-to get their words into other people's brains. Using blogs to make money is a great way to start getting a handle on the basics of internet marketing. As you know, marketing tactics and promotional methods change hourly on the Internet. It's sad to say, but many otherwise smart business people treat their blog like a hobby not a marketing tool, and certainly not as the best darn marketing tool on the planet. Many companies now use blogs as an additional marketing arm for their own products and services. Blogs are becoming very popular on the Internet as a great marketing and money-making tool. However, bloggers should know that what they write can be a way for them to make some extra cash especially since a lot of businesses now consider written blogs as a part of their marketing strategies. But if you want to increase your marketing through blogs, while making some extra money, consider advertising on your blog as a means to accomplish that. Another way to monetize a blog is through affiliate marketing. Success will not happen overnight and to become successful with Internet marketing, you will have to put in the effort first. You may not consider yourself to be a "writer", but the truth is if you are using blogging as one of your marketing and link building strategies you will have to figure out a way to produce quality blog articles on a consistent basis.

As more and more people turn to well-written blogs for information, making money with blogs will become much easier. You need to learn to write and write often so you are making money with blogs. Since you will be making money with blogs from the number of clicks on those ads, your content needs to reflect the type of ads on the sides of your page. This will increase your chances of making money with blogs. Your layout also impacts making money with blogs. However, remember that good content will always keep you on a better track for making money with blogs as content draws in your traffic and leads people to click on your ads.

Utilize Courtesy Within Your Blogging Niche

By Terry Philpott

A great way to get back links to your blog is by leaving comments on other blogs within your blogging niche. This fun, simple, and free method of traffic however does come with a set of 'unwritten' rules within the blogging community. Remember when visiting someone else's blog you're entering into a 'conversation' and many times you may have not been invited. Common courtesy should always be practiced in this environment.

Remember you are visiting for reasons such as learning or possibly as a favor to the host blogger. Your participation although likely welcomed, must always be in a positive manner such as knowledgeable or constructive answers, comments, or suggestions. Never use this venue to criticize, ridicule, or condemn those 'unfortunates' who may not share your viewpoints. Likewise any 'scalding reviews' of a novice blogger for his or her lack of apparent experience as it may show up in the structure or appearance of their blog. Liken this experience to an office party where maintaining a politically correct posture is always the most prudent approach. As a blogger this will not only help you make friends and possibly gain readers, but also prevent you from committing 'blogging suicide.'

As mother always told us, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! Within the blogging community unless you're the 'only' authority within your field it's not a good idea to antagonize others. Readers will ALWAYS have other sources to find material that's interesting to them.

Concerning any blog comments you leave (along with the link back to your blog, of course) be sure the comment(s) are warranted. By this I mean don't just comment for the sake of commenting so you can leave your link. Trust me; this will be identified quickly thereby making you unwelcomed in the future. One thing you don't want is to gain the reputation of a 'blog spammer' since all your future comments may be banned even if they are constructive to the structure of the conversation.

Speaking to the 'quality' of your comments be sure that they are always helpful and appropriate. There's neither need nor place for hostility or negativity. Keep your 'tone' civil and level headed. Blogging environments are structured to educate, exchange ideas and thoughts, coaching, and other means of support. Save the fighting for the 'back alleys' if you must!

Lastly never 'steal' content from another site and represent it as your own. You may however use this content as long as credit is clearly given to the original source.

Always be polite and choose your words correctly when leaving blog comments. These are words documented making it difficult to hide or deny after the fact. They may be words that come back to haunt you. By 'doing unto others' within any blogging niche, you'll open many doors for yourself from which to benefit.

Establishing Your Blog

By Terry Philpott

With any new blog the time span immediately following the first published post is critical to establishing your blog. What I'm referring to here is the importance of creating and posting content that remains consistent with the central theme of your blog. This is your niche. This effort should be continuous to maintain a steady stream of interested new visitors.

To achieve and maintain this stream of traffic to your blog, you'll need a strategy, a marketing plan if you will, in order to both attract and maintain this attention.

One approach is to create a series of articles all pertaining in some form or fashion to the niche you're targeting. Once you've got this content together start posting it to your blog. Not all at once but spread out over a period of time. Now here's the neat part. To get 'more bang for your buck' take these same articles and publish them thru numerous article directories (only after they've been posted on your blog) which in turn will give you greater circulation and more exposure for your blog. A rule of thumb is to wait at least 24 hours after posting to publish through article directories.

It's at this point in the life of your blog where the quality of your content should be at its best. Now that's not to say that you can post garbage later on and still expect to attract visitors. However, the initial stages of your blog is where you want to maximize the amount of traffic you attract to help you establish a good reader base. Great content with the right circulation will help you do just that.

Don't fear that after you've posted and published all your best content that you won't be able to create any more. Heck, you created the first batch didn't you? With practice the more you write the better you'll get and the easier it will become.

An important point here is to be sure you've clearly defined your theme and/or niche. This is done by keeping your content consistently relevant to the niche you've targeted. You don't want to lose your readers. They are visiting your site because the subject interests them. Don't confuse them or drive them away by publishing or posting content unrelated to your theme.

After establishing your blog another great way to gain readership is to visit other blogs within your niche to see what they're talking about. This could spark some great ideas for you. Also don't be afraid to leave comments at these blogs if you see fit. ALWAYS make your comments constructive, insightful, and useful if you can. Let's call this blogging etiquette. This will help build your reputation as an authority positioning your blog as a site of interest for new readers to visit.

The Madness That Blogging Brings

By Ted De Stratford

I am of the opinion that blogging should come with a health warning. There is no doubt in my frazzled and tiny mind that blogging can make one go mad.

Think about it.

Throughout history, apart from hairs growing in the palm of the hand and dribbling uncontrollably a sure sign of madness has always been, talking to oneself. And as we all know jabbering away to no-one in particular is a particular trait of the majority of bloggers, who gabble away with every post that they write and commit to the internet. A reaction to the secret knowledge that all bloggers have, but refuse to accept. The terrible truth...that Mr or Ms blogger will actually be the only one in the whole universe to read what they have just written.

So why do it in the first place?

The answer of course has to be, narcissism, arrogance and a very sad life BC (before computer). A life in most cases, certainly amongst male bloggers, spent in an attic room, reading er...unusual magazines. Oh yes, and wearing polyester.

Narcissism as we all know is a particular nasty form of disease suffered by those that find themselves unloved, except by their mothers. Its most recognised symptoms include a belief that you have something to say that the rest of the world (sounding familiar?) will find interesting, hence the existence of bloggers who write about their children or their pets, or indeed their mothers.

Another known fact about blogging and bloggers and an important factor in the rising occurrence of blogging madness, is that bloggers do not sleep. In fact, they cannot sleep. Their every hour, on the hour, spent rising from their bare mattresses to check for comments.

To sum up, a blogger's life is a short one. Only happy when pounding the keyboard and only pounding the keyboard because of a drug-like dependency on that comment arriving. Which of course, it never does.

So my friends, beware the urge to blog and for your own sake consider the options carefully.

There's a lot to be said for Smoking and Drinking.

Five Reasons You Should Be Blogging For Business Right Now

By Suzanne Lieurance

Although web-logs (called blogs) started out as personal online diaries, today's blogger can be anyone from a stay at-home-mom to a corporate mogul. And even the stay-at-home mom is likely to be blogging for business, not simply sharing her personal life with the online world.

If you're a small business owner, here are five reasons you should be blogging for business right now:

1. Creating an online presence is easy with a blog. Today, everyone expects anyone with a serious business to be visible online. But that doesn't mean a small business owner has to shell out big bucks on an expensive website right from the start. Instead, start with a blog. A blog can be set up easily and quickly at little or no cost - so no matter how small your company might be, you can be online blogging for business in (literally) a few minutes. You can also update your blog much easier and quicker than you can a regular website. You don't have to wait for a webmaster to make changes for you.

2. A blog lets you develop relationships with your customers or clients. If you blog regularly, your readers get to know more about you and your services. They can also leave comments for you on the blog, so you can interact with them through this site. Research shows that people are more likely to do business with someone they know. Post to your blog daily (or at least several times a week) and readers will get to know you, trust you, and feel confident to buy your products and or services.

3. A blog gives you additional opportunities to network with other small businesses. You can provide reciprocal links at your blog. That just means you put a link to another company's website or blog on your blog and that company puts a link to your blog on theirs. You benefit from these links because your blog attracts additional readers from these other sites.

4. You can use your blog to help build your mailing list. A good way to do this is to offer something free in return for joining your mailing list. Free ebooks related to the products or services offered by your business are perfect "give aways" to use for this purpose. Put a sign-up box on your blog where readers can join your mailing list and automatically receive your free products via email.

5. By regularly posting to your blog, you become an "expert" in your line of work. People always turn to experts when they need help. Establish yourself as an expert in your field and people will turn to you when they need the particular type of products or services that you have to offer.

These are just five reasons you should be blogging for business right now. Once you start blogging yourself you'll notice additional benefits too, so don't wait. Start blogging!

What Does Blog Stand For and 5 Steps to Create Your Own Wordpress Blogs

By Shane Connolly

First of all, what does the word Blog stand for? The word Blog originates from the words 'Web Log'. A blog is a website similar to a diary where a person can write posts for others to read. Visitors can also make comments about a blog post on a blog. Creating your own blog is relatively easy and affordable. It's an excellent way to keep in contact with people interested in the same topic, customers and other internet users.

Once you are able to create one blog, its easy to repeat the process. Specific blogging software exists and is free to use. One of the most popular blog providers is Wordpress. It is free to setup and you can use many different layouts (also known as themes). Wordpress is search engine friendly and easy to use.

-First of all you need to decide on a name for your blog, preferably a name related to the topic of the blog.

-Once you have decided on a name, register the blogs domain name with a domain provider. These websites offer a search facility, so you can check to see if the domain name you want is available. If it's not available, you will have to try alternative names.

-When you finally register a domain name, you need to host it somewhere. There are many hosting companies available, but it pays to do your homework and use a host with cPanel, and if possible Fantastico. If your domain and hosting companies are different, you will need to change the DNS settings for the domain name to your hosting account.

-The next step is to install Wordpress software through the cPanel of your hosting company.

-When Wordpress has been installed on the new domain, you are ready to create your blog. Free Wordpress themes are available, so you can change the look and feel of your blog. I normally use a free Wordpress themes provider called http://wpthemesfree.com It includes hundreds of themes for various topics, so you have plenty of choices. Wordpress has additional functions called plugins so you can customize your blog whatever way you like. Finally, you can now start posting on your new blog.

To your success,
Shane Connolly

Newbies to Blogging - Unleash the Power!

By Rebecca Appleton

A web phenomenon, search marketers are switching onto the power of blogs and increasingly including them in their search engine optimisation strategy. As an online journal, blogs are powerful marketing tools and can be leveraged for SEO purposes in a number of ways. They are a more informal medium than many web site marketing tools and as such, reach the target audience in a number of different ways.

1. Build Links

While blogs started out as personal online diaries of individuals, they were quickly adapted to the corporate world. Now, many major corporations and smaller companies working with a lower marketing budget have adopted the blog. Finding an easy alliance between an informal chat and a corporate sales pitch, the blog allows web site publishers to interact with the web user in a way that was previously unsustainable.

From a marketing viewpoint, a good company blog gives the reader an insight into the mechanics of the company. It goes behind the scenes and engages readers to comment and interact by providing an honest, open space for communication. In the midst of this dialogue, events such as new product launches, appearances at trade shows, new staff hires and the inauguration of new business premises make good blog postings. Company takes on business headlines and calls for consumer feedback are all good blog fodder. With so much diverse content so related to the company and its operations, strategic links can also be included. As the publisher, the blogger selects when and how to link to other pages, creating an attractive tool within the search engine optimisation process.

Links placed within a blog are picked up by search engines and contribute to the web site's ranking in returned search results. A good blog sending relevant traffic to the web site will make a significant contribution to search engine optimisation success. Blogs which have something interesting to say will also find other web sites linking back to the original post, a situation which will see link numbers thrive.

2. Drive Traffic To Your Web Site

Even though you may already have covered much of the ground included in the company blog on the main web site, a well-thought out blog can give web traffic levels a real boost. Just as a second shop will attract clientele not previously tempted to venture into the original retail outlet, a blog will attract web users who have not yet visited your web site. This new traffic and potential sale opportunity can be redirected through the blog to the main web site using marketing techniques such as special offers and blog promotions.

To harness this web traffic for better search engine optimisation performance, strategic anchor text and deep linking to secondary pages within the main web site will push the company name through the search engine rankings.

3. Build Your Credibility (Also Known As Another Way To Build Links)

After dinner speakers find themselves in demand because they are a knowledge source of comment and opinion. They education and provoke thought because they are well-read and keep on top of developments in their industry. These are exactly the same functions a well-written, updated and well-thought out blog can perform. Regularly added content, user surveys and measured, intelligent response to industry news and product development will underpin company credibility. The blog poster will also develop a reputation and a knowledgeable reliable source, making other web sites and blogs more likely to link back to those on topic postings. These third party links will again help with the search engine optimisation process. Aside from the obvious SEO benefits, this seal of approval will also help to drive sales and traffic.

Tips About Blogging to Grow Your Top Home Business

By Mike Muir

Blogging is accepted as a way of attracting traffic to your site. Write about your experiences in setting up your business from scratch.

You'll need to have a blogsite to start with. A quick search of the internet will produce many options which are freely available. In fact the blog offers from the major search engines are all extremely attractive, offer many options to you, and above all, are very user-friendly!

Have look at the options available, and select an option which suits your business style and image. You'll be able to select from a range of templates and colour choices to make your blog more personal.

You'll be assisted to select a name for your blog, but you'll find that some of the names are already in use. Choose something that compliments your business, and that has a professional ring to it. Registering your blog takes only a few minutes, and then you can get to work!

It's a good idea to personalize your blog, to reflect something of yourself, even if it is a business site. It's quite simple to upload a picture of yourself, so that your visitors can see that you're a real person. You don't have to have film-star looks - but a small image adds that personal touch.

It will help to write a short personal profile about who you are, so that readers can learn a little about you. A brief history of your work experience is important, again to show who you are. You don't need to have been a top-flight executive in a global company! People will be just as interested to hear that you've had an ordinary job, doing anything!

The fact that you might have been a teacher, a truck-driver or a lawyer matters not one iota. What makes you an expert is that you've made the break and started your own home business. You then have some experiences to share which will be of value to others facing personal decisions about starting their own top home businesses.

Write a little about where you live, and even share something of your interests outside the business. This also adds a personal touch, and gives you more credibility in the minds of your readers. Don't forget that your blog is your own personal site - even if it's a business site.

It's important to add a link to your website, so that your visitors can look further to see the range of products or services you have to offer. If they've found a visit to your blog worthwhile, interesting and above all informative, they'll be much more likely to visit your website for more information. Providing a link makes this very simple for the visitor. You'll find out how to do this by going into the dashboard or menu for your blog, and follow the simple instructions. Remember to use the help tag if you hit a problem.

There'll be more tips about growing your business by blogging later in this series. Thanks for visiting and taking the time to read this.
