Blogging to Build a Profitable Online Business - How to Become an Expert in Your Field by Blogging

By Connie Ragen Green

Creating a blog for your business is the best way to connect with others who are interested in learning more about your topic. I like to think of my blog as my home on the internet. It is a place where I share my knowledge and expertise in the areas of eBook writing, blogging, technology, social media, and article writing. When someone comes to my blog, whether it is through one of my articles, a comment from a forum, or from Facebook or Twitter, they will know very quickly if this is where they will find the information they need. Here are some ways to get your blog ready quickly, so that you will attract the prospects and clients you want for your online business.

  • Choose a blogging platform that is easy for you to use. The best choices are Typepad or a hosted WordPress blog. With these two blogging services you own your blog and have complete control over it.
  • Post to your blog regularly. This should be at least twice a week, and more in the beginning. Remember that you can always ask people to write a guest post or use articles from the article directories that would be of interest to your readers. Keep those articles intact, leaving the author's name and resource box information exactly the way they were written.
  • Focus on one topic for your blog. If you write about a variety of things you will never find an audience that sticks with you. Become an expert on your topic and share your expertise with your readers.
  • Read and comment on other people's blogs. Many people neglect this part of the process and miss out on the relationship building that is so important online.

Follow these steps and you will have a blog that people will want to read regularly. Become the go-to person in your field and your blog will help you to create a profitable online business.

And now I invite you to join me for free weekly teleseminars that will teach you how to blog, write and market your articles, and write an ebook to increase your visibility, credibility and passive income by visiting http://www.EbookWritingandMarketingSecrets.com and also learn the technology needed to run an online business.

Firepow SEO Blogging Software - Why Firepow is the Ultimate Traffic Generation Software For Blogs

By Colleen Slater

When you think of a SEO blogging software you naturally think of a blog tool that performs one or two minor functions. That was probably the case until a revolutionary software application was launched just recently by my friend Andrew Hansen.

The trick with being a successful blogger is the amount of work involved creating your blog, promoting it, driving traffic to it and maintaining it. That was until now. Traffic management and automation now makes the life of every blogger so much easier.

1. You can now create your weblog with just two mouse clicks. You simply fill in a form explaining the destination of your blog, the name of it, the theme and also the plugins and in two clicks it's fully installed.

2. You can manage all your blogs from the one control panel in Firepow.

3. The Wordpress plugins and exclusive customized plugins especially for Firepow add more functionality than has ever been available. Each page of your content is keyword optimized; you can publish quality RSS feeds; you can allow your visitors to add your posts to social bookmarking sites; you can show related posts at the end of every post to allow your visitors to stay longer; you can even protect your blog from hackers.

4. The task manager in Firepow allows you to manage all your tasks. You can view them, search them, create future tasks and create new task plans. To make it easier you can adopt one of the customized plans already in this SEO blogging software.

5. You don't have to write your own content. You can search the top article directories online for relevant content and post them straight to your blog. You can use them straight away or save them for future use.

6. You can have ongoing updates to your blog without any effort on your part with RSS content (this tool alone is worth 100s of dollars is sold separately). You search for a relevant RSS feed; whether to save content as a draft or publish it immediately; how often you want the RSS feed content posted - a continually updating blog is something that Google loves.

7. You can get valuable backlinks immediately with the RSS submission tool in FP.

8. You can then promote your site and have your site geared up to be spread around the world with social bookmarking (either automatically or manually). You'll immediately get 40 valuable backlinks, you'll develop friends, make new connections and save time and effort and even outsourcing.

9. This one is my personal favourite - you can increase traffic and build more valuable backlinks by answering questions on Yahoo Answers. Firepow will find the most recent questions, pages of questions will pop up, you can choose which ones to answer and then insert your URL as the source for the answer. I've reached Level 2 on Yahoo Answers in a short period of time through this method and have gotten numerous best answers through this simple and slightly addictive process.

10. You can build viral content by claiming the traffic of the most popular videos on YouTube. You can scan for related videos for your post and display them on your post. It will create a page embedded with that video and when a user clicks through to the video and watches it on your site and shares the URL with his friends - this is your URL and not the YouTube URL. Your site will have more variety and better content for repeat visitors.

I could in all honesty go on and on about this SEO blogging software but I won't. I've tried to explain in a nutshell how Firepow can drive more traffic to your blog than was previously possible without a lot of manual hard labour. To learn the four simple step for being a successful blogger click here There's no use blogging unless you're blogging for targeted traffic to your site. The right SEO blogging tool can save you time, money and give your earnings online a significant boost. I earn a full time income as a niche blogger and Firepow is the SEO blogging software that I use on a daily basis.

Let me give YOU the edge over other Firepow users with my exclusive Firepow offer. Instantly save 30% on Firepow and get access to my exclusive Firepow bonuses to help you make money online. PLUS when you invest in Firepow at the site below you'll also qualify for free one on one email coaching and mentoring with me. Go to http://www.Firepow-Software-Review.com for more information!

Blog Traffic Machine - 12 Secrets For Webmasters

By Codrut Turcanu

If you're a webmaster and want to increase blog traffic, pay close attention.

You might have a wonderful blog set up. You have started to post concise and helpful information that your niche market would benefit from. The number of comments gradually decrease as days go by and your traffic towards your blog starts to fare badly. What will you do next?

Believe it or not, blogs require ongoing promotions to start driving traffic.

This article reveals 12 little-known blog traffic secrets that will help you to get more blog visitors, readers and customers:

1. Announce your blog to the world. Invite your kith and kin, friends, acquitances, clients, associates and business colleagues in your network to subscribe.

2. Get spidered by the Yahoo search engine. Set up a feed on Yahoo.com.

3. Make sure your blog's URL is imprinted on your brochures, business cards and flyers.

4. Visit related blogs in your expertise area. Share healthy, bold, helpful comments (and ideas) and include alink back to your blog.

Keep in touch with other bloggers who are in your niche market. Avoid writing boring and seeming templated things like "good blog" or "wonderful post".

5. Frequent posts attract your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; always include links to other articles, blogs and Web Sites in your posts.

6. Always link your blog in your email signature file.

7. Use Ping-0-Matic to ping blog directories every time you publish. Only ping blogs related to your content. Pingomatic.com

8. Post your written articles in article directories and don't forget to include a link to your blog in the author's resource box.

9. Use blog directories to submit your blogs. Go to http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55 for a complete list of blog directories.

10. Include a link back to your blog on every page of your Web Site.

11. Every edition of your newsletter must contain a link to your blog, so every time you publish a new issue, insert a blog link.

12. Create a RSS (Rich Site Summary, or Really Simple Syndication) feed URL and let people subscribe to it.

NOTE: RSS is a document type that lists updates of Web Sites or blogs available for syndication. RSS documents (also known as 'feeds') may be read using aggregators (news readers). It either shows only headlines or both headlines and summaries.

In conclusion, your blog is a real gold mine. Make blogs work for you now, not later. Get more traffic to your blog and turn it into profits.

Make Money From Your Blog - How?

By Chris Egan

The first way you can make money from your blog is by selling Advertising on it. This is a way for advertisers to reach people within a very specific niche market (that niche being the main topic covered in your blog). It could be your blog appeals to a younger demographic, in which case certain advertisers will be more interested than others.

Advertisers will pay in different ways, some will want annual contracts, others monthly, others performance based (in other words if a visitor doesn't do a certain action in relation to their advertisement the won't want to pay you), still others will simply go on the no of times their advertisement is seen. In order to maximise your earnings from advertising you need to know your statistics, and you need to keep accurate logs of them.

Advertisers will not pay you simply because you say my site got X no of views during the past X no of months. They will need to see Google Analytics, and / or any other web logs that you have to prove your claims.

What will appeal to anyone and attract them to advertise with you is the content. If you have fresh content, that is updated regularly then advertisers will see a great advantage in placing their ad's on your blog.

Another form of advertising is Google AdSense. This is very easy to setup and for the blogger just starting out this is probably the best way to go. You simply need to visit google.com/adsense, and sign up for an account. Then you can add their code to your site, making sure it is in the strategic banner and side bar areas, but not dominating the look/feel of your blog. Too many ad's will simply turn Blog readers off.

AdSense is by far the most famous PPC program out there. You can get free Wordpress plugins which help you to add the code and manage the ad's in a Wordpress blog.

If you want to set this up well, it is a great idea to keep the following in mind, that your blog readers don't react well to big changes in your website look/feel. So if you want to do this right, add the AdSense from day one. Then the look and feel will not change so much that visitors to your site will be put off by any changes you later make.

Another way to earn income from your blog is by selling links. This has some great advantages for you. First when you sell a link it requires very little time to setup and maintain. Second they make you monthly income, and it is automatic, in other words you sell the link, and the user pays you a regular monthly payment.

Another way of monetizing your site is to promote affiliate products. Here is a tip, if you include eBay items, and a visitor to your blog clicks on the link, makes a $400 purchase then your commission will be $20 for just one sale.

Clickbank is another great Affiliate program. It is excellent for Blog site owners in part because there are so many different products available, and second because the products are delivered digitally, and increasingly people want instant access for their purchased product.

Hope this gives you some ideas on how you can monetize your site. To find out more tips on how to Make Money With Your Blog click here: http://www.youblogformoney.com.

How to Optimize Your Wordpress Blog For Search Engines

By Arun Pal Singh

Wordpress is a great platform for blogging. It does not require much technical know how to install and use it. This and its versatility are the main reasons why Wordpress has become so popular. Today we would discuss few tricks and tweaks that beginners can use for better functioning of Wordpress. This would also give them higher search engine optimization effect.

Server

Install your Wordpress on a Linux server. It may cost a bit more but would save you many headaches in future.

Enable Pinging

This is a feature I like in blogging platforms most. Every time you publish a post your blog send a a signal to the search engines to come take a look at your blog . This ensures that your content is being noticed by the search engines and is regularly updated.Your content gets indexed much faster and get immediate ranking for the post.

Pinging can be enable from your Wordpress administration area.

Permalinks

By default Wordpress publishes a post like www.blog.yoursite.com/?p=13. However this does not give any idea about the post content or topic. By altering the permalink structure you make your URLs beautiful for your readers and search engines.

In your Wordpress administration area, click Options and then click Permalinks. Now you would see various choices under heading "Common Options" choose "Custom" and in the custom Structure field add this

/%category%/%postname%/.

This will make your URLs appear as www.yoursite.com/category/postname

Slugs

Post slugs allow you to insert atopic or keyword phrase into your URL. By default your post title becomes your post slug but you can alter that from post slug tab on right hand side column of your post writing area.

Changing your slugs to better keyword laden titles help in SEO.

God Luck wih your SEO efforts.

Keyboard Cash - Make Money Blogging For Others

By Angela Booth

Want to make a steady income writing? One of the easiest ways is by blogging for others. Discover how it works in this article.

Blogging involves writing articles. These articles may be as short as 100 words, or as long as 2000 words. As a pro blogger, you'll be asked to write articles - or "post" in blogging terminology - for a blog several times a week.

Who Hires You to Blog?

You'll usually be hired by companies rather than by individuals. Businesses have discovered the power of blogging, and hire bloggers either because they don't have the resources in-house, or because the blogger has special skills.

How Much Money Can You Make Blogging for Others?

That depends on who hires you. If you're hired by a small business with fewer than 100 employees, you'll make a reasonable amount. However, if you're hired by a corporation, you'll make a great income - $2 and $3 (or even more) PER WORD.

How Do You Get Started?

You start by developing your blogging skills. This means creating at least one blog of your own, and posting to that blog every day.

I've seen many writers try to short-cut the process and apply for blog jobs without creating their own blog, but this is foolish. If you can't show that you have good writing skills, and know how blogging works, the only blog jobs you'll get are those with tiny budgets - for $2 pr $5 per blog post.

I'm not against you working for minimal pay if this is what you need to do, but please realize that in the long term, these kinds of jobs will do you more harm than good. You'll never be able to use your blog posts for these minimal-pay blogging jobs as a stepping stone to something better.

So create your own blog, and learn how to blog proficiently. The more you know, the more you can charge. This means learning things like how to market your blog and get traffic; how to set up a WordPress blog on a domain; and how to create a blogging plan.

The time you spend on your own blog is an investment in your blogging future. Put bluntly: your blog shows how much you're worth as a blogger. It's the difference between being paid $2 per blog post, and being paid $10,000 or more a month by a big business to manage their blog.

Blogging is big, and it will get bigger. It's a way to make a great income writing for just a couple of hours a day. What's not to like?

Discover how to make money online by writing with Angela Booth's Sell Your Writing Online NOW at http://sellwritingnow.com/Home/training.html You'll learn how to write and sell articles, blogs, ebooks and Web sites for profit, and you'll get complete training in how the Web works, so you can take advantage of the unlimited opportunities.

Blogging - The Importance of Web Presence

By Alex Brookes

I was recently asked by a client of mine why he should use Wordpress blogs to promote himself and his business when he already has a website. He also asked what was it that he was meant to do with such a blog? I explained to him that although he has a website, what he is lacking is a web presence. This of course raised the question what is a web presence, and what has it got to do with setting up a blog? And these questions are what led to this article being created.

What is a web presence? Web presence is literally your online footprint. Every public profile you own on myspace, facebook, or anywhere else can be considered part of your web presence. Every website, web page, blog, squidoo lens, hubpage, all of it can be considered part of your web presence. All of these things should contribute something positive to your image, because on the internet (a vast digital mass of faceless nobodies) being upfront, sincere and trustworthy will make a significant difference to your bottom line.

Slapping together a blog is seen as nothing to many marketers today. Slap a blog up, add some adsense code, few affiliate links, and then pay some one from an economically challenged country to write a few three dollar articles to put on the blog. It seems simple, and like a great idea. Unfortunately, if your blog is doing nothing to enhance your online image and web presence, then you are leaving an amazing amount of money on the table. Having a variety of high quality well built blogs and web pages has to do distinct advantages.

The first is the "Search Engine Optimization" benefits. If you know anything about SEO then I don't need to tell you that having some quality pages and blogs pointing towards your site can dramatically increase your chances of being ranked highly in the all important search engines. More importantly than that though, is the credibility such a web presence creates. Your potential customers are much more likely to buy from you, if they feel that they know a bit about you, and if they feel like they trust you. It is for this reason that you should constantly over-deliver on promises, create high quality content-rich blogs, and really make an effort with your web presence.

How to Blog Your Way to a Better Income

By Al Carmona

Thousands of people are using their blogs to generate extra income. We'll show you how to get started.

1) What to Blog About

If you have a business website, blog about topics within your business. If it's more of a personal website or topic related, then use the blog to comment about your particular interests. Either way, a blog is most effective when used to convey the opinions of the author on any given subject.

2) Setup your Blog

Either install simple to use blogging software on your website such as WordPress, or go to sites like Blogger and Tumlr where they will host a blog for you. Make sure to name your blog and use your relevant keyword phrases within your blog name. Setting up an RSS feed for your blog allows publishers and readers to instantaneously gain access to your content as soon as you put it out there. With the blogging systems and websites that exist out there today, you can go all out with the type of content you want published on it. You could even have video on your blog with just a few clicks.

3) Fill it with content

The best way for generating blog content is to just voice your opinion regarding news and current events. Read the news and articles on the web and voice your opinion about what's going on in your particular topic. Voice your opinion. I'm sure that there are tons of other people that have the same interests as you and are looking for people that share the same values and opinions.

4) Let the world know about your Blog

Use social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Delicious to bookmark each one of your blog posts. This works to your advantage twofold. First by increasing the number of links to your website, which subsequently helps to improve your website's search engine ranking. Two, by sharing your blog posts with the entire social web 2.0 community.

5) Monetize your Blog

Find affiliate programs through Amazon, Commission Junction, Clickbank and other affiliate networks that relate to your niche market. Place advertisements on your blog pages for those affiliate programs. If someone happens to click on an advertisement on your blog and makes a purchase, then you will be rewarded with a commission. How much you make depends on how much traffic you could drive to your website and how good the affiliate program offers are.

These techniques work marvelously when you are selling your own products and services as well. Instead of referring business to an affiliate program merchant site, use your blog to make sales in-house.

Broadcasting Yourself to the World - How to Set Your Blog on Fire!

By Yousef M Julaidan

Even if you have a blog, still you need people to visit it right? It is more challenging than you think to make thousands flock everyday to read your blog especially with the millions of blogs online. To make things even harder, blogs don't have simple URLs or web addresses like websites. The blog URL usually is the name of the website hosting your blog then the name of your blog which turns up to be a very long URL.

Nevertheless, if there is a well there is a way! There are many effective techniques to use to promote your blog successfully. Some of these techniques are so simple that you will say to yourself why I didn't think of that. Here proven free ways of promoting your blog:-

1- Connecting with other blogs: - Blogs are a big community now. Even Google the biggest search engine has made a whole category by itself for searching for information in blogs. What I'm trying to say is you should connect with other blogs in the community to promote yours. You can visit other highly popular blogs and participate in discussions and make comments. Remember, every time you participate, leave your marks behind! Meaning a link to your own blog! Think of it as a piggy back approach. Also, other blog owners will be glad to put a link to your blog if you do the same.

2- Your email signature: - Let me ask you this, how many emails you send a day? Or a better question will be how many in a week? I can safely say, at least 10 emails a week. There is this small section at the bottom of every email that you send and called the signature. Of course you know it! Your name, address, phone and other contacts are there right. Add your blog address too! That's a free continuous advertising tool that you can benefit from. There is another nasty way that I don't like to use a lot, but sometimes I do! When I'm not checking my e-mail, I set up my vacation auto responder and place my personal message there plus an invitation to visit my blog! Spam the spammers!!

3- Web 2.0 anyone?: - That's another name for the social networking mega trend that is spreading on the internet like wildfire! Face book, My space, Squidoo, Dig, linkedin, Fubar, deliciousio, Buzznet and hundreds more. These social networking sites are just stacked full of people who want to see what others got! Every time you make an entry in your blog, share it with minimum 5 social websites! Just open accounts in 5 to 10 social networking sites and post in parallel with you blog. Don't forget to link to your blog!

4- Using blog directories:- Think of it this way, in this age, the internet is full of millions and millions of websites, blogs, social sites, forums, e-zines, article directories and the list goes on. Because of this, thousands of directories have been set up to lead people to these blogs, social sites, forums, e-zines, article directories etc. Yes you got it! Blog directories. Include your blog in blog directories, but wait there are so many. Pick the directories that rank high in Alexa ranking. Download Alexa toolbar to help you determine which ones rank higher than others.

5- Use newsletters to promote your blog: - You can actually do this in 2 ways. The first one is that many newsletters are looking for good and unique content. If you have good and unique content in your blog, a lot of these newsletters will gladly use your blog entries as content for their periodical mailings. Of course, they will reference the content back to your blog. The other way is to own a mailing list yourself and use your blog's content as the newsletter's content mentioning the blog with every mailing of course!

6- Using forums and online groups: - Forums and online groups are the closest relatives of blogs. You can easily connect with other people in forums and groups and invite them to your blog to view your thoughts and insights and they will gladly come.

One final important note, the better the quality of the content you have in your blog, the better your chances of getting people to like your blog and keep coming back. No matter how long you work hard to promote your blog, if you don't have good content that people will come back for, you will fail! Even search engines, which love blogs by nature, will not index your blog if it has low quality content.

Increase Traffic and Backlinks Through Blog Commenting

By Will Blears

If your concerned about the low amount of traffic you currently receive on your website, if your just looking to bump things up a bit increase visibility to your website or increase the amount of backlinks you currently have then you may want to try blog commenting.

Now before i start i want to say that whenever commenting on blogs you should always try and add something of use to the topic in hand either this or at least congratulate the author for their great work. Don't just put a useless comment which is obvious that you wrote it just for the traffic or backlink.

Blog commenting is a form of marketing, its a way of increasing traffic as well as being a way of building links to your website therefore it could probably be classed as a form of off page SEO as well.

The idea behind blog commenting is that you comment on other peoples blog websites to increase traffic. You maybe thinking, well i have been doing that for ages but i don't get any traffic from their websites. There are some tips and tricks behind blog commenting and these are some of my main tips.

1. Find 2-3 blogs that are related to your market.
2. Pick one username for every blog, perhaps the username used to post on your own blog, forums or social media sites.
3. Read their blogs daily not only for tips and information but so you can comment on each article they upload.
4. Add something of value to the article, perhaps ask a question or state your own opinion.
5. Try to be the first blogger to comment back, these are bound to get the most traffic.
6. Become a part of their community, speak your opinion, help others and make friends.

These are just some of my main tips for blog commenting, it is not easy to make yourself known however you can start by commenting on already popular blogs.

Blog commenting is an excellent way of increasing traffic not only this but some blogs do also allow do follow URL links which will mean you also receive a backlink from their website.

If you want to know more about blog commenting you can read my article which goes in depth in to the world of blog commenting.

How to Reverse the Zero Profit Spiral

By Wayne Brooks

Congratulations for taking the time to review, learn, and act on what you're about to discover from this here. The operative phrase here is "to review, learn, and act". If, after reviewing and learning what I'm about to share, you fail to act by taking the steps needed to realize the financial results you're looking for, then let's face it, you will have wasted one of the most valuable resources that there is...YOUR TIME, AND you'll be no better off financially for having read this report than you would be had you not read it.

If on the other hand, you do review, learn, take action you'll know exactly how to achieve the positive financial outcome that you've been looking for online. With that said, let's begin...

All business systems work on the same fundamental model of
Input -> Process -> Output

Consider the business process for any money making system (online or offline)
Input Process Output
Business Owners -> Invest to Acquire Goods and Services -> Goods and Services for Sale
Marketers -> Generate Interest in Goods and Services for Sale -> Consumer Interest
Interested Consumers -> Buy Goods and Services for Sale -> Business Owner Income
Business Owner Income -> Pay Business Expenses -> Profit to re-invest

Why is this model important for you to understand?

Because it illustrates some obvious but nonetheless significant points of truth when it comes to making money online or offline:

1. Business Owners use THEIR money to acquire and produce goods and services for sale

2. Marketers earn THEIR money through commissions from the sale of goods and services

3. Business Owner Income resulting from goods and services for sale being purchased is what pays marketer commissions and produces profit to reinvest in more goods and services

And the process repeats.

Now, I'd like you to notice something with regard to the business system model.
Notice WHEN everyone gets paid. Everyone gets paid WHEN an Interested Consumer makes a purchase. When an Interested Consumer makes a purchase the result is a Sale.

There's NO Secret.
There's NO Magic Button.
There's NO Whiz-Bang Technology.

Bottom Line: No one makes ANY money until a sale occurs.

As a business owner, the income from the sale of goods and services is at a price point sufficient to do the following:

ท Recover your initial investment, so you can re-invest
ท Pay commissions to marketers
ท Make you a profit to live the lifestyle you choose

As a business marketer, you have no investment to acquire and produce the goods and services for sale; however, you likely have expenses associated with advertising the goods and services for sale to potential consumers, and with the cost of being a marketer. Therefore, your commission from the sale of the business owner's goods and services that you represent must be sufficient to do the following:

ท Recover your costs to advertise to consumers (Just as the owner recovers
his/her initial investment)

ท Pay expenses associated with being a marketer (Marketing system, Continuing
Marketing Education) (Just as the owner pays commissions)

ท Make you a profit to live the lifestyle you choose

Now, it's important to notice here that the business owner passes the cost of advertising to consumers along to you the marketer, and as should be obvious by now, if the commission you receive on a sale is not sufficient to do all three things listed above, then what happens? Here's what happens...

YOU SLOWLY GO DEEPER AND DEEPER INTO THE DEBT HOLE UNTIL YOU GET FRUSTRATED AND COMPELLED TO TRY A NEW PROGRAM, ONLY TO HAVE THE SAME THING CONTINUE TO HAPPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN...WHY?

Because you fail to consider to two key things:

Revenue - the total amount of money for goods or services sold during a given time period.

Profit - The positive gain from a business operation after subtracting for all expenses.

So, if you never understood before
ท WHY most fail to make any significant cash online?
ท WHY most give up and jump to another program when the latest one isn't
working as expected?
ท WHY the latest and greatest system isn't doing it all for you like you thought it
would?
ท WHY you can never seem to make any SIGNIFICANT money even though
you're making a few sales?

Now you know...its THE PROFIT FACTOR.

So, if you've followed what I've presented so far then hopefully you've had an "AH HA!" moment.

AGAIN WHY?

Because NOW you should understand the following:

1. MAKING MONEY SIMPLY MEANS YOU'RE GENERATING REVENUE
2. IF ALL YOUR REVENUE GOES OUT THE DOOR TO COVER EXPENSES
YOU HAVE NO PROFIT
3. IF YOU HAVE NO PROFIT YOU HAVE NO POSITIVE CASH FLOW
4. WITHOUT POSITIVE CASH FLOW YOU HAVE...ZERO, NOTHING, NADA,
ZILCH!

So, how do you turn things around?

Here's how...
First, consider who's really cashing in every month from the program you're promoting. Is it the Business/Affiliate Program Owner (BAPO)?
OR
Is it YOU the Business/Affiliate Program Marketer (BAPM)?

THE ANSWER?

Well, if you said the Business/Affiliate Program Owner, you're right! WHY?
Because the Business/Affiliate Program Owner after recovering his/her initial
investment which can be reinvested again and again to drive the business cycle, any money left over not used for business reinvestment or to pay commissions is what...you guessed it...PROFIT.

What's more, because the BAPO likely has a small army of affiliates generating
revenue for him/her, in a given 30 day period the BAPO realizes profit from multiple sales, and if the BAPO effectively manages his/her costs, then KA-CHING, KA-CHING!

IS THERE A WAY FOR THE BUSINESS/AFFILIATE PROGRAM MARKETER TO CASH IN?
Absolutely! The Business/Affiliate Program Marketer can make an absolute killing by doing 3 simple things.

There are 3 things that the Business/Affiliate Program Marketer can do to reverse the ZERO PROFIT SPIRAL!

1. Focus on monthly revenue (sales commissions) exceeding monthly expenses
(advertising, marketing system, continuing marketing education costs)
2. Apply effective cost management and use profit centers to earn from
everything you do.
3. Increase your commission per sale.

What is Blogging and Should You Blog Too?

By Tracey Edwards

If you have just heard your friend brag about how she spent the weekend blogging, you are probably wondering to yourself exactly what is blogging?

Blogging is a term for writing in a special type of website called a blog. A blog is a type of online journal in which people can write their feelings, thoughts and opinions on any topic that they wish.

Starting a blog is very easy and you can usually set one up for free. It's actually one of the easiest and simplest ways for someone to get started online. When you sign up, you will get your own unique web address that you can send your friends too and they can comment directly on your site as well.

People love reading blogs because they are always interested in what someone else has to say about a certain topic, especially if it is something they themselves are passionate about. If you write about a popular topic you can often get quite a few people visit your site to read what you have to say. Those people could be from anywhere in the world!

The best types of blogs are usually ones where people write about something interesting and perhaps even a bit controversial. They are much more popular than those where you just talk about your everyday life or your what your cat did yesterday.

But they are not just about having your say on the web; blogging can also earn you a nice little income. Top bloggers can earn upwards of $1,000 per day, just by writing about things that other people want to know about. It has even been called the easiest way for a beginner to start earning money online because you don't need any special skills to set up a blog - if you can turn on a computer and write a sentence then you can do it too.

What is a Blog and Why Should You Have One?

By Tracey Edwards

Blog, from the word 'Web Log' is basically a special style of website in which you can write your own thoughts, feelings and opinions about anything that you wish. It is structured in a way similar to a journal in that it is organised by date, with the most recent entry showing first. If you have ever wanted to have a voice on the web then having a blog is one of the easiest ways to get started. Most are free and are all are very easy to get started with.

Once you have set one up and have started writing in it, you'll also be able to call yourself a 'blogger' and join millions of others of bloggers around the world. You can write about anything you wish. You could talk about your cat, your favorite television program or even state your political views. The only limit is your imagination.

Of course, while being able to publish your opinions online is great, the best thing about blogs is that they are very easy to make money from.

Adding money making features to your blog is usually just a simple matter of adding a 'widget' or a 'gadget' depending on which blogging provider you have chosen. And while that may sound very technical, most of the time it's just a few clicks of a mouse by following the instructions provided by your blogging host.

Search engines love them too because the content is usually updated so regularly and is unique to the owner since it is written in their own voice and includes their own spin on a topic.

Not only that, but people love reading them to see what someone else thinks about the topic at hand. They may even leave comments and you could build your own little fan base. Now that you know what a blog is, and why you should have one there is nothing stopping you creating your own voice on the web.

Did you know that thousands of people already make good money from blogging? Why not join them! Visit http://www.traceys-ebooks.com/blogcash to learn how to create a profit-pulling blog.

How to Blog - A Beginner's Guide to Getting Started and Earning Money

By Tracey Edwards

If you want to learn how to blog you'll need to first decide which blogging platform you are going to choose and secondly, and more importantly, what you are going to talk about.

There are many different blogging platforms but the two most popular are Blogger and WordPress.

Blogger is the simpler option for someone just starting out, although WordPress has much more advanced and customizable features and is usually the choice of the professional blogger.

Once you have chosen, it is usually just a matter of choosing a name for your blog and a template before you can get started writing your posts.

Blogging topics can vary from talking about your favorite television program to your political views, in fact if you can think about a topic, you can usually write about it too.

Trying to figure out what to write is more a question of narrowing down one of the many ideas you already have. But if you still can't decide you can always have more than one blog, in fact many people have multiple sites that they write about, each with its own unique topic.

Getting people to visit your site is the key to producing a successful blog and can often been the hardest part of blogging. The most successful sites usually write about topics that many people are interested in and are usually funny, newsworthy, controversial or provide key information that people are looking for.

Creating solid titles for your posts is one way to get people to find you online. If your title suggests a solution to the reader or creates enough interest then they are likely to click through and read what you have written.

The more people that visit your site means that you can start to add money making features such as AdSense advertising, or promoting products that earn you a commission so that you can start to earn an income from those people that visit.

Learning how to blog successfully will not only get yourself heard on the web but it may just help you earn some cash on the side as well.

Many people are already making good money from blogging - Why not be one of them! Visit http://www.traceys-ebooks.com/blogcash/ to learn how to create a blog that makes you money 24/7.

Blogging For a Living - A New Career?

By Tom Lindstrom

The internet has continuously grown and evolved over the years and it seems like there is something new and exciting coming up that is the new hit online. Blogs have been around for quite some time and it seems that blogging is the new trend of the internet. Can blogging be a new career?

Blogging for a living and running it as a career is possible and it has a number of benefits. Many people are blogging for a living because of how easy it is and how beneficial it can be for you and any business or web sites you may have.

Perhaps the best thing about blogging is that you have total control over what happens. You can say whatever you want, start any type of conversation you like, and change the direction of the conversation at any time. Many people like the freedom and ability to do whatever they feel like with blogs.

In addition, many like the fact that it is much less formal and more conversational. You can still act professional, but you do not necessarily have to be in sells mode the entire time. You can be more relaxed and just go with the flow. It may seem ridiculous that you can actually make money and make a living out of something so casual, but that is exactly what attracts so many people to this.

Part of having complete control with a blog comes the ability to customize the blog however you want. You can create whatever design you choose to, do whatever font and style you wish, and change the entire page however many times you want. Every blog is different, there is no one to tell you how to run your blog.

The biggest perk of them all, though, is the SEO elements that are related to blogging. This is where people are capable of doing this for a living. In order to optimize your blog for the search engines, you simply have to install and activate the appropriate SEO related plug-ins. These can help you climb up on the search engines and get your blog seen by hundreds of thousands of internet surfers.

When you have an audience, you are able to run your blog however you wish and by writing interesting blog posts people will come by to see what else you have to say.The best part about blogging is that it can be considered a career, but it is enjoyable at the same time. It seems more like a hobby than a job for most people. And for that very reason, people are blogging for a living more and more every day.

How to Get Steady Traffic to Your Blog

By Robert Paterson

Here is a tip for building up steady traffic to your blog. This one actually works and it will not cost you a penny.

Post to your blog every day for a month. Then in the following month, post something every week. After that, post once a month for three months.

I have seen this work in practice. It has worked for me and I can see no reason why it should not work for you.

Using this method, I started a blog on a free blogging platform, and from the day I began, I posted relentlessly every day on average until after a month I had just over 30 posts of original content. I selected the three articles I thought were the best quality and submitted them to an article directory. I have had no training in writing and I do not consider myself to be a particularly skilful writer. Yet by the end of the month the blog was getting a steady traffic of around 300 a day.

Of course, 300 a day is a fairly modest traffic count, say compared to amazon.com or bbc.co.uk, but it is not bad for a blog that has only been going for a month. Also the blog had no special features, it was giving away no free offers, it was not promising to change people's lives. But it attracted 300 a day. And to put this in perspective, if you have any Adsense on a blog, you will find on average that 1 in 10 visitors click on an ad, giving on average, roughly 10c a click, earning you $3 a day, or $90 a month.

Not much, you say? Remember though, that this is for an initial business outlay of exactly zero, zilch, nada.

But there is more to tell. I stopped posting on that blog about two months ago, and yet the blog is STILL getting a steady stream of visitors. On AUTOPILOT. It is doing this without needing any work from me. Occasionally I have a look at the blog stats. If it dips below a certain figure, I post a new article, or even leave a comment on one of my own posts! Sure enough the traffic rises again.

Now the other great thing about this method is that when I was working on getting the blog going, I did not feel like it was work! This is because I was just writing as though I was talking to someone. I did not feel anxious about whether my writing was skilled or stylish, I did not have to convince a publisher. I was able to just say what I thought and believed. Many SEO "experts" will try to tell you about this technique or that technique, but at the end of the day, simply coming right out and saying what YOU think is still probably the best way to get noticed, even on the huge ocean that is the internet.

Also I think it helps if you are talking about about something you are interested in. The blog I am talking about was actually on what you might call a "minority" niche, that is, where a fairly small percentage of the population would be interested, but those people would be VERY interested.

It may also be an important factor that the content of the post is original work. There has been much talk about whether or not the search engines favor originality. In my view, this question has not yet received a satisfactory answer, so more experiment is needed in order to test it.

You may be asking why everyone isn't using the above method if it works so well. The answer is that it requires patience, and from the evidence I see around me, most people do not have a great store of that virtue. You will not see instant results with this method. That is why most people give up and try some get-traffic-quick scheme or other.

I encourage you to experiment also. Using a free blogging platform, as I did, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Let us know how you get on by leaving a comment at one of the blogs whose links are given below.

All the best!

Why Choosing a Blog Topic is Important

By Larry McCullough

Blogging is an excellent and inexpensive way to start a home-based business. You can start a blog nearly free of charge or for very little money. Blogging allows individuals to couple their own personal expression with making money. It is very simple to set up a blog and there are various platforms that you can use. Blogger.com is a free blogging platform that is available for everyone. They offer lots of great tools and you can get you up and running rather quickly.

You may also use a Wordpress blog. This will require you do more of the grunt work, however, the finished product can be quite impressive and fully customized. Some hosting companies have special software that will help you create your Wordpress blog rather easily. However, adding plug-ins will be something they you have to do yourself. A Wordpress blog is a little more involved. However, one of the major benefits is that it is your blog. You own it. The same does not hold true for blogs generated from Blogger.com. They can come in and shut your blog down or freeze it whenever they want to. Therefore, you could lose your business overnight. This is a very important consideration when you are deciding which blog platform to use.

Besides choosing what type of blogging platform you want to use, choosing your blog topic will be the most important decision that you have to make. In this article, we will talk about how to go about selecting a blog topic.

It is possible to blog on just about anything. Almost any topic can be a winner. You will however, want to think about choosing a topic that interests you since you will be writing the content. However, it's not impossible to create a blog on a subject that you have very little personal interest in or have any knowledge of. You can simply outsource the writing of your blog content or purchase PLR articles which you can rewrite into blog posts. Find a topic that people are willing to spend money on. Some indicators of successful, moneymaking topics include those that have magazines, books or products dedicated to them. This will give you some idea what people are willing to spend their money on.

You will also want to find a topic that has a good amount of followers. It really will be of no benefit to you if you don't have people who are interested in what you are blogging about. Monetization is also important. You have to choose a topic that can be monetized. Check and see if the subject has available affiliate products? Does it lend itself to writing an e-book about?

If you have absolutely no idea in regards to blog topics, consider Internet marketing. This is always a huge market because many people are interested in working from home from the Internet. However, this topic is pretty crowded, and it is competitive.

Pets are another great topic. People love their pets and there are a lot of different subtopics that you can focus on. Hobbyists are another good group to target. People really get into their hobbies and are willing to spend money on them. You can sell books, supplies or how-to guides on your blog.

Games and gaming system are another hot topic. People are willing to spend money for games and game systems. These systems are getting more expensive than ever and so your commissions are likely to be pretty substantial.

These are just a few hot blog topics. This article was designed to help you choose a topic to blog about. Again, you want to consider something that either interests you or is able to make you a profit. You want to make sure that there are an ample amount of followers and that the subject can be monetized.

6 Things to Become a Successful Online Writer

By Krishnankutty Ayyan

Here are some of the things you can consider while writing blogs. This may not be the complete list but I feel these few to be very important when you start writing a blog.

Don't wait until you feel like writing

Yes, don't wait, write even when you don't feel like it, because, most times you won't and this is where most bloggers fail. Collect all your notes and if you still don't get any topic to write search the web, go through local magazines and am sure you will get one and then sit in front of your PC and draft something. It doesn't have to be any good at first. What's important is to write.

Write everyday

Set an achievable target for doing this. Even if it's only half an hour a day at first you must stick to it no matter whatever happens. Choose your time of day. Initially it will be tough but don't stop writing and after sometime it will become a habit.

Schedule your writing time

Schedule the time as little as half an hour a day. Believe me, the words will add up and you have the post ready.

Be Persistent

To become successful at anything is about prioritizing those things you think important in your life and being persistent at achieving them. Have a writing schedule that works for you and take it seriously. Write even when you are lazy; later you'll be thankful! And be persistent.

Catchy Writing

The most important part of your piece when it comes to online writing is the opening of your post. If you don't draw the reader in from the beginning, the reader will click away and probably never return.

Write in advance

Even following through all the above tips sometimes you don't have anything to write and your readers are expecting to see a new post because you set an expectation (it could be posting daily, once in two days etc...). I would not want my readers to get disappointed and go away from my blog just like that. So, I write couple of posts in advance when I am in mood to write and keep them in draft mode, and then all I need to do is to publish one every day. So may be in a week you can take the first two days to write for the whole week and then spend rest of the week in promoting your blog. That way you get enough time and won't disappoint your readers.

Above all write things that make you comfortable and over a period of time you will have a winning blog.

Here is to your blogging success!!!

Blogging For Newbies - Things to Know Before You Set Up a Blog

By John Gotidoc

Blogging can be fun and rewarding. But let's face it. Most of the people who set up a blog site don't even make it past the one month mark. What happens to their blog? Nothing. It becomes another statistics among the long list of forgotten blog sites. The two main reasons: lack of time and lost of interest. There are two reasons why people set up a blog: to share their knowledge and to earn money - the latter being the most popular reason and that's what these tips are focused on. If you are a newbie and is thinking of setting up your own blog to monetize later, the following tips may help you save a lot of frustrations.

  • Know your topic. If you're a beginner, make sure you already know what to write for before you even attempt set up your own blog. A lot of newbies will set up a blog, write different topics that come to mind, and then abandon their site after a week or a month because they lost interest in their topic. Write what you like. Write what you know. If want to create a blog for a particular subject that you are not familiar with, do a thorough research first. Document all the things you did while learning the subject then post those as your initial blog articles.

  • Content is important. Make sure you have a fresh supply of interesting and readable content to create a readership and not just some trashy article. When you start a blog, make it a point to write an article or two everyday. Don't copy and paste from other sources as you may infringe someone else's copyrights. If you can't write that many article, at least write four new articles every two or three days or let someone else write it for you like hiring a freelance copywriter. This will be for traffic building. After a month or two, you could reduce the quantity to about 1-3 articles per week. That is, if you are blogging for a profit. Although there are tools out there that can generate content for your website automatically (and mind you, they're not free), I still suggest writing your own articles. If you are writing for a hobby, then I think this tip is an exception, although it is a good practice.

  • Design is important. Although from a personal point of view, content is more important, a good design adds visual authority to your content. That is, if you want to get people to be interested in your blog, you must deliver a lasting first impression. Humans are visual creatures. If the website design is bad, people will just hit the Back button almost immediately. Humans also have a very short attention span especially online so make sure your website design (or blog theme as we call it) is simple yet attractive.

  • Learn basic HTML. Yes, HTML or HyperText Markup Language. Whether you like it or not, somewhere at some point you would need at least a basic knowledge of HTML, particularly if you are going to setup a hosted blog. If you're like other people who think HTML is difficult, don't worry - it's not. If you don't have time to study, then find some time to do so. Blogging is a lot easier if you know HTML. Trust me. I highly recommend this, although it's not necessary when you start up a blog.

  • Devote some time. If you are planning to make money from your blog, I suggest you start planning on how much time you are going to devote to maintaining your website. Otherwise, you will just be wasting precious time (not to mention money) on an endeavor that you will not be reaping any benefit afterwards. If you are going to do blogging on a part-time basis (yes, blogging is a full-time job for many), one to three hours of your daily life committed to maintaining and promoting your blog will be enough.

  • Prepare to spend some money. Even though I am an advocate of free information, chances are, you will find your way at some point where you need to buy something (like a software) that will help boost your website traffic. That's a fact.

How Can I Start a Blog

By John Domenico

Many people ask, how do I start a blog? Well firstly, do you know what one is? Just to clarify with you, a blog is a personal/business web space where you can make unlimited posts or entries to it (much like in a diary), that appear in latest chronological order, which also allows for reader comments (interaction). Now, you know exactly what it is, here are the free resources that will allow you to create one.

Most blogging software websites will allow you to either create a space with the the blog software name in the domain or you can purchase a cheap domain and host the blog software on your own web host provider. I do recommend the latter as, that allows you to have a professional looking web address such as myblog.com, rather than myblog.blogsoftware.com or blogsoftware.com/myblog.

Here is a list of the best blog softwares out there. Just type one of the names below in Google search, and they will come up as the first result. There you can sign up and start creating a blog quite easily, even now if you wish.

Here is the list -

  • Wordpress (most customizable, and my number one recommendation)
  • Typepad
  • Blogger
  • Squidoo
  • Hubpages

Of course, there are many more around, but these are by far the best, most well known and easiest to start with. All have very good official instructions and help, but also provide a stack of other external resources and help from other users that should see you in good sted for creating a value packed blog.

The best part about running a blog is that you can even start to make money from it. This is just once of many benefits of running a blog. So now you know the answer to "how can I start a blog", maybe it's time you start writing about your passion today!

How a Blog Can Increase Your Popularity in a Niche and Increase Your Sales

By Jamie Holt

A blog is not only great for the search engines, it is fantastic for exposing your personality and allowing people to see the person behind the sales pages. If you are well versed in a niche it makes complete sense to have a blog on the topic. Doing this allows you two perfect options for exposure:

1. People in your niche can interact with you through the comment feature on your blog which shows that you are ready and available for any questions or concerns they may have.

2. Running a blog with daily updated content shows that you are knowledgeable on a topic and displays your authority in a way that connects it with your personality.

People love to buy from other people that they like and trust. Doing this with a blog can be very easy because let's face it, you are doing the research anyway so you can then put that to good use with a blog that is regularly updated. This not only serves as your own personal platform but it actually increases your readers interest.

Many potential customers may have a little interest in a product/industry, and then after seeing your daily blogging they can increase their awareness of other things in a market which can make them more open to what you are recommending and offering. This in turn conveys your whole message and concept through a totally different format. Your site visitors get to absorb the information in a more comfortable way than the general sterile format of a website and information pages.

Writer's Block - How to Get Back Into The Flow

By Guy Artuso

Staring at a flashing cursor on a blank page can be a challenging position to find oneself in, and is a situation that all writers have found themselves in at one time or another. Before it gets to the point where you're feeling like Jack Nicholson in 'The Shining,' here are a few tips to help you get back into flow:

1) Go outside and get some fresh air. That big, bright shiny thing in the sky is called 'the Sun,' and it will make you feel better. Whether it's a bike ride through the country, a brisk walk downtown, a gentle stroll down a forest path, or just some puttering around in the garden, the outdoors has always been a natural balm for the weary, and you might even witness something that gets your creative juices flowing again.

2) Put on some music. Something a little out of the ordinary may be just the prescription here. Find something with a Moroccan vibe or some classical piece that you're not familiar with, close your eyes and let the sound massage your brain. You might imagine a scene or story unfolding as you journey off into unexplored territory.

3) Just start typing / writing. Even if it's just, "Hey, I don't know what to write about, and I'm feeling a little 'mentally constipated' here." Seeing your feelings expressed in words can sometimes provide the spark you need to get your train back on the right track again. Just take a few deep breaths and hit some keys.

4) If you have a large body of information that needs to be conveyed, and you're feeling daunted by the task, try 'chunking' it down into manageable, bite-sized pieces. This not only makes it easier for your reader to grasp once it's published, but also enables you to get your mind around your message in digestible portions.

5) Take a break. As in suggestion #1 above, getting away from the blank screen or yellow pad can do wonders for you. Even if you choose not to go outside, sometimes just watching some television (not too much, though!) or working a Sudoku puzzle, or spending some time with family members or a beloved pet is all it takes to blow away the cobwebs and restart your 'creative hard drive.'

The bottom line with any of these suggestions is taking some sort of action. As we have in all likelihood learned from other experiences in our lives, action cures fear. Even if the action is outside of our comfort zone, or seems like the opposite of taking action, once we have made that magical connection between thought and action, miracles can happen!

How to Make Money Blogging

By Dock J Murphy

You can find out how to make money blogging with an affiliate module where it is explained how you can partner with online stores or publish advertising. You can also discover how to start a blogging business by creating your own products and selling them, or by reselling Clickbank products or even physical products that you buy wholesale for this purpose. If you want to maximize your income and truly learn How to Make Money with Blogs you will want to find an affiliate program to join. You can sell anything from office furniture, pet supplies, movies and clothing to PC games, Dieting tips and Audio software.

The affiliates that join can be anyone, and they will make money when they manage to attract someone to the advertiser's website and generate a sale. This is a win-win situation for everyone involved. You can also include a good affiliate offer in your sidebar. Any product will do that is related to the topic of your blog. For example, some affiliate programs allow you to use text links. A code embedded in the link identifies your site as the origin of the click.

The key to making money from blogs is to create a lot of fresh, unique comments (content) that drive new traffic but also returning users who come to read more of what you are writing. To keep blogs updated requires people blogging on their behalf. You need to build traffic to your blog. Now if you want more traffic (more people) to go to your content, you want to post it on Digg. What you have to do, is waiting until something is published and then clicks the share button on the content.

I realize that not everyone understands how social media marketing can affect a websites page rank, traffic and sales. Content is an extremely valuable resource to all webs. The blogger must apply to Text Link Ads and can be turned down if the blog gets too little traffic. TLA pays a fixed rate that's based on the blog's traffic and page rank. Flagship blogs should have a large audience as well as high daily visitor traffic numbers.

However, starting a blog and being passionate about blogging long term are two totally different things. Well, leaving useful and interesting comments on other people's blogs can be a start. People will be interested in meeting you if you seem knowledgeable and nice because other people in the blogging community want to be friends with someone who is easy to deal with. If you have wanted to start your own WordPress blog but not sure how to get it all set up, the process is rather simple.

To Get Maximum Exposure, You've Got to Know How to Ping Your Blog

By Dennis Francis

One of the most overlooked means of getting promotional leverage in blogging is the act of pinging your latest blog post. Pinging is one of those geek terms that you come across in an article and brush it off a more techno-speak. Unfortunately for you this is a very important point in your blog strategy so pay close attention.

In blogging, ping is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism. This is an action that occurs when a blog tells a server that its content just got updated. An XML-RPC signal goes out to one or a few "ping servers". This signal generates a list of blogs that have updated content on them.

There are different kinds of ping servers depending on the blog system you're using. There are open ping servers and proprietary ping servers. Some open ping servers, like VeriSign's, let other web-services subscribe to a list of blogs that just recently pinged them. Newly updated blogs then are picked up by blog search engines after they send out their signal. Subscribers also get the message when their favorite blogs are updated.

Proprietary ping servers get and distribute information only for their own applications. Most of the major blog search engines operate proprietary ping servers. That's because they want to serve their customers efficiently. There is no incentive to share their ping data with other servers.

If you are on a proprietary ping server, you'll have to ping a number of individual servers to get the kid of publicity you want. So what you'll need to do is get a hold of one of the online ping services, which pings multiple proprietary ping servers.

Ping services - tell search engines that your blog has new publications. After ping, search engine robots quickly crawl your new articles to index them. Each blog application will allow you to add ping services to it for manual ping operation.

Manual Ping

The manual method of pinging Google is to simply go to http://blogsearch.google.com/ping and enter your blogs URL every time your blog is updated.

Automatic Ping

If you want Wordpress to automatically ping Google every time you update your blog, then you will need to add http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2 to your Update Services box in your Wordpress admin area. Each blog application will be a little different but they will give you an option for manual and automatic pinging.

Get pinging after each post for maximum exposure. You will need to check to ensure that you are reaching everyone on the web. Go to Technorati to register your blogs and track your popularity. You can't afford to overlook ping process, no matter how geeky it sounds.

I Don't Have Time to Blog

By Darrell Mishler

Ok, I'll go along with that statement. As a small business owner, often times days are 18 hours long and you really don't have time to create a blog, add articles and content. All the blog activity will take some amount of time per week to maintain.

You already have a program in place to advertise your business using news papers, flyers, maybe even radio spots. You branding has already included your web site. Another avenue to advertise your business is via the opportunity to blog. Blogging is another relatively inexpensive means to promote your business niche. Who better than you to know about what is going on in your world? The expense occurred is that of time, no dollars and cents.

What do I write about? Only you know what goes on in your small business and take from that experience what you need to generate small articles. If you work in a business that has solutions, a frequently asked questions blog is ideal. Discuss your latest trends and products that are being sought by your customers. Day to day operations should give you ideas of what to write about.

A blog doesn't have to be updated everyday, but once or twice a week is preferable. New articles or content published will allow you to add your signature and a short bio. Just adding your signature and business web address will add another link in the natural web search strategy. The more links to your business web site, the more important your web site is to the search engines. The more important your web site is to search engines, the higher in the search results your web site is, the higher your web site is, the more customers will find you.

This is part 1 of a 2 part post - the next post will contain things that you don't want your blog to contain. For more information and a lot of expertise on blogging, Search the internet for "blogger forums". There are about a million results and the first page contains a lot of forums that can help answer questions about blogging.

Video Blogging - How Can You Use It?

By Corey R Geer

Blogging is such a powerful tool now a days and millions of blogs are built monthly. Whether it's a blog made for stories, product reviews, information or etc. A not so new common trend though called Video Blogging is something I can see being hugely profitable if it's done right. The one question that comes to my mind though when I think of blogs solely built on videos is how you can use these blogs to make profit.

Video Blogging is not necessarily new, but it's definitely one of the most least common blogs you'll run into because most people are camera shy or they just don't know how to use the power of video marketing to their advantage. If you take a look on YouTube or other popular video sharing websites, you'll see of the most ridiculous/silly videos that have the most views and the best ratings, and while I think people have a weird sense of humor sometimes, the power of video marketing and blogging combined is endless.

So if you're asking yourself how you can use the power of videos to your own advantage then first you need to figure out a couple of things. What is your blog centered around and what exactly kind of information does it share? Are people looking for solutions on your blog or looking for something specific? You can make videos to address these kind of issues and keep visitors on your page much longer than reading traditional boring text.

People love videos and that will never change, because people like myself, find reading to be dull and I find it easier to follow a voice and image than just plain text. Though, the people that do prefer reading over videos will still be drawn in by videos because videos are just interesting to see.

Just simply post a video of informational value or showing how to do something. People love these informational type videos when they're being taught, and it's easier just to keep things as simple as possible and make the videos idiot proof when you're showing people how to do a specific thing. As long as you keep uploading videos showing people informational value and attracting their interest, word will spread and you will become a huge next hit if you stay consistent with it and post the right kind of information.

Make Money Online - The Pros and Cons of a Blog

By Corey R Geer

There are virtually almost unlimited ways of making money online and one of them just happens to be with a blog. Blogs are are powerful tool if they're used right but they're a lot harder to sell in my opinion than a sales page because most people read blogs looking for useful information and not a specific product. Just like everything else in the world, blogs have their pros and they have their cons.

Pro - Blogs are easy to maintain and if they're updated on a regular basis search engines will love them and will give you plenty of attention.

Con - A lot of people think blogging is an easy way to generate cash and it is not easy by far. Some people can own a blog for up to a year and never see a dime in profit.

Pro - Blogs allow the use of their powerful tool the subscription list and it is just like having your very own email subscribers list. Once a post is made on your blog, every single person on your subscribers list will receive a notification that you've made a new post and this in my opinion, is one of the most powerful tools on a blog.

Con - Unlike a sales page that has just one job to do and that's to sell a specific product, it is much harder to sell or affiliate for a product on a blog because most people read blogs for useful or information on a certain subject and not to be sold products. For this reason it is much harder to generate cash by selling products on a blog rather than simply setting up a sales page and selling a product.

Those are just to name a few of the ups and downs of owning your own blog versus having a website. It all depends on what you want to do with your website and what your goals and plans are for the site you own because each one has it's different uses and in my opinion, blogs are more profitable in the long run but by no means is this a quick process.
