Does Your Internet Home Business Have a Blog?

By William Preston

When it comes to running an internet home business, it is vital you do anything you can to separate yourself from the rest of the competition. There are a number of things you can do to better yourself and your business, but having a blog connected to your site can do a lot for you.

One problem that can be hard to get around when running an internet business is getting stuck labeled as just another small business owner. The last thing you want to do is hide behind your business name and never connect with visitors and customers. That is just one of the many benefits to having a blog.

When you have a blog, you have the ability to get out and interact with visitors away from your business. You can open up and show people your true side as oppose to them just thinking of you as another entrepreneur running a business. Over time, you will gain the respect you deserve and the trust that you want.

Another advantage to having a blog for your internet home business is the ability to listen to what other people have. While it is your blog and you have the power to lead the conversations, you can also sit back and read what kinds of ideas and thoughts other people have. You will find that many people have questions on certain ideas, which allows you to find the answers and present them in your next blog posting.

When posting yourself, you can show people that you know what you are talking about. If you are going to have a blog for your internet business, you want to make sure to post at least once a day. Any less than this is just a waste of time. The more you post, the more you will find people coming back to read what else you have to say.

Lastly, having a blog allows you to throw in information about specials or new products you will be selling. The great thing about having a blog is that you can get away from being a small business owner. But this does not mean you cannot still promote your business from time to time. Every once in awhile drop a posting about a special you are running or details on a new product that you feel will greatly benefit people.

There is no question that having a blog connected to your internet home business is becoming a must. More and more people are creating blogs for obvious reasons as you can benefit greatly from having one for your business.

All About the Traffic Blog

By Steven Lam

Traffic only means that the content is not that good. However, there are also instances wherein a great blog does not have enough traffic. The key in getting traffic is to come up with a strategy and make everyone notice your blog. There are a few things that you need to consider with regards to generating traffic to your blog and these are not that different from planning a regular Web site.

The only exception is that blogs can generate traffic a lot faster. What you only need to consider first is your target audience and where exactly you are generating your blog's traffic.

The Content

  • The content of your blog is very important. It is the reason why people visit your blog. Try to make your blog interesting and learn to master the ideas included in your blog. The content should also be relevant and of high value to the audience. Find out what your audience wants and if what you are writing satisfy them.

  • The content is especially important if you are planning sales from your blog. Firstly, you must become a trust-worthy and credible source of information before people try the product. Blogs are excellent medium for sales since they allow you to connect and converse through the use of the content. You must realize that without a great content, your blog cannot fully achieve power and leverage against others.

  • In order to gain audience for your content, remember not to publish infrequently. Additionally, do not criticize others if you do not have facts to support your claim and references for those facts. If you criticize, do it in an objective non-personal manner. What you can do is to publish often and make sure that the entry you are about to publish is meaningful and of high-value. Lastly, be yourself to help your audience relate to you but do not reveal any private information.

The Ping

  • Some bloggers take the extra mile just to ping and do not solely rely on the blog software pings. The blog software pings' job is to update the servers for the purpose of announcing your content updates. Search engines and blog directories then checks these update servers for the latest updates; this is the reason why your blog's content gets into search engines quickly.

  • Pings make blogs excellent search engine optimization tools. There are even instances where it only takes a day before your content gets into search engines. However, your blog's content will only take hours to a few days to get into most search engines, on average.

  • When starting a blog, always check the instructions included. There might be section wherein you can turn on the blog software ping automatically, which activates on the background. By doing so, whenever you publish content in your blog, it will instantly transmit ping updates.

  • RSS feeds are also important. Not only will you be able to publish your content within a short duration but also replicate your content through the use of your RSS feed. Nowadays, the flow of your content is real-time and the RSS allows you to show your content to a wider audience.

There are several ways to promote your blog. However, keep in mind that there is no strategy for quick money when it comes to profitable blogging. It requires dedication, time, a strategy for the content and patience before the cash starts flowing in.

Build Traffic and Brand Awareness by Buying Blog Reviews

By Shane Hester

If you do business online, then you undoubtedly know the power that bloggers have. They can influence sales with just a few keystrokes, sometimes starting a global trend almost effortlessly.

If you've ever wondered how to use that power to your business' advantage, you're not alone. Businesses around the world use blogging in some way to increase their exposure and their sales. Many businesses have their own blogs, while others simply read blogs as a way of conducting market research.

One of the most controversial uses of blogs in business is buying blog reviews. The concept is simple enough: good reviews on other people's blogs means positive increases in your business. To gain some credibility and a loyal following, some businesses pay for bloggers to write glowing reviews about them.

Paying for blog reviews is not only about building brand recognition and exposure. It's also about gaining links and dominating the search engine results for your particular keywords.

Is buying blog reviews ethical? It depends on who you ask and how you go about it. If you are purchasing links to your site outright, you will be flagged and penalized by the search engines. This is a prohibited practice that can have extremely negative implications for you. However, if you are experiencing challenges in building brand awareness or in getting honest opinions from consumers, buying blog reviews may give you the break that you need.

Think of blog reviews as a type of market research. By asking a blogger to use your website or product and review it honestly, you can gain valuable insight for a much lower cost than that of conducting an actual market research study.

If you decide to buy blog reviews, it pays to know how to go about it discreetly. Although you may have the best of intentions for buying blog reviews, your customers (or potential customers) may be turned off by the knowledge that you have paid for reviews.

There are several blog review services out there that cater to businesses looking to buy blog reviews. They can get you in touch with bloggers who are willing to write reviews. However, this should be approached with some caution. The reviews resulting from these transactions will most likely sport a disclaimer at the bottom saying that the blogger was paid for their services.

Another option is to approach bloggers directly. Find a blog in a niche that complements your own, and ask the author for their honest opinion of your site or service. Often, bloggers are more than happy to review your product if you send them a sample or demo.

However you choose to buy blog reviews, encourage the blogger to write naturally. Don't provide them with a script or with instructions that don't allow much personal interpretation. If the paid review looks and feels like a paid review, the chances are that it won't have the effect you had hoped for. Aim for an organic feel and let the blogger express their honest opinion about your site or product.

While it remains a controversial and oft-maligned practice, buying blog reviews can genuinely give your business a boost when it is most needed. It's not easy to break through the noise and build your brand online. Buying a few reviews can grow your brand awareness to the point that you start getting unsolicited reviews. That is the ultimate payoff for your hard work.

Get More Traffic For Your Blog

By Robert Paterson

Many people would like to get more traffic for their blog. But how can this be achieved? Here is a method that has worked for me.

There are absolutely tons of gurus and "experts" on the internet nowadays, telling you about this technique or that technique of SEO, or about some software that will explode your website traffic figures to make you a billionaire by next Tuesday, without you having to lift a finger. It seems to me that most of their methods are just wishful thinking or made-up stuff. It is also very interesting that most of them involve some cash outlay by you, which cash goes into the pockets of the guru.

I have found a way of generating a steady stream of traffic to your blog. This method will almost certainly not give instant results, but it will give solid results in terms of increased traffic over a reasonably short period of time.

And the beauty of it is, you will not have to lay out so much as a single penny. Not to me, not to anyone.

This is how it works. First you start a blog on one of the free blogging platforms, such as wordpress.com or blogger.com. Add some AdSense and maybe a few affiliate links. These can be fairly unobtrusive, they do not have to jump out into the reader's face. In fact it is probably better if they do not. Once you have your blog set up, post one article per day on the blog for a month. At the end of the month, you will have a blog that has about 30 posts, and you will be getting a modest but steady stream of visitors.

In the second month, post one article every week. Then in the following three months, post an article on the blog each month. After this time, your traffic should be flowing in at a constant rate, and it will thereafter run on autopilot. Check the blog stats occasionally. If it starts to dip, just post another article and the traffic will rise again. You can even bring up the traffic by adding a comment in your name as a kind of update on one of your own posts!

I know that all of this works, because I have done it myself. This is not a made-up thing, it is a proven method.

Experience seems to indicate that the blog should be focussed, that is, that the articles should all be on pretty much the same subject or topic. This is often described as "blogging to a niche". People say that you should do this so your readers are clear on what the blog is about, but that is not the reason at all. Your readers do not mind one way or the other. The reason for the focus is so that the SEARCH ENGINES know what the blog is about, because search engines LOVE categories. So if you are interested in a lot of different things, why then, start a lot of different blogs!

When I tried this method out the first time, at the end of the first month the blog was getting around 300 visitors a day. Now if you have AdSense, you will get roughly 1 in 10 visitors clicking on an ad, each one generating an income of about 10c a click for you, giving you $3 a day or $90 a month. Now that may not sound like very much, but remember that this is for an initial cash outlay of absolutely nothing. And once the blog reaches the autopilot stage, you are getting cash for doing nothing at all. Leaving you free to do what you want. Maybe start another blog?

Now, I am not going to try to sell you an ebook, or even give you an ebook worth $97 absolutely FREE, in return for you adding yourself to my mailing list so I can send you a whole string of pointless emails that try to sell you something you do not want. Once you have tried the method above, you will be able to write your own ebook. So leave the gurus and "experts" to it. They cannot even agree among themselves. The biggest secret, which is really no secret, is that you need to have patience, and experiment, experiment, EXPERIMENT!

Blogging - What's New?

By Pat Marcello

The question I'm most often asked by my coaching clients about blogging is, "What am I going to write?" And because of this block in their thinking, they often shy away from having a blog at all.

Yet, blogs are the best way to communicate with your list. And... they're also awesome ways to get traffic.to your money site--the place where you make money. It can be your own website or an affiliate site. It really doesn't matter. An effective use of blogging for business is a very smart investment of your time and effort.

You see, search engines love blogs because blogs have RSS feeds. These feeds convert your blog posts into plain text, and is why when you subscribe to an RSS feed, you need a feed reader. Without one, the blog content looks like a jumbled mess of letters. There are no images, no code, and no formatting. Feeds are just pure words.

Search engine spiders love feeds because they aren't fettered by the limitations of the human eye. Spiders can breeze over the jumbled text very quickly and understand what the feed means. So, if you use the right keywords in your post, the spider will see them, and quickly learn what your post is about. This gives you a leg up with search. In fact, if you post with your keyword in mind, while keeping your posts readable and enjoyable, you can rank almost instantly in Google.

So, back to, "What is there to write?"

Blogging ideas are all around us. Surf the web for your niche and find interesting sites. Interview the site owners and use the interviews as blog posts. Record the interviews on a bridgeline like The Basement Ventures at TheBasementVentures.com, where you can get an .mp3 of your interview and just embed it into your blog.

Make a video with your web cam or flip cam. Or, you can report something cool that you find in the news and put your slant on it. This is very easy to do because there's a very powerful way to get news about your niche, and it comes straight from Google.

All you have to do is to set up a news "Alert" at Google, and you can have items mailed to any email address you wish. Then, you just take those stories and turn them in to blog posts. Rewrite the information in the news item and bang! You have a blog post, and depending on your niche, this could be every single day.

The first thing to do is to go to Google News at http://news.Google.com. In the left-hand sidebar, you'll see a hyperlink that says, "News Alerts." On that page, you just type in a general keyword for your niche, and Google will deliver the alerts to your inbox. You can have them as they occur, daily, or weekly. However, if your niche is very busy--say sports, for example--you could get a ton of email! So, set the alert, and if you need to go back and change the frequency of the messages you receive, you can do that whenever you want.

This is a great way to get your blog posts started! Find an interesting news story and describe what happened and add your thoughts about the situation. And here's the cool thing: If you post to your blog every day, you'll get tons of subscribers coming to you for up-to-date information. In the case of medicine or health and wellness, for example, this could be very desirable, and there are many niches where this could apply.

But don't allow not knowing what to write stop you from having a blog! Google Alerts is a great way to keep those creative juices flowing and for you to keep on blogging. So, set up your alert today and see how easy it is to make your blog a success!

How to Build Sustainable Traffic to Your Blog Through Comments

By Oussama Messaoud

Blogging is all about socializing. A blog that doesn't generate interest and initiate discussions on the topics it covers, cannot claim to be a very successful blog. This main characteristic of blogs is achieved through the comments that readers post as a reaction to a published article.

Comments can bring complementary information on a matter and express a different point of view. It can also bring you traffic. In my blog readings, I often come across posts that are giving tips about getting more traffic/exposure. One thing that everyone agrees on and keep on coming as a great way to drive visitors to your blog, is commenting on others'. In fact, it's a very efficient (and free) way. Here is how you can get the most out of it:

(1) Look for blogs that you find interesting. You are more likely to have something to say about things that interest you. We are not talking about commenting just for the sake of leaving a link. That would be more like spamming, and people won't be eager to visit your blog if they don't find your comment interesting. Ideally you will teach them something in the comment already and they will be willing to visit your blog to learn more, because they will see you as an expert in that particular field.

(2) Leave comments whenever you think you have a point, even if you think it's not of a great value. As long as it's relevant to the topic, it may be of a help for another reader. Again, never comment just for the sake of commenting. It would bring the opposite effect.

(3) Try to write on blogs that deal with the same topic as yours. That would bring targeted visitors to your blog that are more likely to become loyal readers and ensure a regular and stable traffic in the future. I don't exclude the option of writing on blogs that talk about different things than you. It can bring short term traffic, and you may want that. I am just saying that the first option brings a more long-term traffic.

(4) Be involved in discussions. Don't just leave one comment and run. People may not want to visit your blog when they first see your comment, but when they read your name several times, they get familiar with it and will be more curious to see what you have to say in your own blog.

You get visitors, keep them :

The above mentioned tips can indeed help you increase traffic to your blog if done on a regular basis.

However, if you want to keep people coming to your blog again and again, subscribing to your feed, being involved and link to you, then you will have to make sure you write consistent and regular quality articles. Otherwise, readers will come once, twice and then never come back if they don't find what adds value to them. Quality content provided frequently is the key tip for a loyal readership.

Get yourself a strict planning of posting, share it with your readers and abide to it. Letting people know what you are planning to cover in your next posts, will make them want to be part of it. But again, the choice of the subjects is crucial, and the content of the articles once published is what determines if your readers would come for more or not.

Wrapping it up

As a summary, commenting on others' blogs can be a great way of driving traffic to your own, if you respect certain rules and do it in a clean and sustainable way. Nevertheless, you should keep in my mind that once a visitor is on your blog, the hardest part starts: keeping him/her there and interesting him/her to come back again and again. At the end, it's long-term traffic that a blogger needs and that requires you to service your readers with the best content you can provide.

2 Easy Ways to Help You Survive Retirement - How to Make Money Blogging

By Neels Theron

How to make money blogging? Hey, many of us over 45 may seem old and on the verge of toppling over from the perspective of the youthful Web 2.0-ers, but some of us do actually know how to earn money on the internet!

In fact, many of us have quite a serious incentive to know what's going for what in the world of Internet Marketing, for the simple reason that we ARE nearly keeling over, and we NEED to make a fast - and lasting - buck to provide for our upcoming retirement...

To be more precise: we need a consistent, secure, low-maintenance - even automated - source of income that will outlast us in our twilight years.

Well, if you have a couple of years left till retirement and you know how to make money blogging, it's entirely possible to provide for a comfortable supplemental retirement income, or to even enhance it significantly!

Here are two important methods to consider:

1. Start blogging for AdSense dollars

Start a niche site using one of the blogging programs available, such as WordPress. The advantage of using something like WordPress is that it's free, you can install it on your domain within minutes, and there are Adsense ready templates available to add ads automatically to your blog.

If you do some research, you will find many, many profitable topics to write about. Try doing product reviews for items that are in great demand. These will always attract lots of advertising for your AdSense income.

If you post and promote your articles regularly for a year or two, you will receive a steadily growing income that will eventually require very little maintenance, and that can sustain you for a long time, while you happily go on your world cruises!

Don't know how to blog? You will find lots of info on the web to make it quite easy to teach yourself blogging! Before you know it, you will be an expert on how to make money blogging.

2. Start an opt in email list

While a blogging site with AdSense income can provide a really good long term passive income, it is always good to spread your risks, especially when it comes to retirement! One of the best retirement assets you could build up is probably an opt in email list, or a double opt in leads list, as it is also called.

The idea behind this method is that you will have a ready market at your (arthritic!?) fingertips for a long time to come. Once you have a good list of say a couple of thousand leads, you can market affiliate products to them as often as you need to supplement your retirement income.

How does it work? A very effective way to build an opt in email list is to set up a squeeze page on your site. This can be done within a few minutes if you use one of the many available templates specially prepared for this purpose. The squeeze page captures the contact details of your visitors, mostly by offering them some kind of bonus in return.

You also need to set up an autoresponder follow-up system which sends out information and offers at regular intervals - all of this can be fully automated to leave you the freedom of enjoying your walks or books or the visits from the grandchildren!

Now, just settle in and drive traffic to your squeeze page and see your list grow over time!

If you stick it out diligently for a couple of years, you will be surprised at the income stream you have at your disposal for those lazy years ahead! Who knows, once you discover how to make money blogging, retiring may not seem like such an inviting prospect after all...

http://www.WebAdjust.com/build-your-list/ - Click here now to download a new free ebook where a well-known internet marketer will show you exactly how to build your opt in list and very soon make at least $1000 a month online - without a product of your own!

Submitting articles is a very effective way of bringing traffic to your blog. But it takes a little bit of time. If you want to submit articles to these article sites you have to be a good writer. You can't submit useless material. Whenever, you submit article, these sites provide you a box or space in which you can write about yourself and about your site along with this you can also provide link to your blog there.

Your job is over here and you have to just wait and watch. People visit these article sites, where you have submitted your article, in two ways. What is a Blog? My Views

By Maverick Augustine

What is a blog? Now many of us start it for many different reasons....But how many of us truly knows what a blog is and how to create and maintain a successful blog? I'm no blogging guru or some blog marketer. Just like you, I'm just an individual who got into blogging & taken it on as a hobby,to blog about things that catches my attention & intrigues my mind.

Not to mention there are millions of articles out there that teaches us how to create a blog & get traffic to it...And having read so many of them, it has truely tired me out. Each day, millions are creating a new blog around the world...But there are millions as well who give-up blogging each day...Why so? Has blogging lost its true essence?

There are also many so called experts and gurus who have claimed to have made lots of money through blogging....But seriously, how many of them are speaking the truth or as a matter of fact aren't creating a computer written article to get people to sign up for their advertising programmes. I've also come across many new to the blogging world, and trying to find out what this whole blogging hype is about and how they can create a successful blog, hence the reason for me to create this Blogging post.

What is a Blog?

-Blogs (or Weblogs) are basically online journals or diaries which are great for sharing information and ideas. A blog is a personal diary. A pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.

As well as text, blogs often contain audio, music, images and video.

They're also really easy to make, so you can have one even if you aren't very technical. Anything can be posted instantly to a blog.

Some blogs focus on a particular subject, such as political blogs, travel blogs, house blogs, fashion blogs, project blogs, education blogs, niche blogs, classical music blogs, quizzing blogs and legal blogs (often referred to as a blawgs) or dreamlogs. While not a legitimate type of blog, one used for the sole purpose of spamming is known as a Splog.

What Makes A Great Blog?

When reading a blog what is it people are looking for? Is it content? Is it the unique story a writer has to tell? Or, is it a combination of things?

Some people look for writing content. Others look for graphics and then some people like to go to blogs because, they can find their entertainment in video content.

Writers are in general unique by them self. Every writer has their own style when they write their own original content. At the end it is always the choice of the visitor. When they like your entertainment they will return.

If a question is raised in a specific topic, more then likely visitors return just to see if there is an answer posted. So,no matter what is presented a great blog is great when the visitor likes it.

There is no one way to write a great blog post. The best blogwriters have all found their own voice, their own techniques. You'll do that too, but you won't succeed right away.

The reader should be at the center of everything: the topics you choose, the way you write, what you include and what you don't.Forget that, and you've made a huge mistake.

Put yourself into your writing. Let your voice speak through. Speak to the readers. Write as if you're talking to them.

Sure, they're not talking back, but only for the moment. Soon they will. So talk as if you've got their ear, and as if they're listening but just chomping at the bit, waiting for their chance to respond.

Another thing I did was to go to my local library and borrow some great books on blogging and soon i was off on my own little blogging journey. Life is a lesson, each day is a learning experience.

Hope witting this post has given those out there a little information to help u in your own blogging journey.

Have fun blogging guys. ~Cheers~

8 Tips to Create a Blog Post That Gets Your Reader's Attention

By Mark Mccullagh

The biggest challenges facing most bloggers is not only creating content on a regular basis, but also writing posts that will actually get read by your target audience.

Have you ever landed on a blog and found yourself looking at a huge amount of text that looked like one big sentence? My guess is that you didn't bother to read that post.

Here are 8 helpful tips to write blog posts that get attention:

1. Perform keyword research but don't overuse your keywords.

Make a list of the keyword phrases that have the most search volume in your niche and write posts relevant to those keywords.

Include the keyword phrase you have selected in your headline and in the first sentence. Use variations of the keyword in the rest of the post and write naturally, avoiding repetition.

2. Use headlines that are catchy and arouse curiosity.

Your headline is the most important part of your post and is the most crucial single factor that will determine whether your post will get read.

It is a good idea to copy headlines that catch your eye and create a swipe file that you can use as a reference.

Your headline should appeal to the emotions of your reader, which leads us to the next point:

3. Know your reader.

This point is illustrated wonderfully by internet marketing expert Eben Pagan who said that when you write, try to picture your reader at home alone, sitting in front of their computer.

  • What is this person thinking about?
  • What are their problems, frustrations, fears, and needs?
  • What solutions can you offer them?

There is a conversation already going on inside your readers' mind, try to enter into it by:

4. Writing to your reader as an individual.

Imagine that the person is sitting beside you and you are having a conversation. Simply record this conversation.

Or, think about how you would address a good friend if you were sending them an email offering advice or telling them about something that you thought was really cool.

5. Be clear and concise.

Most people read posts by quickly scanning so it is important to cut all unnecessary words and get to the point as fast and obviously as you can.

The important issue here is to proofread your posts with a fine-tooth comb. Always try to look for the briefest and most direct way to get your message across.

6. Make your posts easy to read with formatting techniques.

  • make your sentences and paragraphs shorter

  • use bullet points and numbered lists

  • break up the text with graphics

  • bold important points

7. Check your spelling and grammar.

Your credibility is at stake and nothing makes a poorer impression than spelling mistakes and poor grammar.

Remember that your writing is a reflection of you and this will directly affect your readers' opinion of you.

8. Use lots of links.

Providing your readers with additional resources will add to your credibility and authority in your niche.

Linking to other sites will also help you build a network within your niche as these sites will often end up linking to you as well.

The whole purpose of blogging is to have your posts read.

I hope that you find these tips helpful and I invite you to share any tips that you have found effective.

Presidential Convention Blogger Tent?

By Lance Winslow

Apparently, Google is going to set up a huge tent outside the democrat convention in Denver for bloggers who will be blogging about the event. Perhaps, you are unaware that there are some 500 dedicated bloggers who helped Senator Barrack Obama with his rise to Stardom. Well, these bloggers, many of them are still at it attempting to get the word out and get Obama elected. Google realizes that they want to be involved in the race to show their technological and Internet prowess.

The Republicans have about 200 dedicated bloggers out there, not as many as the democrats, but a respectable number of fully dedicated individuals. These bloggers are actually certified with credentials from the national parties. Each of the credentialed bloggers has a vast amount of knowledge of current political events.

So, what will these "big Google Tents" have in the way of accommodations? Well, they will have high-speed Internet access, electricity, food, couches, beverages, smoothies, and HD TV of all the news media. Cost, $100 for entry and a work station to blog away on. And these are not little tents, we are talking some 8,000 square feet or so.

For those who do not have the respect for the Blogosphere or do not understand what it is all about or why it matters, soon they will see just why it may be the bloggers that swing this election. Both the Republicans and the Democrats are counting on their bloggers to make a difference. Will it be enough, can they make a difference? We shall see, but one thing for sure, either way they are making history.

Business Blogging is Big Business!

By Julie-Ann Amos

Blogging is big business right now, everyone has a blog from the big guys at Microsoft to next-door's angry teenager. It's quick, it's easy and it's a great marketing tool for a business.

Business blogging can be used to keep customers and visitors up to date on what's going on in a business, what's coming up, general chit-chat that doesn't fit anywhere else on the company site but might be interesting. It also brings a personal feel to the site when it's done right.

No matter how corporate and professional the web site may be, business blogging should be kept on a conversational level. It's an informal contact that can be used to communicate and to sell at the same time. Keep up with comments made from visitors and reply to them if necessary - it shows that their comments are valued and they'll likely return.

It doesn't always have to be the guy in IT who does the blog just because it's a technical thing. Anyone can write it, it's the person who knows what they are talking about on that particular subject that makes the blog work.

Link to other blogs and articles of interest around the web if it's appropriate to. Linking is a big feature of blogs and it can encourage return links. Use trackbacking, if possible, a form of notifier between blogs to say they've been commented on. This kind of networking can provide both valuable visitors and some good links to feed the search engines with.

Linking the blog to an RSS feed is a good idea too, as it will automatically tell interested parties when it's updated, to save them having to keep checking back. They may even forget to occasionally, so a gentle prod will bring them back to keep up with the news.

The regularity of a blog is important, therefore it needs to be thought out before setting it up to make sure there will be things to say. Try to set a regular sort of time for postings. Daily, every three days, every week, it doesn't really matter as long as it is regularly updated - that is the point of a blog.

The search engines will read the blog and will like it for being kept up to date. So, make sure to get a few keywords in there without going overboard and it will know the content is relevant to the site, helping keep it's spiders busy and listing positions as high as possible.

If a business blog should not work out for any reason, collect pertinent posts for a news archive and close the blog gracefully over a period of time rather than immediately, making sure to inform regular users.

And finally, enjoy it! People will know if the blog is enthusiastic or if it's being done as a chore - guess which one they will prefer to read.

Build Your Email List by Using Your Blog

By Jonathan Hook

Every blog marketer knows the importance of having a list. It can't be stressed enough. The bigger the list, the more business potential you have at your fingertips. It is essential that you know how to use your blog to build your email list exponentially to keep that potential alive and flourishing. So how do you do that?

The most obvious and basic thing you can do to encourage sign ups is to provide genuinely helpful and unique content. If you do nothing else, practice this essential consistently to ensure return readers and interested opt-ins.

If you are providing a blog that people are considering valuable, they will be easily encouraged to share and forward your newsletter to others. Naturally, your newsletter should have an opt-in box for the recipients to easily register with. This step presents the opportunity to double your list of email addresses. Think about that - double, with very little effort. All you're doing is asking your readers to share. If they're enjoying your writing, they'll be happy to oblige.

Should you find that you're not getting as many referrals as you'd hoped from doing the above, try a little motivation.

Offer an incentive to those who help you increase your number of registrants. It doesn't have to be costly, though you could offer cash payable through PayPal. People are often pleased to receive a free report about a subject they're interested in that pertains to your business.

If you really want to thrill and excite them into helping you, offer to write a blog post about them. Every person who brings you X number of new sign ups will have their business highlighted on your blog.

You may already be offering a free report on your blog site to entice new sign ups. If so, don't forget to explain that the email address being entered will be added to your list. People don't like feeling that they've been tricked onto a list. Honesty may lose you an address or two, but will win you an integrity that will take you much farther.

Along the same vein, give your readers a feeling of being in control by segmenting your lists according to subject matter. Readers can then sign up only for the topics they're interested in.

Why not try something that survey sites use? Offer a contest ballot each time a reader gets a referral to join your list. The prize could be anything mentioned above, or something else your loyal supporters deem worth winning.

Another benefit to the personal touch is that your readers will feel part of a fold that has the inside track to success. It creates a team atmosphere that will in turn create motivation to help build your list. When this happens, you have people on board that feel rewarded and really want to help. The more interested and involved your opt-ins are, the better your list and therefore the selling potential within it.

Tons of people are using their blogs to implement subscriptions, as well as increase their numbers and keep everyone happy that they signed up in the first place. Have fun with the process and enjoy the interactions with your faithful readers, and the subsequent increase in sales.

Once you learn how to use your blog to build your email list, you'll wish you'd started using the strategy sooner. It's easy, and only involves a little work. The return you'll get on the time spent will be more than worth it.

The simple truth is that for most of us, creating copious amounts of killer content on our blog sites is often tedious, time consuming and frustrating. How Blogging Makes Building High Traffic Easier to Do

By David J Ogden

A nice looking blog is not going to get the job done. What is going to get the job done is combining blogging with other marketing methods to build high traffic more quickly. Let's take a little closer at how your blog can make building high traffic easier to do.

The basics of Internet marketing and in getting traffic have always been about getting back links. A back link is where your website address is on somebody else's website, or where your blog URL is on somebody else's website or blog.

Some of that you can control and other ways you need some help. It all starts with writing a good article and getting it posted in your blog the right way. For this you might want to study up a little bit on search engine optimization, but targeting the right keywords in your blog post is one of the keys to this.

The next thing you want to be sure and do is social bookmark every blog post. You can quickly do this by joining Onlywire and the social directories they include. You should also bookmark your blog posts to some of the major social directories such as Stumbleupon, Digg, and Propeller.

Another thing you can do is post comments in other people's blogs and include a link back to your own website or blog. These can serve search engine bait, as well as again give you a back link where people can find your site from.

Posting in discussion forums is another way to do this. Include a link in your signature file back to your website and to your blog. You are not only going to increase your traffic, but you are also going to increase the quality of your traffic doing these sorts of things.

Today allowing customers to get involved in the blogging process is a great way to get repeat traffic. Invite them to leave comments about your blog articles. Be sure in reply to their comments and let them know to you have done so. This is a way to get them coming back on a consistent basis.

Other things you can do include adding audio and video to your site, which makes it more interesting, allowing them to vote in polls or surveys, and even allowing them to add blog articles themselves.

Blogging definitely makes building high traffic easier because there are so many ways you can go about getting people to come to your blog and getting them to come back.

Business Blogs - Why Starting a Blog Will Increase Your Credibility and Visibility on the Internet

By Connie Ragen Green

Blogging to build your business has been a hot topic of discussion for several years now. If you want to increase your credibility and visibility online, starting a blog is the best way to do this. Blogging allows you to get your information out to others, while also giving your readers a way to connect with you and to be part of the conversation.

When you first start to blog it may seem like you are writing to yourself. Everyone goes through this for a month or so at the very beginning. But if you define your target audience and use your keywords in your blog post titles and blog domain name, readers will begin to find you and you will see the results very quickly after that.

Make sure that you have a form on your blog where readers can leave their name and email address. This will help you to build your list and give you the opportunity to contact them away from your blog. Depending on your type of business, you will want to promote other products and services that will be of interest to your readers.

Post to your blog regularly. I recommend posting every day for the first one to two months. This will give your blog lots of good content and be a great resource for anyone who finds you through a search of any kind. The more content you have on your blog, the higher it will rank in the search engines. Every time you make a new post you have created a new page. The search engines will crawl your blog and make it appear more relevant for your keyword phrases.

Choose your categories wisely. Think about your business and the topics that you will want to cover to share your information with others. Make a list of these topics and add them to your category list. A new visitor to your blog will be able to click on the category link and see all of the posts you have written in that category. That is convenient for you and for your readers. If you are writing an eBook, categories will help you to organize your chapters.

Ask others to write guest posts for you. This gives you a break from blogging and makes your blog more interesting and informative to others. Many people will be glad to have the opportunity to write on your established blog to gain more exposure for themselves.

Blogging will enhance your current business or help you to build a new business online. I encourage you to get started right away so that you can reap the rewards of regular business blogging.

And now I invite you to join me for free weekly teleseminars that will teach you how to write, market, and sell your articles and ebook to increase your visibility, credibility and passive income by visiting http://www.EbookWritingandMarketingSecrets.com and also learn the technology needed to run an online business.

Blogging For Your Business - 7 Tips on How to Blog to Build a Profitable Online Business

By Connie Ragen Green

Blogging will change the way you do business, whether your business is online or off. Once you set up your blog and become part on the conversation in the blogosphere, nothing will ever be the same. You will want to make sure you get off to a good start, so that your valuable time will make a difference in your business.

First, decide what kind of blogging you will be doing. Will you be promoting your business, expressing your opinions, or providing information for people who are interested in a specific topic? Once you know the purpose of your blog it will be easier to plan what to do next. Here are some ideas for setting up your blog so that you can gain visibility and credibility online, and build your business on the internet.

  • Choose either Typepad or hosted WordPress as your blogging platform. This way you will own your blog and have control over its content and existence. The free blogging services provide no customer service and can delete your blog from their servers at any time. You do not want to lose your hard work and effort, so choose a hosted blogging platform to begin with.
  • Define your target market and ideal client. Who are you trying to reach with your blog? What do these people want to learn from you? Make some notes and then just start blogging. Over time you will refine what you are writing about and who you want to reach. As you do this your blog become more relevant to the people you are reaching out to.
  • Make a list of topics you will be writing about. These topics will become your categories on your blog. Choose your categories carefully, using your keyword phrases to guide you. This will help you to be found by the search engines for your keywords, and will also help people who come to your blog and want to find information on a particular topic.
  • Post to your blog regularly. During the first month or so, post every day to your blog, even if you are only writing a few paragraphs. Tips For Finding Easy Blogging Software Online

By Colleen Slater

Is blogging easy? It can be with the correct guidance and the right blogging platform. People new to blogging are easily overwhelmed by the range of websites to create their blog on. This article will discuss two of the most popular free methods.

Firstly - Blogger

Simply by setting up an account you gain access to endless blogging possibilities. You are able to choose a design for your blog page at the very start and can start posting and have your post published in a matter of minutes. If you need to add an additional link to a second page or video feature, Blogger will show you how.

Blogger may be a simple, casual type of software, but it can really enhance your blog pages. It all depends on how you use it and what designs you choose for it. It offers numerous template choices. Some are fun, designed specifically for casual use. This kind of use would be recommended for a newsletter for friends and family (like a diary format). There are also basic types that are more suited for newspapers and commercial uses.

There is something for everyone at Blogger. One drawback though is that you can't install Wordpress plugins that make blogging so much easier

This brings me to probably the most common choice - WordPress blogging software. The beauty of Wordpress is that you can create a blog straight on wordpress itself, or you can create Wordpress on your own domain and webhosting provider.

While these two free blogging solutions are highly recommended, sometimes you need something a bit more innovative that is a number of blogging tools in one.

Firepow blogging software is the largest selection of blogging tools in one and is highly recommended for regular bloggers. How to Make a Blog - Simple Instructions

By Colleen Slater

We have all heard of blogs. Many of our employers, friends, or teachers use them. Most, people would love to make one but are not sure how to. The process is really very simple. You just go into a blog service that allows you to set them up.

Blog Services

One such place is Blogger. You can create free weblogs here with ease. You simply need to set up an account with a user name and password, select a template, change some settings if you like and start posting. Blogging really doesn't need to be harder than that.

There are a range of free templates at Blogger. The template will actually be the overall design or theme of your blog. It's a good idea to have an eye catching blog rather than a boring one. You can also add elements to the pages of your blog. This is where you can promote products or link to other websites in the sidebar and the footer of the site.

Creative Blog Ideas

This all depends largely on why you're blogging. If it's a personal blog or diary you can post photographs, updates of what's happening in your life etc, your pregnancy, your babies, whatever you feel like.

If you're creating a blog to make money from it you have the choice of being paid for ads that people click on from your blog such as AdSense ads by Google or else you can promote other people's products on there. You can post artwork, videos, papers, newsletters, whatever you decide.

The beauty of blogging is it's a quick and very easy way to alert the people in your life as to what is going on in your life, particularly for personal diary blogs. Professional ones consist of business facts, newsletters, the latest news and updates.

Weblogs are also used in many school systems. They are effective in posting announcements or for students to post papers. Newspapers use their blog pages to post additional facts and or articles. This is a great way for their readers to comment on the latest news.

Basically, blog pages can be whatever you design them to be. The choice, style and type are completely up to you.

I make $8000,00 online as a niche blogger. My blogging platform of choice is Firepow. Let me give YOU the edge over other Firepow users with my exclusive Firepow offer. Corporate Blog - Do You Need One?

By Christopher Bibey

Do you want to establish your company online? If so, a corporate blog may be right for you. Over the past few years, corporate blogging has become more and more popular. There are many reasons for this, and you should realize that all of them can work to your advantage in one way or the next.

First things first, a corporate blog allows you to become an expert in your field. Instead of a static website that offers the same information day in and day out, a blog allows you to update with new content whenever you see fit. Over time, your audience will grow and you will eventually be seen as an expert no matter which industry you are in.

To go along with this, a corporate blog can help to increase business and profits. Once again, as you become known as an industry expert more people will turn to you for advice. While not always the case, it is safe to say that many of these people will eventually turn into clients.

But I don't know how to write: this is a common statement made by many who are interested in corporate blogging but are having a hard time getting started. Even if you are not the best writer, you can still take advantage of the benefits of a corporate blog. Your best option is to hire a freelance writer who is skilled and experienced in your industry. You can assign topics, while also asking the writer to produce content on particular aspects of your company. Although hiring a writer will cost a bit of money, it will pay off big time in the long run.

Corporate blogging is not going to die off anytime soon. More companies than ever before are getting involved, and if you are smart, you will do the same in the near future.

Hire a corporate blogging professional to assist with content creation, marketing, and much more.

Like Blogging? This is How to Make Money by Blogging

By Chris M Dillon

If you like blogging, and are good at it, this is how to make money off it.

First off there are three options when it comes to blogging that you can use to make money. The first of these is simple writing articles for other marketers to use, they will usually throw you fifty bucks for every ten articles you do.

The second way to make money online is to writing articles for yourself. By using online publishing sites to upload your articles, you can sign the articles with you link from your web page that viewers will see when viewing your article. If this sounds like something you would be interested in or could do easily then the only catch is that the articles you write and the website you own should all be related in one way or another.

The third way to make money off blogging goes hand in hand with the second method. This method involves having a website devoted to a master blog that you will regularly post on as your main source of income. With this method it is best to change the number one blog on your site daily or every other day at the most and news stories are the easiest to do this with. After you get your site developed and are beginning to make money then all you need to do is to introduce click able links to your site that promote similar products for extra money so that when people view your site they also view your affiliate links, this gives you a chance to make more money yet, and this is also the more widely used method.

How to Earn Money Blogging

By Alison Wood

Once you have a site up and running you can earn money blogging through a variety of means. Chief amongst these is AdSense, Clickbank and affiliate programs such as those of Amazon and Ebay.

In order to earn as much as possible the wisest idea is to get multiple sites live in a wide variety of niches. You will be amazed at how quickly the revenues from these sites can add up. Let's take some examples if you had 20 sites earning just a measly $1 dollar a day, this would add up to $600 per month. For 50 sites earning $1 dollar a day you are up to $1500 per month and for 100 sites again this rises to $3000 per month. That doesn't even take into account the fact that many of these sites will probably be earning far in advance of $1 a day through the collective power of Adsense, Amazon, Clickbank, Ebay and any other affiliate links you wish to promote. Let's say 50 sites, earning just $5 a month, that adds up to $7,500 per month. I will just say that again $7500 per month, that's $90,000 per year. Think maybe you could pay of some debts or give up working on that amount?

Yes but 50 sites I hear you say, that must be really difficult and a heck of a lot of work to build and maintain. Well that is where a new piece of software comes into play, that can make it childsplay to get these sites up and running, namely EZ Niche Builder. This software can create multiple sites for you in countless niches and you only pay a very low-one off price for the software and can them implement it as many times as you wish on as many sites as you can dream up. What's more this software come from Incansoft, who are not only geniuses in creating products that a person with limited technical knowledge can use, but have some of the nicest most approachable support people around.
