Make Money Blogging - The Fastest Way to Positive Cash Flow

By Tracey A Edwards

There are actually many ways to make money blogging, and sometimes the hardest thing is choosing which method is best for your blog. You could add advertising, promote affiliate products and even sell your own products, however the one thing you need before you can even consider cashing in on your writing is getting traffic to your blog.

Traffic is the number one factor in determining if you will make money blogging or not. After all, you could have the best possible layout for monetization but if no-one visits your blog then you'll never make any cash.

The first step to getting more traffic to your blog is good keyword and phrase selection. You need to be able to choose those keywords and phrases that have a lot of search terms but don't have a lot of competition.

You can easily do your research with a number of free online keyword tools and then type your phrases into Google to see how much competition they have.

Once you have found good phrases it is simply a matter of using them in your title and again a few times in your content (but make sure you don't over do it as some search engines don't like the overuse of key phrases).

Once you are getting traffic to your blog now you can add your money making features.

You should choose to promote only those products that are directly related to your subject matter to get the best result. Promoting affiliate products is probably the fastest ways to get your blog making money for you because many affiliate programs pay fortnightly or monthly.

Adding advertising, either by finding specific advertisers yourself or using Google's AdSense ad system is another way to help make more money from your blog, however often they take a longer time to pay out.

As you can see, traffic is your number one priority for making money blogging so if you can get that, you can cash in on your blog.

How to Make Money Blogging by Driving Repeat Visitors to Your Site

By Gregg Gillies

When it comes to their web site or blog, most internet marketers focus on the number of unique visitors they get to their site.

While unique visitors may be a key metric if you're talking about a product sales page, repeat visitors are the key to your success when it comes to make money blogging.

So how do you get them coming back for more?

For starters, don't be boring! Dan Kennedy says this one all the time.

If you're boring, people will be indifferent to you. If they're indifferent to you and your business you're going to go broke.

I know it sounds strange, but you WANT people to either love you are hate you.

Two great examples of this in radio are Rush Limbaugh and Howard Stern.

They are probably the two most loved AND most hated personalities on the radio. And they are both laughing all the way to the bank.

Last I checked they were both making in excess of $30 million a year for their radio show.

Still don't want people to hate you?

The same is true of your blog content. You don't want to bore people. You want to stir their passions in one direction or the other.

This doesn't mean try to be offensive just to be offensive.

But if you have a strong opinion about a topic related to your blog, make that opinion known.

You'll not only get repeat visitors to your blog, you'll probably start getting a lot of comments and other sites linking to you, which will drive even more traffic to your site.

You need to keep the content of your blog interesting so people will want to come back and even subscribe to your RSS feed so they learn of fresh content on your blog right away.

Six Key Tips For Using Blogs to Improve Your Web Traffic

By Dennis Francis

This might seem a bit trivial but I see this often since I use forums as part of my marketing mix. The question is how do you get people to pay attention to you once you get to the forum? There are six things that I would be concerned about when scoping out the forums. Here are the steps that I use to get traffic from forums.

1) Get your keywords formalized. It is important to have a collection of keywords that fit your niche. If you don't use Pay Per Click advertising you still need to collect at least 50 quality keywords for your niche. The point of focusing on your keywords is to tie your website to the chosen keywords.

2) Your choice of responses must work to your advantage and to do that you must consciously optimize your responses and input to match your website keywords. If you sell soft sculpture toys, your niche keywords might be perhaps toys and perhaps teddy bears or other soft toys. Your input and responses should include some of your keywords in order to bolster your back links to your website.

3) If you create articles or have a blog of your own, you can reference them in your responses on the forums. Let's say that you flagged a question on care and packaging or soft toys. You have a great answer to the post; so you compose an answer and reference your blog post from last year. You hyperlink the blog post line and ensure that you have a few keywords from your blog in the post. So you would write something like this: "I know how tough it is to store and ship soft toys I wrote a blog post on it at my blog - (blog name). This is solution to the problem is (fill in the blank).

4) There is a certain trick to using forums for marketing purposes. You should carefully craft your bio or your signature section to promote your squeeze page or blog. Once again you should make certain that your keywords are injected in your signature. If you are selling the soft toys at softhuggybears.com, you might have a signature that says "How to take good care of your soft huggy bears. Get my FREE report at softhuggybears.com." make the case for your solution to their problem.

5) Keep the conversation on topic and move it along with your responses. Once you reply to the original post, send another post to add a twist to the conversation and perhaps pose a follow up question for the other members to respond to. That keeps the thread open and more people will read it. More people reading the thread means more people involved in the conversation and seeing your signature.

6) If the forum has an article section, contribute to that section as often as you can. Take a few of your blog posts and reconfigure them into articles. You'll need to reach a lot of forums to make this pay off. Don't stop at one or two forums and expect the get a flood of traffic. This is a business venture and must be treated as such.

This is a great way to get back links and build your reputation as well more traffic to your website. Be sure to get your facts straight when posting and stay honest. People will hold you accountable when you are solving their problems.

Work From Home Blogs For an Online Business

By Cody John

I stumbled across this way to make money almost by accident. I started a blog about my diet that I was on. It was nothing too elaborate - just a simple blogger.com blog that cost me nothing to set up. As I started getting visitors I was looking at my site and began to wonder if there was a way to make money from my blog.

Work from home blogs are nothing new but to me it was very exciting to see all these people reading my blog. It also kept me strictly to my diet as I was being followed by my online readers. One day while I was posting to my blog there was a message on the dashboard from those nice people at google suggesting I make money from my blog. The idea was to add something called adsense to my blog. These are the adverts you see on some websites.

It was free to sign up and very easy to put the AdSense onto my blog. The really clever thing about adsense is that it can pick up the theme of your website and display only adverts that relate to that theme. This makes it more likely that you will get people clicking on these ads. When someone visits my site and clicks on one of these ads Google pays me a tiny cut of the revenue for that advert.

So I found my diet blog was now earning me a bit of money. It was only a few pence to start with but as time went on more visitors turned into more income. So what you can do is start with one blog and get that going. You then add blogs to your portfolio about things that interest you and just post regularly to each blog.

You can see how easily work from home blogs can provide you with a small but easy online income,

How to Convert Blog Traffic to Passive Income Automatically

By Wayne Brooks

Every now and again things fall into place to your benefit when you least expect it. I believe the phenomenon is called "Serendipity" and is often characterized by such things as looking

for something in the owner's manual for your car and finding a $20 bill between the pages.

How'd that happen? or...

Getting ready to do some laundry and finding five bucks in the pocket of a pair of sweatpants.

Go figure...

Well, I recently experienced "Serendipity" when I discovered that a minor tweak to this very blog, that I thought was pretty insignificant, ended up adding a sizable chunk of cash to one

of my affiliate accounts. What's more, it's still happening.

Now before I share with you what the minor tweak is, so you can apply it to your own blog or website, I need to share with you what prompted me to make the tweak in the first place.

It all has to do with one of my personal affiliate blogging axioms which says that "The fundamental difference between Marketing and Selling which MUST be understood is that

Marketing is about getting visitors to look while Selling is about getting visitors to buy."

For this reason, I've always coached my readers to recognize and understand that as Affiliate Bloggers, our goal is effective marketing of someone else's product as a means to monetize our blog and produce a profit for the time spent to develop and deliver quality content, while the goal of the product owner, who we represent, is to sell the product. Bottom line, Affiliate Bloggers market products and services. Affiliate Product Owners sell products and services.

With this in mind, know that effective marketing is accomplished through a process of continuous testing of different offers, ad copy, traffic generation methods etc.; which brings us back to the minor tweak.

Interestingly, the minor tweak that resulted in my little income generation surprise was the direct result of something I learned by reading Part 2 of Chris Rempel's Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate. By the way, I recommend that you get a copy now if you don't already have it. It's one of the best affiliate marketing manuals currently available and will walk you through implementing an effective site testing process step-by-step and a whole lot more.

So, by taking the strategies learned in Part 2 of the Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate manual and combining them with a strategy discussed at the bottom of page 84 in the Atomic Blogging manual, one of my affiliate accounts that seemed to be stalled at $37.50 has grown over the past few weeks to over $250 without me spending a dime to advertise it. Best of all, there's no sign of things slowing down!

If you've applied the strategies from my other posts, then you're already realizing results from using Atomic Blogging techniques. So, convert your blog traffic into automatic passive income by reading Part 2 of Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate combining the lessons learned with your Atomic Blogging knowledge, and making systematic minor tweaks to your own site. You'll be pleasantly surprised with the new influx of income!

World's Top Entrepreneur's Rules to Become Expert Blogger

By Shri Nagesh

Ms. Irene Rosenfeld, CEO of kraft foods, is Forbes top 5th woman entrepreneur, 2007.

I was inspired by her "six rules of road" and found them practically applicable to us, netpreneurs.

Six Rules Of The Road:

-Get the right people on the bus,

-Engage their hearts and minds,

-Give them a road map,

-Model the behavior you expect,

-Communicate, communicate, and communicate,

-Celebrate success publicly and often.

Get the right people on bus: We all strive for traffic to our blogs. Unless you are aiming at income from cost per impression ads, what you need is quality traffic. The traffic which builds a loyal following and the traffic which converts. Network in the right area. If you are helping people plan for their retirement, what is the use of networking where teens are prevalent.

Engage their hearts and minds: Write informative posts. Use short sentences, catchy phrases, a touch of humor would bring in the right mixture to keep your visitors glued to your blog. Interlink your posts to allow people to read on and on. On an average blog visitors read 1.7 blogs. So make sure you catch them there. You have to inculcate this habit from the 1st post on your blog. Quality information is key.

Give them a road map: People are looking for info on the net. Show them how to do, what they want to do. Entice them with your expertise on the subject. They will be too pleased to come back for more and whom to turn to when they get stuck.

Model the behavior you expect: This one tip is probably the most important. I know of a good example. Johnathan Leger. Prior to his book "$7 secrets", e-books were sold over $40. His 7$ secrets is kind of viral marketing. He sold his book for $7 and offered 100% commission to his affiliates. He became IM guru overnight. He was practically implementing his theory and showing people how successful it can be.

Communicate, communicate, communicate: Stay in touch with your group. Once you built a mail list show them they haven't done a mistake. They are going to get quality info each time you communicate with them. This will keep them looking forward to your mail rather than clicking spam button. Use different techniques instead of just one. Like e-zines, webinars, forums etc. But don't overdo it, especially when you have no quality info to offer.

Celebrate success publicly and often: Isn't that a great way to show you respect your visitor's loyalty. Celebrate your blog's anniversary or New Year by giving a little gift. You could give a report away, hold a free seminar, a discount or something that is useful for them.

Ms Irene Rosenfeld received total compensation valued at $11.6 Million in 2007. Let's try following her six rules of road and see how far we can get.

Being a Successful Blogger - 7 Tips to Blogging Success

By Rory Mcdowell

Your niche is a topic you love

The first step to creating a blog is figuring out what you are going to write about. If you don't pick a niche you love or at least enjoy, it will be hard for you to do any of the other steps. Why? Because you have to be committed to your site and want it to succeed. Plus it is much easier to create content about something you like because you will have knowledge about it.

Your posts are well written

Visitors to your blog will be most likely looking for information. You want your posts to convey their message in as clear a way as possible. If you have silly spelling and grammatical mistakes it makes your blog look not only unprofessional but makes the article very hard to read. People are much more likely to come back again if they can understand what your post is trying to say.

You are posting regularly and frequently

Posting everyday is a very hard thing to do. Some blogs I read do achieve this. I, unfortunately, do not. But if you can post everyday that is great for getting readers who visit your blog everyday. It becomes a habit for them to visit your blog. However if you post 3 days in a row and then take a week off and then post 5 more days people will never know when you have new content. They will get tired of coming every day for a week and there being nothing. So they will stop coming and may forget about your site. So even if you cant post everyday. Try to post on a regular basis maybe every other day or once every 3 days.

Your blog has something the other blogs in the same niche doesn't

Think about the top bloggers: Shoemoney, John Chow and even Carl Ocab. What do they have that makes them great bloggers? Each of the A-List bloggers have something that sets them apart from the people in their niche. Shoemoney with his $180,000 Adsense check, John Chow with his $40,000 a month earnings and Carl Ocab with the fact that he is 15. Now each of them has had to work just as hard as you or me to be successful. However, they have a little punch that sets them apart from the crowd. Even if you don't have something like that. Do something so your blog will stick out in peoples minds. Get a cool layout for your blog or do some quirky little thing in each post that may become your trademark. DO something to set you apart.

Your monetization is effective but not glaring

Now i assume you want to make money off blogging. In order to do that you need to monetize your site. One of the best things you can do is sell advertising space on your side bar. You can even just sell links. This takes up very little room and can make you a very good income. Carl Ocab sells a link space on his site for $55 each. He has 7 featured sites right now. That is $385 he is making off the very little bit of space. However, if you go with affiliate ads or Adsense you want to place the ads so that you make money off them. But also so that ads aren't the only thing people see. You know how annoying it is when you visit a site and ads are popping up left and right everything you click on leads to more ads. Be clever about where you place your ads.

Your content is unique

There is nothing worse than a blog that only has copied content. Now I am not talking about guest posts or anything like that. But people who create an entire blog off copied and pasted work. You will have a very hard time getting a consistent volume of traffic and making any money if you don't come up with unique content.

You work consistently at increasing the traffic to your blog

In order to be successful you have to have traffic. You could have the best content in the whole world but if no one sees it, you will make nothing. Everyday work at trading links with people and submitting articles to sites like EzineArticles.com and articledashboard.com. Always work at getting more and more traffic. Don't think that just because you have great posts people are going to flock to your site. Sure, if you have great posts people will take notice and you will get some natural traffic. However, you need to work at getting your stuff out there. Let others know about your site.

What is a Blog? - The Beginning

By Pauline Young

"Blog" the origin of the word Blog comes from the words "web log" which was used for a short time to describe entry logs on the web. It was quickly mashed into the one word "blog". Now the word "blog" describes regularly updated posts on the internet. From the word "Blog" we now have "Bloggers" which is people who write and publish blogs, and Blogging the art of posting blogs.

There has been a range of extensions to describe this wonderful past time. Slightly exaggerated wording has evolved nearly as rapidly as blogging itself.

Web log is nothing more than dated entries on the web sites. Blogs can vary as much as the writers who write them. The reason for starting a blog can be different for each individual. Many are motivated with reasons of enjoying the writing, looking for an income, the belief of what one person knows may help others or even just a way to communicate on the internet. Regardless of the reason that you have for starting a blog, you are creating a valuable service.

Hobbies create fantastic blogs, as they share information about a hobby that may be of interest to novices or experienced alike. You can make comments to share your view, or just to give a little insight on a subject that you are proud of.

Know how and technologies can be promoted so that we can always watch for trends, or just to see whats coming next. These Bloggers tell their audience about all sorts of exciting news, by keeping daily information on a favourite pastime updated daily.

Blogs can be informative, funny, funny pictures, charming stories or just family fun. More than anything that the readers find enjoyable.

Big companies like Google and Microsoft offer free blog sites to try and paint the face of friendly service. For these companies and many more like them, benefit from the business created by visitors to the blog.

You will find as you explore the world of blogging, that not all blog writers provide a valuable service, they tend to ramble on incoherently, which makes these blogs not very entertaining.

So when you are ready to create your own blog, think seriously about what sort of blog you would like to write. Be certain to choose a topic that you have facts on, so that you can develop an audience that would like to follow each and every post.

Blogging is fast becoming the most widely read form of media, as blogging grows so does the audience it attracts. Blogging is also fast becoming a good way of earning an income. Many bloggers are professionals and the tools and information they provide can be invaluable.

Content

We all know that having content is key. The content must be targeted around your keyword. Write an article between 300 and 400 words much like if you submitting it to a regular article directory. Apply the same standards that the directory would adhere to. Its very easy to write a sales pitch and post it up on your blog. But is this what you want to see if your searching for a particular item? A sales pitch? No you want answers or tips or reviews..information! Not a sales pitch.

OK so we have content. Here are a couple of things that my help SEO your Post.

1. Ensure the keyword your targeting is in the Title of your post.

Blogging Can Better Help You Hone in on Your Online Marketing!

By Singh Kulveer

The powerful technology also offers fast downloading of multimedia content and a range of interesting features like video-calling and photo blogging. Blogging can get as simple as that or even more complex. Oh and you bet, I'll be blogging about that. Remember when blogging, do not write un-useful content, people love to read informing texts, just think about it, what is it your are reading right now.

The responses I received ranged from odd looks to questions about the blogging practice. Google Blog search has the unprecedented potential to bring the mainstream surfer into blogging, even more than Yahoo's RSS Headlines pioneered the start of making RSS mainstream about a year ago. Here are a few things you might want to consider adding to your arsenal of blogging tools. A company should have a list of policies regarding blogging to ensure that trade secrets are kept secret and personal lives do not become public.

The answer can better help you hone in on your online marketing, pod casting and blogging efforts. All the time I spend with blogging can actually be divided in5large chunks: Setup and maintenance of my blog: setting up the blog, installing plugins, blog design, In the next few series of articles, I will try and deal with some of the very basic technical jargon and skills that one needs when facing this daunting world of web-site creation, blogging and getting listed and noticed by the Search Engines.

Since of this, you may think blogging is part journalism and part political commentary, and therefore not of interest to you or the advancement of your business. With bloggers being named People of the Year by Time magazine last year, if you're not blogging in 2005, you're going to be left in the dust by other sites in your industry that do. As I wrote in a previous article it has been found that blogging can sometimes have a detrimental effect on a person instead of the positive effect that it was designed for. In the past few years's fads like Crocs shoes, The Adkins Diet, blogging, stainless steel kitchen appliances, Tickle Me Elmo Dolls, Adjustable Rate Mortgages, innumerable TV shows and entertainers have captured outsized portions of their marketplace.

Splogging or spam blogging has thus become rampant among webmasters trying to gain an improved ranking in search engine result pages. By far the most consistent method I have found to bring listeners to music is blogging. Blogging with Keywords is easy, because you simply write sentences in your blog post using keywords. However, instant photo sharing through MMS or email and fun features like Picture Blogging makes the integrated camera a nice addition to the feature list.

When I first started blogging on MySpace on my personal profile, I gained quite a following because of some strategies that I implemented. Capture precious moments of life with resolution as high as 1600x1200 pixels or in high quality videos with the Nokia 7373 to be shared with friends via MMS, email or even picture blogging once you've transferred the images and video clips to your computer. The key to learning how to become a blogger is to start blogging.

How to Launch a Successful Blog For Your Internet Marketing Business

In internet marketing it is no secret that a blog can increase the amount of traffic you generate to your website. Having a successful blog can be one of the most accommodating marketing tools you will find for your internet marketing business once you get into it. The key is launching a high traffic blog, which will in turn generate more traffic to your website.

When starting a blog for your internet marketing business you want to focus on one theme, or one keyword, just like you do for your website. Obviously there are other forms of the keyword that can be used that are along the same basis, but it is important to stay with one theme as oppose to jumping all over the map.

The next step is determining how you will generate the traffic to your blog. The best way to generate traffic to your new blog for your internet marketing business is through article use. Writing articles is beneficial in a number of ways from the content to the title and even to the resource box. With each article you can include your keywords that you chose to focus on and throw them into your article title and content. You can then include a resource box on the bottom of the article to help promote your blog.

After you have gotten your blog up and running for a little bit you want to keep an eye on your stats just like everything else in internet marketing. You will begin to find where you are generating the most traffic from and you can begin focusing on that area and promoting that more. This will help you prioritize your time and help you avoid wasting time in areas that are not creating any traffic for your internet marketing business blog.

One of the most important things to remember to do is continuously add fresh content. If you simply add a couple new things a month, people will lose interest and not care to read the same thing they found on someone else's blog a few weeks ago. Give people new and creative content that will keep them interested in your internet marketing business. This will entertain them and force them to return to see what you have added the next week or so.

Starting a blog that is successful enough to drive traffic to your internet marketing business is a lot of work, but if you can get it going it is easy to maintain. Just by adding a few new things a week you will continue to drive traffic to your blog and website. If you are willing to put in the effort, you will be off and running with one of the most effective internet marketing tools out there.

Wordpress and General Blogging Tips

By Roberto Gomes

So I'll discuss a little about the wordpress platform, themes, recommended plugins and some tips.

If you have just started blogging, there are a few steps you should take.

1. Activate the akismet plugin. This plugin comes preinstalled with wordpress but you have to activate it and get a wordpress key (which takes 2 minutes). Akismet blocks spam comments on your blog, so if you choose to enable comments on your posts (which you should) then this plugin is a must, and best of all it's a set and forget.

2. Choose a theme. You could use the default theme, but it's way overused. The ideal is to choose a theme that is very user friendly, with good link visibility, nice color contrast, and a nice and attractive layout. If you know how to design a theme or can change a free theme to your liking, then you should do so, unique content and layout designs are always a better choice than free themes that are probably used by hundreds or more. A good place to get themes is the Wordpress Theme Directory. Another one is searching google for "free wordpress themes" :-)

3. Decide on a permalink structure, permalinks are the actual links to your blog posts, and wordpress gives you a lot of flexibility here. For maximum SEO performance, you should simply choose "yourdomain.com/blog-post-title" but this really comes down to personal preference as I personally don't think it makes that much of a difference, so you might prefer "yourdomain.com/year/month/blog-post-title" that is also search engine (and user) friendly. Whatever you choose, do activate the permalink feature because otherwise you'll have those ugly query strings all over your urls.

4. Download and install the Google XML Sitemaps Generator Plugin. This plugin takes care of updating and submitting your sitemap to Google and other search engines. This allows search engine to know more about the structure of your website.

5. Dowload and install the All In One SEO Pack Plugin. This plugin optimizes your blogs output for search engine optimization. Optimizes keywords, page titles and more.

6. Install the ShareThis plugin or a similar social bookmarking plugin. This should go right after your posts along with a reminder letting visitors know they can subscribe to your feed. This way visitors have some options when they finish reading your posts. If they like your post, they will be able to quickly submit it to whatever social bookmarking sites they use or e-mail to a friend.

7. Create an About page. You should use this page to introduce yourself to the visitors, your background, your work, what you do and like and what people should expect from your blog. This gives your blog a personal touch that helps visitors to identify you as an actual human behind the blog. Also consider placing one or several pictures of yourself on the about page (or on a photos page if you prefer) as this also greatly increases the human awareness of the visitor.

8. Create a Contact page. You can simply put up a page with e-mail instructions or use a contact me plugin like Secure and Accessible PHP Contact Form. This gives confidence to the visitor that he can reach you if he so chooses and, like the about page, gives the human touch.

9. Create an account on FeedBurner for your blog and give your visitors a visible option to subscribe to your blog by RSS and by e-mail (FeedBurner takes good care of all this). This allows users to use an rss reader or just get your posts by e-mail. Most visitors never return so you should make it easy and worthwhile for them to subscribe to your blog and receive future updates.

Well, those are 9 of the things that I think are most common and needed, but I could go on, you should familiarize yourself as much as possible with wordpress (or your other blogging platform of choice), try out new plugins and optimize your theme. It's a work in progress, but you shouldn't let that get in the way of your posting.

You could consider setting up a password protected subdomain and creating a clone blog for testing (or install it on your own computer) because once you start getting traffic you shouldn't go trying new things on your live site where things could break giving your visitors a bad surfing experience. A clone blog is obviously just a blog installation that matches your actual site with the same theme, same plugins and a few dummy posts so you can do your testing.

Once you get your blog ready to go, all that's left to do is start posting! You should make a nice first post, introducing yourself briefly and letting the reader know that you have an About page with more details. You should give some idea of what visitors can expect from your blog posts.

Now for some quick blogging tips:

1. Make constant posts. You should try your best to do about 3 posts per week minimum. This all depends on your ability to express yourself with words. If you're good at it, then post as much as you can, daily or even bidaily. If you're not, well, then try to make at least 3 posts per week.

2. Use post titles wisely. Your post title is very important as it's the part that will be most visible to the web. Create informative titles, the words you choose here will eventually make your site rank on google for some or all of those same keywords.

3. Make medium to long posts. Not saying that you can't do small blog posts, you can and should, but you should try your best to create full length and keyword rich posts. Write your best and biggest posts as if the were articles with a small intro, content and conclusion.

4. Post about other blogs. Read blogs about the same topic than yours and link to them and do your own spin on the post, agree, disagree, whatever. Basically try to engage in friendly debates with other bloggers.

5. Leave them wanting for more. End your posts with a small text about what you'll be posting about next time. Be creative and suspenseful.

6. Proof read and spell check your post before publishing. Occasional typos are ok, but proof reading and using a spell checker should keep them to a minimum.

7. Have fun! You should be having fun blogging. If you're just starting you can probably feel a little intimidated or sometimes don't knowing what to post. But you shouldn't stress to much about it, just take a break and post some other time. Blogging should be relaxing not stressful. Find inspiration around you.

Well and that's it, there you have just some blogging tips to get you started. These are of course mostly geared to blogging beginners. You can do much more with blogs and use the blogging platform to create other type of niche sites and adsense sites but that is topic for a whole different article.

Tips For Marketing Your Blog Revealed - Part 2

By Paul Liew

I have mentioned about technorati and mybloglog previously, let's continue on other web services.

3. Blog Catalog

Blog Catalog is another blog directory service similar to MyBlogLog, you can also put up a widget that showing every visitor faces.

After submitting to blog catalog, your work is to find friends and supporter. Visitor can leave a comment that whether they like the blog or not and rate it. Blog catalog rank blog by number of visitor, hits, comments and etc.

Both mybloglog and blog catalog provide some statistic of view and hits after your insert some code to your blog. That helps you to monitor the traffic.

Certain amount of fees per month enable you to upgrade to paid listing, this is to ensure that your blog will be listed top 5, first come first serve basis.

4. Stumble Upon

Stumble Upon is one of the coolest web that I like most. It is basically an anti search website, when you "stumble", it fetch others' favorite page, picture or video to you. If you like it, just click on like it or otherwise.

If your page has not found by any of the Stumble Upon member, you can be the first to rate your own blog, with this, your page will be recorded in the system and circulate to the community of stumble upon.

There are many other services pending to be discovered to market your blog, these are the free and easy way that I believe is quite efficient still, if you desperately want your blog to be listed top, there are many other paid services can help you to achieve that as well.

5. Digg it

Similar to Stumble Upon, it is for people to discover new site and pages and share among the community, blog or site can be submitted, voted and commented. The name Digg was chosen because users are able to dig new stories every thing. But the problem is the most 'Digg' only appear on the front page. Nevertheless, it still plays a role to promote your blog after you submit it.

Organizing Your Blog Will Make it Successful

By Mark A. Abrahams

Blogging has become more than just a way to put ideas down for others to read. It has become a way in which businesses market their products and services. It has become a way that is quite profitable for many individuals throughout their business endeavors. However, a blog is only as successful as its content and organization. That is why you must know how to construct the perfect blog if you want it to really work for you.

The organization

There are several parts to a blog. When starting a blog on a site such as Wordpress or Blogger, you will notice that there are several parts to the blog. You will see a sidebar that consists of a biography and links and you will see that the actual blog is in a column all to itself.

You also want to ensure that:

  • You place your blog in the right category. This usually means you're going to use keywords that are relevant to your business and the content within the blog.

  • You place a link to your site in the sidebar. You can also link certain words in your blog entry to your site. The reader may choose to click right then and there.

  • You need to offer something in your blog such as a free eBook or allow them to sign up for a newsletter. This opt-in form is a great way for you to develop sales leads.

  • You have a regular posting schedule. Having a regular schedule will help make it a part of a person's routine to check your blog. You don't want to post one day and then not post the next.

Other things to do

Make sure the content is easy to read and incorporate graphics into your blog if you can. This will make it very entertaining to read.

Write Good Blogs

By K Murphy

There is no magic formula to write good blogs. Bloggers come from all walks of life, all personality types and all age groups. You may find a 65-year-old man in Florida who blogs about the price of medications and the issues faced by the current senior population. On the other hand there's a student in Nebraska who is just entering high school wondering what he needs to do to fit in and be cool. If you want to write good blogs, you simply need to have the drive to succeed.

The word itself is taken from "web log".

Blogs are by definition a journal of events chronicled frequently by an author. They have long been a way to get information to the masses, though the actual word "blog" wasn't used to describe it until recently. What began as a creative outlet has become a worldwide phenomenon. The blog is fast becoming a capital generating tool. People who have learned to write good blogs have found a way to generate interest in their lives, products or opinions.

Repeat visitors means you're doing the right thing. If someone is visiting your blog again and again, then your content is reaching them on a personal level and they find value in the subjects that you have shared. It might prove helpful for you to visit other blogs and websites to get writing ideas.

If you've been blogging for a while, go through your previous content. There may be a topic that was not the focus of your article that you can expand upon. Something that you may not have explored before that you can re-visit, re-invent and generate some interest. Watch the news, something that strikes you as odd, unfair or just plain funny may prove to be a great subject for a blog. Remember to stay current when writing about current events. If the event is too far past, the opportunity for success with it may be too.

There is no magic formula to write good blogs. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that there are hundreds of other people in the world that are interested in the same things that you are. Learning to become a subject matter expert may not be as difficult as you originally thought. Find something that you love, get educated about it and blog, blog, blog!

Who Wins in the Battle Between Wordpress and Blogger?

By Antonio Seegars

Wordpress and Blogger are the two dominant internet blogging systems. So it's only natural that there be heated debates over which one is better.

When people want to create a blog they basically have a choice between Wordpress or Blogger. And often times because they don't want to waste any time figuring out which one is better, they just go with the one that they found out about first or heard about somebody else using. But as they go around looking at other blogs they start seeing and hearing about other people using the "other" blogging software and start to wonder why they choose that service.

If your creating your blog for business purposes it's especially essential that you understand the advantages and disadvantages between the two.

Blogger....

Advantages

• You can put Google AdSense into your blogs.

• You can promote anything that you want, any way that you want, as long as it's not illegal or against there rules and regulations

• It's free!

Disadvantages

• Unless you have your own blog template or know how to design one your not going to get a top notch looking blog.

• AdSense and other ads add a lot of clutter to pages and this can turn off visitors to your blog.

• Very basic software that you can't do much with unless you have advanced blogging technical knowledge.

Wordpress

Advantages

• Has great templates to choose from so even if you don't know much about designing blog you can still make a nice looking one.

• Very User Friendly

• Excellent for use on private domains

• It's free

Disadvantages

• Your not supposed to advertise products using wordpress, but they will allow you to advertise a few links if you don't over do it.

• You can't personalize your blog to much unless you have your own hosting and domain.

And the winner is.... Wordpress!!

With the exception of AdWords, Wordpress offers everything that blogger has and more. And if you really want to have ads on your blog you can join some ad networks.

How to Start a Blog and Make it Successful

By Antonio Seegars

Starting a blog is useful for expressing your ideas and making extra income. Below I've outlined the steps to creating your own blog.

Step 1: Go to Wordpress.com and sign-up for a blog

Some people like to use Blogger because it's owned by Google but I believe that Wordpress is a far superior blogging system. Wordpress and Blogger are free so you don't have to worry about paying for hosting fees and domain registration.

Step 2: Choose The Subject Of Your Blog

If you want your blog to be successful it has to be grounded by a solid subject, it can't just ramble all over the place unless your creating a blog strictly for entertainment purposes. If you choose a category such as Weight Loss for example, your blog should focus only on that.

You can start as many blogs as you want so if you come up with a new subject/idea you can just start a new blog to cater to it.

Step 3: Choose A Blog Template Or Design Your Own

Wordpress offers a lot of templates to choose from. If your just starting out using a template to design your blog around is the best choice. The content of your blog is generally more important then the design, so I wouldn't worry to much about design.

After you've followed all of those steps you'll have a blog ready to go. If you want to use your blog to make money, you can sell your own products, promote affiliate products or sell ad space (use AdWords) to make money from your blog.

Free Blogging Tips and Tricks

By Antonio Seegars

Blogging is becoming the favorite past-time for internet users. Because blogs are free and easy to use everybody is starting a blog But if you want to turn your blogs into profitable investments your going to need to learn a few things.

Before you start creating a blog you need to pick a niche, and after you pick a niche it's important that you maximize your blog for Search Engine Optimization. You can maximize your blog by picking good keywords. After you've found good keywords use them for your blog titles and subject lines. This will help search engines identify your blog and direct users to it.

After you've chosen good keywords for your blog it's time to provide you blog with content. I would suggest that you write SEO articles for your blog and submit them to article directories as well. This will provide you with better SEO ranking and give you additional traffic from article directories.

Now it's time to think about really generating traffic to your blog Generating traffic is the single most important step to making money on the internet. Without traffic all of your previous efforts don't matter. No matter what your selling on the internet if you generate enough traffic to it somebody will buy it.

There are a lot of unique ways you can generate traffic to your blog Some of these ways include writing comments on other blogs (if you can find blogs that compliment your own, but don't directly compete with you that would be best). You can also submit your blog to the blog directories, link your blog URL to your email, and as previously mentioned write articles for your blog and submit them to article directories with a link back to your blog.

If you don't have any products to sell you can go to Clickbank.com and look for good affiliates products or you can place pay per click ads on your blog.

Blogger Tutorials - How to Use Blogger

By Antonio Seegars

Starting a blog using blogger can be a simple or hard process depending on how to about doing it.

If your new to blogging, Blogger may be the best choice for you to start out with. After you've gotten your feet wet a little bit, or if you want to use your blog for business purposes you can think about switching to Wordpress. Wordpress in my opinion is a much better blogging system for people who are serious about blogging. But if your just blogging for entertainment purposes, Blogger is probably sufficient for your blogging needs.

Getting started with a Blogger blog is simple, all you need to do is go to Blogger.com and sign up for a free blog. If you use Gmail you don't even need to create a new account, you can just use your gmail account.

After you sign-up for your blog you need to choose a name and a template for it. The subject of your blog should determine the name of it. So try to pick a name that identifies with the subject of your blog. You don't want to mislead people and then have them turn away once they get to your blog. Try to give your blog a name that people can remember.

After picking a name for your blog its time to pick a template to design your blog around. Templates are good if you don't know how to design blog templates. The template that you choose isn't permanent so if you decide that you don't like the look of your blog, later on you can change it.

Once you've finished naming and designing the look of your blog, the next step is providing content for it. You can either create original content for your blogs yourself or you can use free information on the internet for blog content.

Make Money Mini Blogging - Should You Use Twitter?

By Angela Booth

A blog takes time, but what if you could blog just 28 words to make money? Mini blogging is a new trend online. Discover how to make this form of marketing work for you.

There are several different mini blogging applications you can use; Twitter is one of them. I admit, when I first discovered Twitter I thought it was a waste of time, but lately it's become one of my favorite marketing tools.

Warning: Mini Blogging Is Not Direct Marketing

The mini blogging tools are a form of social media; they keep you in touch with your friends. This means that using them as a direct marketing tool, by twittering items like "Buy this [link]" for example, will ensure that no one pays attention to you.

Since these are SOCIAL tools, use Twitter to make friends first. Then your marketing will be a natural extension of your social activities.

How to Use Twitter for Marketing

Since you can't market directly from Twitter, you need a Web site or blog to share your marketing endeavors. Don't be concerned if you don't already have a site. Build your relationships on Twitter, and when your site is ready, you can Twitter about your work on the site, to provide an immediate flow of traffic.

Once you have a Web site, link the site to Twitter by going to the Settings tab on Twitter, and adding your URL to the More Info URL field, and pressing the Save button. Now your site is accessible directly from your Twitter Profile. Anyone who want to learn more about you, can access your site.

Then just continue to add items to Twitter. If you're promoting a new product in affiliate marketing for example, tell your Twitter friends about it. But lots of fun social messages too.

The big benefit of Twitter is the social network you develop, and the constant and increasing flow of traffic to your Web site which develops from this. As your Twitter followers increase - and the people you're following increase too, your network and traffic grows. With more traffic, the make your mini blogging activities generate grows too.
