Business Blogging For Profit

Do you remember the old ways of keeping in touch with your clients? You usually contacted them by telephone, fax machines, direct mail marketing and even personal meetings. But now, entrepreneurs are becoming smarter by using existing internet technology to be kept up-to-date with the latest trends in business and in contact with their customers. Some of the latest trends and/or changes are text and voice chat capabilities in lieu of emails, website forums, etc.

Blogging is another internet tool that has made a dramatic transformation. Originally, blogging was just used to show different thoughts and ideas; basically, a bunch of personal diaries and/or bulletin boards for someone sharing their expertise on a particular subject. In 2008, we now use blogging as a promotion tool to boost our businesses. Blogs, now, compliment a website. Rather than emailing your customers/clients, you can use your blog to keep them informed on the latest changes on your website, sales updates, new products, etc. Adding a RSS feed makes your blog even more valuable to your business.

From Regular Blogs to Business Blogs

From regular blogs (diary blogs) to what we call now the "business blog", can help you save thousands of dollars and provides you a great business opportunity. Not only are some blogs free to use, they are also user-friendly; can be customized; and a flexible medium for circulating useful information for effective positioning of your products/services in the market.

There are many noteworthy advantages for entrepreneurs who engage in business blogging as follows:

  • There are more than 100,000 blogs posted on the Internet. Statistics show that there are currently 14 million blogs posted on the Internet with an estimated 80,000 more being added everyday. In addition, 30% of 50 million Internet users are blog readers. Just think of the number of possible audiences you can attract if you advertise your product through blogs.
  • With your blogs, you can allow your clients to post their comments related to the product you are offering. It can be a great help in improving your product through the suggestions that are being posted. In addition, you can take immediate actions regarding your clients' concerns.
You may ask yourself, "How do I make my business blog as effective as the other means of Internet advertising available?" Your best answer is to have your blog submitted to the numerous blog search sites and directories. This would be your best move especially if your site is newly constructed. Be sure to include your website URL.

Business blogs provide you great marketing possibilities for your product(s) and/or service(s). Remember, your potential clients are just around the corner waiting for you to post on your business blogs.
