One of the biggest problems people have when they are blogging is that they don't draw readers in and keep them interested. Solid information is good, but you don't want stale information that's been your most recent post for weeks, or to be a boring blogger who doesn't engage people.
One of the reasons that people visit blogs is for entertainment. Sure visitors want to learn from you and get the good, solid information, but it certainly doesn't hurt to let your personality loose.
Blogs are more personable than regular websites since readers can interact with you by leaving comments on your posts. You are creating a relationship with your blog readers and a lot of them are going to be people who follow you over time.
They want to know things about you and your life. People like networking and getting to know people. So, let them get to know you!
Another thing that you could do to keep content fresh is have guest contributors. Some of your readers might be able to give you some really great content to put on your blog. You could even get a few different contributors for your blog.
Think about all of that content out there you could be getting - getting for free and helping your contributors at the same time. I love that!
It's "outside the box" thinking that can really explode your blog. Let's face it, we all get busy sometimes and we all have other aspects of our online business to run. But when it comes to our blogs, we need to keep it fresh and interesting!
