The key to making money with your blog is to increase traffic to your blog and there are several ways to do this; most of them simple, easy and imminently doable. Why not try it out? Once you take your first step you will find that the going is easier than you thought.
Step 1- Set Up
The first step is to set up a fun and informative blog title and add great posts on a frequent basis. Make sure your blog posts are written well and cover topics that your readers will enjoy. Also be sure to use keywords that are relevant to your topic throughout your post. This will help search engines link to your posts when someone is searching for that topic. You should also add pictures to your posts. This not only gives your page a higher viewing pleasure, it also will help if someone searches the internet for a specific photo.
Step 2- Submit
Once you have your site up and running, you can submit it to numerous sites on the web to increase traffic. You should always submit to the popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo. You can also add your site to web pages using a link or submit your blog to sites like Reddit or Stumbleupon to attract new visitors. If you use sites like Myspace and Facebook, you can also list your blogs there as well. The best thing to do is simply list the link instead of your posts. Always offer your readers an RSS feed as well, so they will know when you add new content.
Step 3- Manage
Once your site is up and running, it is all about management. Make sure you respond to all comments left on your post. Your readers are more likely to come back if they know their opinions are valued. When reading other bloggers content, make sure you leave a link back to your own if you have relevant content. If your blog contains information on a similar topic as another post, don't be afraid to add a link to that person's page. These links will help each of you get noticed and it may offer you the opportunity to be viewed by some of the other people's visitors.
