Blogging - Creating Targeted Traffic - Why You Need to Do It

By Jennifer Patton

Recently, while doing research for my blog- not only for topics to write on but also how to make it better- I came across Yaro Starak's Blog Profits Blueprint. After reading his story and how he makes over $10,000 monthly from just his blog, no one had to twist my arm to get me to download my copy of the blueprint.

A very well put together piece, Blog Profits Blueprint really captured my attention during this particular section:

"Blogs are essentially the same. The more traffic (circulation) you have, the type and quality of that traffic (reader demographics) and the influence you have over your audience, determines your profitability." ....."Quality of traffic plays an important part too. If you have a strong influence over your readers, when you ask them to do something, such as recommending a product that you promote as an affiliate, more of them will do so."

And why this caught my attention? Sometimes it seems when you read articles or listen to people talk about blogging and creating traffic flow they only focus on the flow. I personally would rather have 10 quality people who are really reading my information, gathering knowledge off of it, and deciding that the products that I endorse are good quality products, then 100 people who joined my feed for the sake of joining and never read what I have to say.

In saying that, I realize that I may be offending some people who really don't care who reads their blog-as long as it gets read. And that is great if your only purpose for blogging is for fun, but if you are looking not only to educate but to make a profit, you have to learn how to do it correctly or you will be spinning your wheels forever.

So, if you are blogging either for business building purposes or creating a stream of income- and most of us are- then you want to be really targeting the people whose interest you want to capture and attract. Traffic is key but targeted traffic gets results.

But how do you create that quality traffic? Yaro then goes on to tell us exactly what to do and how to do it the way that he did. I was really amazed by the quality of this free download. Although some things, like talking about what a blog is were basic, I easily learned 10 new things that I could put into action that I know will get results.

But I think the interesting part was seeing how he took a free, easy to use tool and turned it into a money generating cash cow for himself. I will admit it- I did not realize how much potential that there was behind a powerful, consistent, and captivating blog.

Whether you are looking to create quality traffic, learn how to write better blog articles, or just make your blog more interesting, I would recommend Blog Profits Blueprint. It has a very easy to read format and also has a great video within.
