Make Money Blogging - 1 VS 100? Quantity VS Quality?

By Kurt Bai

Making money blogging is not easy work. It won't make you rich over night. You have to put a lot of time and effort to research profitable niches and keywords, find reliable hosting, write or outsource content, getting traffic, and a lot more.

If you are using Adsense as a form of monetizing your blogs, you may find it hard to earn even just 1 dollar a day, especially when you are just starting out. Here's when some of the so-called gurus out there offering services such as creating 100 blogs for you and you will make $100 a day if each of them makes $1 a day. Sounds good and feasible in theory. But it will never happen in reality. Continue reading and find out why.

Content

Getting content for 100 blogs is an astounding task. Maybe the service comes with a complete archive of PLR articles on every niche that you can use on your blogs. But a thousand others are doing the same. Your blogs will be soon ignored by the search engine spiders due to duplicate content.

Links

Getting quality one way links for your blogs is not easy work. You at least need to spend around 30 minutes a day to get links using forums, bookmark sites, social network sites, comment on other blogs, submit articles, and more. Imagine doing that for 100 blogs. Without quality links, the search engines will not view your blogs as worthy and authoritative to be put on the first pages of SERPs. They maybe get indexed, but it has no use when they are buried in the millions of results.

Traffic

Getting traffic to one blog is easy. But 100? To make 1 dollar a day you need at least 50 unique visitors a day with an average 4 to 5 page views. Imagine the work load to do that for 100 blogs. The important part is that even though you get traffic, it's not sustainable. Because of the duplicate content problem, visitors won't mind coming back again, let alone mouthing about your blogs to others. The potential for viral traffic is therefore lost.

Google

If you have your Adsense code on too many low quality websites, Google may ban you from using Adsense! Google is all about quality. They won't tolerate too many low quality blogs embedded with their ads.

Quality is essential if you are serious about make money blogging. Instead of putting up 100 low quality blogs in a week and dreaming about that $100 a day, you should start researching niches and your interests and focus on 1, 2, or maximum3 blogs. Put your effort in something you know and are interested in, you'll make that $100 a day, if not more.
