The Best Blogging Secret I Ever Learned I Learned in a Blog, Go Figure

By Kevin D Browne

The best blogging suggestion I can give you is something you may already know. But it bears repeating. Blogs attached to your domain are your #1 way to dominate the keywords in your niche.

Let's say you're a local painting company. You have a website, and have been told (correctly) to throw up a blog and to contribute to it DAILY.

Why? Aren't you up to your ears in paint after a long day. Haven't you had it with colors and brushes and the fact that several of your guys keep falling off ladders?

You contribute to your blog AFTER you do some keyword research because when you do (and that research can be done for free) you can 'own' all of the keywords that will enable local customers to find you.

"Affordable Painting In San Diego."

"Chicago's Best Local Painters."

"Local Denver Painting Companies That Are Fast."

Those are all single keywords. Those are all opportunities for you to own those keywords as you contribute to your blog using those keywords on a daily basis. PS...using a Free Wordpress blog will increase your results dramatically...but that's just between you and me.

In effect, blogging correctly and religiously is like give hungry Google what it wants...because people are typing in those search terms! And it is the job of a search engine to find the results for those people. And if you contribute enough of them to your blog and make the search engines' lives easier, you get higher and higher rankings.

Higher and higher rankings mean you get more and more traffic.

More and more traffic mean you get the OPPORTUNITY to make more and more sales.

It is at this exact stage of your best blogging practices that you take a further step, a step that I am now teaching to hundreds of other web owners. And it is this next step that takes your online businesses to heights you could not imagine.

Heights those guys who keep falling off ladders would NEVER get to.
