Although it is not a new trend, I still find that plenty of affiliate marketers overlook blogging as a form of affiliate promotion, and not only are they leaving money on the table like this but they are missing out on a practice that has the potential to really build credibility for your website. You see, blogs are loved by the search engines if you work at them and do things correctly, regularly updated content is something that will really hold you in a good position in the search engines and with that good position comes more traffic for your affiliate promotion, you can then use this extra traffic to test different offers and build your own credibility with your return visitors. A blog that is regularly added to with fresh content will always have people returning for more, so here are my blogging tips for you:
1. Set a schedule and stick to it If you can write once a day on your blog, then set that as your goal and stick to it, going over that is okay but what you do not want to do is to end up being too erratic with your posting, regular readers will convert to buyers if they have a reason to come back so make it worthwhile for them and be reliable as a source of information.
2. Do not promote too much Blogging for profits is a little bit like attraction marketing for your affiliate promotion, you don't need to push the sales too much because over time your credibility will build with your readers and they will be happy to make a purchase of products on your recommendation.
3. Think people first Tons of new bloggers focus their blogs too much on keyword targeted posts and they forget that human beings are to be reading their posts, as much as you want to rank well in the search engines, if you don't produce content that is human readable then any traffic you do get will be wasted and will leave as fast as they arrived.
4. Don't forget your end goal You may enjoy writing, and you may enjoy providing content for your readers, but if you are blogging for profits then your end goal should be to drive traffic to your affiliate promotion, or any of your offers so always keep this in mind when you are creating content for your blog.
