Need more web site traffic to your blog? Getting more traffic is the major determining factor over whether your blog is going to be successful or not, after all it doesn't matter how useful and informative your writing is, if no-one visits you'll never know how popular your blog will be. To be successful you need to write about topics that people are interested in and would be searching for. Next you need to start thinking about the terms that people would be typing in to a search engine to find such a post. If you are writing about your favorite PS3 game then tips and strategies for solving hard levels would be far more popular than just talking about how you got top score or how 'cool' a game is. Next have a quick look to see if anyone else is actually searching for different keywords for your topic. Head over to Wordtracker at freekeywords.wordtracker.com and type in a keyword to see how many daily searches it gets. Try and look for a phrase that has at least 30 daily searches. Next go to Google and see how much competition that phrase has by putting your keywords in "quotes". If there are under 10,000 competing web pages then you are onto a winner.
Once you have made each post send a message to the search engines that your blog is now updated by pinging it. You can do that at places such as pingomatic.com or pingoat.com. Just enter your blog address and name and choose the General pinging list and submit.
Finally send free traffic to your blog via article marketing (yes just like this article you are reading now is designed to send traffic to my site, you can do the same with yours). Writing relevant and helpful articles and using your address in the author resource box is a great way to drive targeted traffic directly to your blog.
